Start date: June 2014
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This Phase III, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multicenter study will assess the efficacy and safety of lebrikizumab in adult patients with mild to moderate asthma treated with short-acting beta-agonist (SABA) therapy alone. Patients will be randomized in a 1:1:1 ratio to receive either blinded lebrikizumab or placebo treatment by subcutaneous (SC) injection (every 4 weeks for a total of 3 doses) or open-label treatment with Singulair (Montelukast; 10 mg daily). Time on study treatment will last 12 weeks.

Start date: March 2014
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to characterize the natural history of HPP in patients with Juvenile-onset HPP.

Extension Study of Etelcalcetide for Treatment of Secondary Hyperparathyroidism in Patients With Chronic Kidney Disease on Hemodialysis

Start date: March 25, 2014
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a multicenter, single-arm, extension study to characterize the long-term safety and tolerability of etelcalcetide in the treatment of Secondary Hyperparathyroidism (SHPT) in adults with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) on hemodialysis.

The purpose of this study is to assess the pharmacokinetics (PK) of BIA 9-1067 in patients with moderate chronic hepatic impairment and in matched healthy subjects.

NCT ID: NCT02100475 Completed - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2

A Trial Comparing Sequential Addition of Insulin Aspart Versus Further Dose Increase With Insulin Degludec/Liraglutide in Subjects With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Previously Treated With Insulin Degludec/Liraglutide and Metformin and in Need of Further Intensification

DUALâ„¢
Start date: April 2014
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This trial is conducted globally. The aim of the trial is to compare sequential addition of insulin aspart versus further dose increase with insulin degludec/liraglutide in subjects with type 2 diabetes mellitus, previously treated with insulin degludec/liraglutide and metformin and in need of further intensification. This is an extension to trial NN9068-3952, NCT01952145 (DUALâ„¢ V).

NCT ID: NCT02099721 Completed - Clinical trials for Ventricular Arrythmia

Improve Sudden Cardiac Arrest Study

Start date: March 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate that primary prevention patients with one or more additional risk factors (1.5 prevention criteria: syncope/pre-syncope, non-sustained ventricular tachycardia (NSVT), frequent pre-ventricular contractions (PVCs), and low left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF)) are at a similar risk of life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias (LTVA) when compared to secondary prevention patients, and would receive similar benefit from an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD), or cardiac resynchronization therapy- defibrillator (CRT-D) implant.

NCT ID: NCT02099565 Completed - Clinical trials for Major Adverse Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Events (MACCE)

Observational Prospective Study OPTIMA II - Follow-up

OPTIMAII
Start date: May 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The current follow-up study was planned to reveal the rates of Major Adverse Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Events (MACCE) during 4-year follow-up in patients participated in OPTIMA study. In addition, the long-term effects of statins on LDL-cholesterol and different biomarkers in patients after drug-eluting stents implantation will be assessed. In addition, such project implementation will allow to clarify the treatment options used by Russian patients with CAD (Coronary Artery Disease) after drug-eluting stent implantation. The information received in this study will help to optimize management of Russian patients with CAD after PCI in order to improve prognosis and quality of life of these patients.
