NCT ID: NCT00770939 Completed - Clinical trials for Diabetic Foot Ulcers

Evaluation of the Effect of Vivostat Platelet Rich Fibrin(PRF) in the Treatment of Diabetic Foot Ulcers

Start date: July 2008
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Diabetic foot ulcers are a challenge to health care professionals because there are only few effective topical therapeutic interventions. Growth factor treatment has shown to be beneficial for healing of diabetic foot ulcers in conjunction with extensive surgical debridement. Autologues platelet releasate which contains platelet derived growth factor appears to be more effective than standard therapy in case studies. This protocol will evaluate the healing effect of Vivostat PRF treatment of non-eschemic foot ulcers to identify responders and to enable sample size calculation for a subsequent pivotal trial.

NCT ID: NCT00770003 Completed - Allergic Rhinitis Clinical Trials

Tolerability/PoP Study in Allergic Rhinitis After Intranasal Administration of AZD8848

Start date: September 2008
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The primary purpose is to investigate tolerability/safety of repeated weekly doses of AZD8848 administered intranasally to seasonal allergic rhinitis patients.

NCT ID: NCT00767520 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Safety and Efficacy of Exemestane Plus Dasatinib Versus Placebo for Advanced ER+ Breast Cancer

Start date: February 2009
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether exemestane plus dasatinib will be well-tolerated and will increase progression-free survival (PFS) in the treatment of advanced estrogen-receptor positive (ER+) breast cancer after disease progression (PD) on a non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor (NSAI).

NCT ID: NCT00767221 Completed - IGA Nephropathy Clinical Trials

Oral Treatment With PL-56 in Patients With IgA Nephropathy - an Explorative Study

Start date: October 2005
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The study will investigate the effect of PL-56 on albumin leakage and renal function (glomerular filtration rate) in patients with IgA nephropathy. It will also assess the safety of treatment with PL-56.

NCT ID: NCT00767169 Completed - Clinical trials for Edentatio (Toothlessness)

Bisphosphonate-coated Dental Implants

Start date: October 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Dental implants (screws for fastening false teeth) have been coated with bisphosphonates (drugs that slow down removal of bone). Patients get one such screw and one without coating, by a surgeon who does not know which is which. The screws are compared by measuring how well fixed they are by a vibration measuring technique, and x-rays. The hypothesis is that the bisphosphonates will improve fixation.

NCT ID: NCT00765830 Completed - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2

Safety and Tolerability of Vildagliptin Versus Placebo in Patients With Type 2 Diabetes and Moderate or Severe Renal Insufficiency (28 Week Extension)

Start date: September 2008
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This clinical trial is designed to provide additional information on the safety and tolerability of vildagliptin (50 mg once daily (qd)) when used in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and moderate or severe renal insufficiency

NCT ID: NCT00765674 Completed - Hypertension Clinical Trials

Efficacy and Safety of Aliskiren/Amlodipine/Hydrochlorothiazide in Patients With Moderate-severe Hypertension

Start date: September 2008
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study evaluated the efficacy (blood pressure lowering effect) and safety of aliskiren/amlodipine/hydrochlorothiazide in patients with moderate to severe hypertension.

NCT ID: NCT00765063 Completed - Diabetic Foot Ulcer Clinical Trials

The Effect Of Fragmin In The Treatment Of Neuroischaemic Foot Ulcers In Diabetic Patients (A6301086)

Start date: October 2008
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this 6 month open-label extension trial is to evaluate long-term safety and tolerability of dalteparin in treatment of chronic neuroischaemic foot ulcers in diabetic patients with peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAOD) and peripheral neuropathy.

NCT ID: NCT00764621 Completed - Clinical trials for Colorectal Neoplasms

Health Economic Evaluation of Primovist-enhanced Liver MRI

Start date: October 2008
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Patients with a history of colorectal cancer and known or suspected liver metastases who are scheduled for contrast-enhanced tomographic imaging will be included in this study. After randomization to either Primovist-enhanced MRI, extracellular contrast media (ECCM)-enhanced MRI or contrast-enhanced (CE)-CT outcomes and resource needs of the diagnostic work-up and treatment will be evaluated for each of the three imaging modalities. Main objectives of the study are to assess the proportion of patients for whom further imaging is required to come to a therapy decision and to evaluate the proportion of patients with intraoperatively modified surgical plans after Primovist-enhanced MRI as compared to ECCM-enhanced MRI and CE-CT.

NCT ID: NCT00763971 Completed - ADHD Clinical Trials

Randomized, Double-blind Safety and Efficacy Study of Lisdexamfetamine Dimesylate (LDX) in Children and Adolescents Aged 6-17

Start date: November 17, 2008
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The main aim of this study is to see if giving LDX to children and adolescents aged 6-17 years with ADHD decreases symptoms of ADHD.
