NCT ID: NCT04713410 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Steroid-Sensitive Nephrotic Syndrome

Comparison of Relapse Rate After 12 Weeks Verses 20 Weeks Steroid Therapy for the Management of First Episode of Steroid Sensitive Nephrotic Syndrome

Start date: December 22, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

All children from 1 to 8 years of age, diagnose with nephrotic syndrome for the first time will be divided into two groups. One group will be given steroids for 12 weeks and other group will receive steroid for 20 weeks. During the 1 years after completion of steroid course patients will be monitor for the episodes of relapse in both group.

NCT ID: NCT04708873 Recruiting - Obesity Clinical Trials

Effect of High Intensity Aerobic & Resistance Interval Training on Body Composition, Visceral Adiposity and Myocardial Function in Overweight and Obese Adults

Start date: November 25, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The obesity epidemic, predisposing to cardio-metabolic diseases, has increased two-folds over the last decade with a global alarming cost of obesity-associated illnesses, thus representing a grave peril for the survival of public health care systems. It is need of the time to develop evidence-based, time-efficient and cost-effective strategies to prevent and manage obesity. This study would compare the effects of 2 types of exercise regimes providing data on their beneficial effects on body composition and myocardial function along with reducing the central adiposity. This study may also be used as a novel intervention strategy for primary prevention of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases by modification of a major risk factor i.e. obesity in Pakistani population, consequently reducing the burden of morbidity and mortality from cardiometabolic diseases.

NCT ID: NCT04707287 Recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Association of Tumour Grade and Sex Steroid Receptor as a Prognostic Index in Breast Cancer

Start date: July 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Null hypothesis: Histological grade of tumour bears no relation with the status of sex hormone receptors. Alternate hypothesis: Both the histological grade of tumour and expression of sex steroid receptors are directly related to each other The investigators aim to; 1. see the relationship of sex steroid receptors with the histological grade of breast cancer. 2. evaluate the efficacy of steroid receptors as a prognostic factor

NCT ID: NCT04700215 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Complications

Comparison of BiPAP and ٰIS in Reducing Post CABG Pulmonary Complications

Start date: March 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To evaluate the effect of Bi-level Positive Airway Pressure (BiPAP) and Incentive Spirometry (IS) in post CABG patients.

NCT ID: NCT04679363 Recruiting - Neck Pain Clinical Trials

Comparison of Active Release Technique and Post Isometric Relaxation Technique on Pain and Functional Disability in Patient With Mechanical Neck Pain

Start date: September 15, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Neck pain is one of the leading causes of musculoskeletal pain and disability in the world. Despite the prevalence, accompanying disabilities, low quality of life and economic burdens of mechanical neck pain, there is a gap in high quality evidence to effectively guide the conservative treatment of this patient population. Active release technique (ART) is a soft tissue technique that focuses on removal of adhesions that build up in muscle due to overuse. ART can be used as both, as a diagnostic and treatment technique. Limited literature is available on evaluation and treatment of neck pain by Active release technique in contrast to Post isometric release technique. This study fulfills this gap and will provide clinicians with an alternative treatment approach for mechanical neck pain.

NCT ID: NCT04655417 Recruiting - Pain Clinical Trials

is Ultrasound-guided Foam Sclerotherapy a Cost-effective Alternate for Treatment of Varicose Veins?

Start date: February 21, 2020
Phase: Early Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

. It is the aim of this paper is to discuss our experience of foam sclerotherapy for varicose veins atour hospital

NCT ID: NCT04642313 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Focus of Study is on Insomnia Among Diabetic Patients

Comparison of Mg Vs. K Supplementation on Insomnia in Diabetics

Start date: October 26, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Insomnia is increasing alarmingly among the population. Micronutrient fluctuations have been shown to effect insulin secretion, period of circadian cycle and quality of sleep in all ages. This study is aimed to identify the impact of magnesium and potassium supplementation on insomnia severity and duration, and insulin resistance, quality of life, sleep hormones, serum magnesium and potassium levels. Moreover, the study will help to find out the link between insomnia and micronutrients among patients of diabetes mellitus so that the burden of the disease in the society could be reduced.

NCT ID: NCT04636645 Recruiting - Fall Clinical Trials

Effects of Lower Limb Positive Pressure on the Balance of Community-dwelling Older Adults

Start date: November 19, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

With the onset of the sixth decade in life, degenerative processes affect the neuromuscular system in terms of losses in muscle strength (dynapenia) and muscle mass (sarcopenia). Neural (e.g., numerical loss of alpha motoneurons) and morphological factors. Borde et al. 123 number and size of particularly type-II muscle fibers), as well as their interaction, are responsible for age-related declines in muscle strength and mass. There is evidence that muscular weakness is highly associated with impaired mobility and an increased risk for falls. Moreover, lower extremity muscle weakness was identified as the dominant intrinsic fall-risk factor with a five-fold increase in the risk of falling. An anti-gravity treadmill allows users to walk or run in a reduced body weight environment. The user walks or runs on a treadmill belt surrounded by an enclosed, air-filled chamber. When air pressure increases, an upward force offloads the weight of the runner and decreases the percentage of body weight (BW%) experienced upon foot impact. So, a research question was developed in our mind after the literature review. Is there any effect of AGT training on fall risk of older adults?

NCT ID: NCT04620720 Recruiting - Post Operative Pain Clinical Trials

Post Operative Pain in Modified Radical Mastectomy.

Start date: August 1, 2020
Phase: Early Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

we will assess post operative pain after surgery of modified radical mastectomy at 12 and 24 hours post operatively on arm movement and on rest

NCT ID: NCT04568850 Recruiting - Covid19 Clinical Trials

Waxing and Waning of Serum SARS CoV-2-IgG Level in COVID-19 Exposed Population

Start date: July 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study will define the kinetics of IgG responses to both N and S proteins in the subjects who suffered from COVID 19 and then had recovered and those who were previously undiagnosed but were seropositive. These subjects will be followed for four months to evaluate the levels of antibodies in these people.
