Rotation-traction Manipulation of Different Treatment Frequency in Cervical Radiculopathy

The evidence for different frequencies of rotation-traction manipulation treatment in cervical radiculopathy is insufficient. This study determined whether 3 sessions per week of rotation-traction manipulation treatment are superior to 1 session per week for symptomatic outcomes in cervical radiculopathy based on a multicenter randomized controlled trial.

Cervicogenic angina (CA) is defined as paroxysmal angina- like pain that originates from the disorders of the cervical spine or other neck structures. Because CA mimics typical cardiac angina, symptoms in the elderly with cervical spondylosis are more frequently misdiagnosed Nakajima H, 2006. Patients with CA may have suffered symptoms for longer periods of time and seen several clinicians due to conflicting cardiac exams. Clinicians and patients are unaware that CA symptoms are stemming from cervical spine disorders. However, the mechanism of pain occurrence in patients with CA remains unclear.

Efficacy of a Combination of Conservative Treatments Compared to Isometric Exercise on Clinical Outcomes in Patients With Cervical Radiculopathy

This intervention study is to evaluate the efficacy of a combination of conservative treatments compared to isometric exercise on clinical outcomes in patients with cervical radiculopathy. It is a randomized, parallel, 2-arm superiority trial study. The study will be conducted at the District General Hospital in Trincomalee, where patients with cervical radiculopathy seek medical care. Patients who refer to the Department of Physical Medicine (DPM) from the Out Patients Department (OPD), orthopedic clinic and surgical clinic with a diagnosis of cervical radiculopathy or neck and arm pain (symptoms extending distal to the shoulder) will be eligible for recruitment. The study details will be explained to the subjects in the language that they best understand. Written informed consent will be obtained from the individuals who express their willingness to participate in the study, and they will sign the informed consent document accordingly.

-The goal of this observational study is to learn about the impact of the changes in cranio-vertebral angle on the cervicogenic dizziness and the risk of falling in the patients with cervical radiculopathy .The main question it aims to answer is: Is there an impact of the changes in cranio-vertebral angle on the cervicogenic dizziness and the risk of falling in the patients with cervical radiculopathy ? The participants will be undergone measuring the cranio-vertebral angle ,assessment of cervical proprioception and other tasks and questions through 3scales . Researchers will compare between study group and control group to see if there isimpact of the changes in cranio-vertebral angle on the cervicogenic dizziness and the risk of falling in the patients with cervical radiculopathy .

Anterior and Posterior Decompression Surgery in Individuals With Cervical Radiculopathy and Headache

This is a prospective observational register-based cohort study with 2 years follow-up with data from the national Swedish Spine Register (Swespine). The aim is to study the differences between anterior and posterior decompression surgery on neck-related disability, headache, and neck- and arm pain in individuals with cervical radiculopathy and headache. Secondary, to study predictive factors for an improvement in neck-related disability, headache and neck- and arm pain after decompression srurgery. All individuals underwent either anterior or posterior decompression surgery and were operated between 2014-2021. Patient-reported data was collected preoperatively (baseline), and at 1- and 2-year follow-ups and surgeon-reported data regarding the operation were collected directly after the operation. Primary outcome is self-reported neck-related disability measured with Neck Disability Index and secondary outcomes are headache, measured with an item about headache of Neck Disability Index, and neck- and arm pain, measured with a 0 to 10-point numeric rating scale.

Predictors of Response to Manual Physiotherapy Using Somatosensory Profiles in Patients With Cervicobrachial Pain

The goal of this clinical trial is to investigate about the characteristics that predict response to physiotherapy treatment in patients with nerve related neck arm pain. The main question to answer is whether there is a subgroup that responds better to physiotherapy treatment. Participants will be assessed for clinical and neurophysiological characteristics prior to treatment. Afterwards they will receive 6 sessions of manual physiotherapy treatment along with home nerve gliding exercises once a week. Baseline measurements will be taken again after treatment to know if there have been any changes.
