There are about 2645 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Puerto Rico. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Cancer is a condition where cells in a specific part of body grow and reproduce uncontrollably. The purpose of this study is to assess adverse events and change in disease activity when ABBV-400 is given to adult participants to treat advanced solid tumors. ABBV-400 is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. Study doctors put the participants in groups called cohorts. Each cohort receives ABBV-400 alone (monotherapy) followed by a safety follow-up period. Approximately 220 adult participants with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), biliary tract cancers (BTC), esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), triple negative breast cancer (TNBC), hormone receptor+/human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 negative (HER2-) breast cancer (hormone receptor-positive [HR+]/HER2-breast cancer [BC]), head and neck squamous-cell-carcinoma (HNSCC), or advanced solid tumors, will be enrolled in the study in approximately 60 sites worldwide. In the each cohorts, participants with the following advanced solid tumor indications: HCC, PDAC, BTC, ESCC, TNBC, HR+/HER2-BC, and HNSCC will receive intravenous (IV) ABBV-400 monotherapy for up to 2 years during and up to the treatment period with an additional safety follow-up period of up to 2 years. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at an approved institution (hospital or clinic). The effect of the treatment will be frequently checked by medical assessments, blood tests, questionnaires and side effects.
This is a phase III, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multi-center, global study to explore the efficacy and safety of volrustomig in women with high-risk LACC (FIGO 2018 stage IIIC to IVA cervical cancer with lymph node involvement) who have not progressed following platinum-based CCRT.
This study is open to adults who are at least 18 years old and have a body mass index (BMI)bof 27 kg/m2 or more. People can take part if they have cardiovascular or chronic kidney disease. People who have at least 2 health problems related to their weight or risks of cardiovascular disease can participate. Participants must have previously tried to lose weight by changing their diet. The purpose of this study is to find out whether people with overweight or obesity who take a medicine called survodutide (BI 456906) are less or more likely to develop serious cardiovascular problems. It also aims to find out whether health parameters like blood pressure improve. Overweight and obesity are linked to cardiovascular disease. Survodutide is a medicine that is developed to help people with obesity or overweight to lose weight. Participants are divided into 3 groups of almost equal size. 2 groups get different doses of survodutide and 1 group gets placebo. Placebo looks like survodutide but does not contain any medicine. Every participant has a 2 in 3 chance of getting survodutide. Participants inject survodutide or placebo under the skin once a week. All participants also receive counselling on diet and physical activity. Participants are in the study for up to 2 years and 3 months. During this time, it is planned that participants visit the study site up to 21 times and attend remote visits by video calls. During these visits, the doctors check participants' cardiovascular and overall health. The results are compared between survodutide and placebo groups. The study staff also takes note of any unwanted effects.
A Phase 1, open-label, dose-escalation clinical trial of MBQ-167 in participants with advanced Breast Cancer for whom Standard of Care (SOC) has failed or has proven intolerable.
The study trains clinicians to return personal exposure results to study participants in pregnancy cohorts, and measures outcomes for environmental health literacy for both clinicians and study participants.
The main objective of this study is to compare the efficacy of sonrotoclax plus zanubrutinib versus venetoclax plus obinutuzumab in participants with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL)
The study is divided into 2 parts (Part A and Part B). Part A of the study will evaluate the safety and immune response to mRNA-1345 in high-risk adults aged ≥18 to <60 years. Part B of the study will evaluate the safety and immune response to mRNA-1345 in adults who received solid organ transplant (SOT).
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Luspatercept when administered at the maximum approved dose in low-risk Myelodysplastic Syndrome participants who require red blood cell transfusions.
The main purpose of this study is to assess efficacy and safety of orforglipron compared with oral semaglutide in participants with Type 2 diabetes and inadequate glycemic control with metformin. The study will last around 61 weeks.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of an intravenous (IV) perioperative dexamethasone regime in the clinical outcomes after a robotic-assisted Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) in a Hispanic population. The study aims to propose an alternative to opioid-based pain treatment following TKA. The study hopefully validates the use of a two-dose, 8mg intravenous dexamethasone regimen for improving pain and range of motion scores in patients undergoing primary, unilateral TKA for osteoarthritis. One dose will be applied prior to incision and the other at post-operative day (POD) 1.
