NCT ID: NCT05322018 Recruiting - Pain Clinical Trials

Validation of Faces Thermometer Scale (FTS)

Start date: May 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aim of this study is to evaluate validity and reliability of a novel digital pain measure tool, the Faces Thermometer Scale (FTS). Pain is commonly reported by children and adolescents undergoing dental treatment. Pain is also a strongly contributing factor in the development of Dental Fear and Anxiety (DFA). Professionals often underestimate the pain perceived by their patients. Self-report tools are seldom used to measure pain in a clinical setting, denying child patients the possibility to communicate their pain experiences. The aim of this study is to evaluate validity and reliability of a digital self-report pain measure tool, the Faces Thermometer Scale (FTS). Children and adolescents (N=150) aged 8 to 17 years visiting a dental clinic will be asked to score their pain using three different self-report pain tools; FTS, Faces Pain Scale-Revised (FPS-R) and Color Analog Scale (CAS). The validity and reliability of FPS-R and CAS is long established and will therefore be used to evaluate the psychometric properties of FTS.

NCT ID: NCT05321706 Recruiting - Kidney Failure Clinical Trials

DAPAgliflozin for Renal Protection in Heart Transplant Recipients

DAPARHT
Start date: June 8, 2022
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Kidney failure is common in heart transplant recipients and is a major cause of morbidity and mortality. Sodium-glucose transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors were developed as antidiabetics but were subsequently shown to reduce the incidence of adverse cardiovascular outcomes and protect renal function in non-diabetics as well as diabetics. However, SGLT2 inhibitors have not been tested in clinical trials in heart transplant recipients. The DAPARHT trial is designed to assess the effect of the SGLT2 inhibitor dapagliflozin to prevent deteriorating renal function in heart transplant recipients. Secondary objectives are to assess the impact of treatment on i) weight, ii) glucose homeostasis, iii) proteinuria, iv) the number of rejections, and (v) safety and tolerability. As exploratory outcomes, the investigators will assess the effect of treatment on renal outcomes, clinical events (death, myocardial infarction, cerebral stroke, cancer, and end-stage renal disease), cardiac function, quality of life, and new-onset diabetes.

NCT ID: NCT05321628 Recruiting - Depression Clinical Trials

Evaluating Clinical Routines for ICBT

Start date: December 3, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The overall aim of this study is to test the clinical benefits of an AI-based decision support tool (DST) and to evaluate how the DST affects therapists and their patients with depression, social anxiety, or panic disorder during 12 weeks of ICBT.

NCT ID: NCT05317416 Recruiting - Multiple Myeloma Clinical Trials

Study With Elranatamab Versus Lenalidomide in Patients With Newly Diagnosed Multiple Myeloma After Transplant

MagnetisMM-7
Start date: March 25, 2022
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether elranatamab monotherapy can provide clinical benefit compared to lenalidomide monotherapy (control) in participants with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma after undergoing autologous stem cell transplant. In Part 1 and Part 2 of the study, participants in the study will either receive elranatamab (arm A and C) as an injection under the skin at the study clinic or lenalidomide orally once daily at home (arm B). Participation in the study will be approximately five years

NCT ID: NCT05316974 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Cancer of Head and Neck

Lymphoedema Among Persons With Head- and Neck Cancer

Start date: October 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Lymphedema in the head and neck area is common after treatment for head and neck cancer. The aim of the research project is: • to assess the prevalence of lymphedema in patients with head and neck cancer (HNC) by measuring the amount of tissue water in the head and neck area before and after different kinds of cancer treatment, and to evaluate the quality of life before and after cancer treatment.

NCT ID: NCT05314530 Recruiting - Burnout Clinical Trials

The ReTA-model: Rehabilitation Trail for Workers on Long-term Sick Leave in the Healthcare Sector

ReTA-model
Start date: March 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The ReTA-model is a rehabilitation model for return to work after long-term sickness absence (LTSA) due to stress or burnout. The ReTA-model will be validated in this trial among nurses and physicians currently in LTSA. The ReTA-model includes a three-week treatment with exercise, individual and collegial talks with psychology and lecturing. The control group will receive conventional rehabilitation from regular care.

NCT ID: NCT05310578 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Cervical Radiculopathy

Functioning in Individuals With Cervical Radiculopathy After Posterior Cervical Decompression

Start date: August 22, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Compression on structures, as spinal nerves, in the cervical spine can cause cervical radiculopathy which leads to pain, disability, and reduced quality of life for the affected individual. Cervical foraminotomy with our without laminectomy are common posterior decompression surgical techniques for treating cervical radiculopathy. There is a lack of knowledge regarding function in patients with cervical radiculopathy after posterior cervical decompression. The aim with this study is to study pain, function, psychosocial factors, and health related quality of life after posterior cervical decompression in patients with cervical radiculopathy. This is a prospective multicenter longitudinal observational cohort study with follow-up at three, 12- and 24 months postoperative. A total of 154 individuals scheduled to undergo foraminotomy with our without laminectomy due to cervical radiculopathy will be included. Primary outcome is neck-specific function measured with the Neck Disability Index. Data will be collected preoperatively and at three, 12 and 24 months with electronic questionnaire.
