NCT ID: NCT05610878 Recruiting - Burn Scar Clinical Trials

Efficacy of Preconditioned Adipose-Derived Stem Cells in Fat Grafting

Start date: November 20, 2020
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to evaluate the comparison of therapeutic potential of curcumin preconditioned adipose derived stem cells (ASCs) enrichment fat grafting, naïve ASCs enrichment fat grafting and conventional fat grafting to correct facial contour deformities that cause aesthetic complications in patients.

NCT ID: NCT05610865 Recruiting - Diabetes Mellitus Clinical Trials

Efficacy of Adipose Tissue Derived Stem Cells for the Treatment of Diabetic Foot Ulcers

Start date: November 20, 2020
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of uncultured adipose derived stromal vascular fraction (SVF) and cultured adipose derived stem cells (ASCs) both supplemented with platelet rich plasma (PRP) to treat chronic diabetic foot ulcers. It will increase the pragmatic potential of both types of cells as PRP is rich in survival and chemotactic factors. Moreover, the autologous nature of the proposed study will ensure safety of its use in diabetic patients and will unveil the more effective therapeutic option for treatment of foot ulcer wounds.

NCT ID: NCT05606354 Recruiting - Knee Osteoarthritis Clinical Trials

Taping Versus Conventional Physiotherapy in Knee Osteoarthritis

Start date: October 7, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of kinesio taping versus conventional physiotherapy in women with knee osteoarthritis.

NCT ID: NCT05591872 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Radial Artery Occlusion

Low Dose Heparin Factorial Trial

Start date: May 9, 2022
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

An open label 2x2 factorial randomized trial is planned to determine the difference in mean hemostasis time between low dose heparin (LD) i.e between 2000-3000 IU and standard dose heparin (SD) i.e. 5000 IU with or without catecholamine chitosan-based pad (InnoSEAL hemostatic pad, InnoTherapy, Inc. S Korea) used in conjunction with TRB (InnoSEAL+TRB [I+TRB]) among patients who are undergoing left heart cath at Tabba Heart Institute. Secondary objectives include testing the difference in radial artery occlusion (RAO), and hematoma (III, IV grade) and composite outcome (RAO+hematoma).

NCT ID: NCT05590520 Recruiting - Fissure in Ano Clinical Trials

Comparison of Injections of Botulinum Toxin and Topical Nitroglycerin Ointment for the Treatment of Chronic Anal Fissure

Start date: November 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Patients will be randomized to receive treatment with either a total of 20 U of botulinum toxin(diluted in saline to a concentration of 50 U per milliliter.

NCT ID: NCT05590260 Recruiting - Postpartum Anemia Clinical Trials

Prevention of Iron Deficiency Anemia Post-delivery

PRIORITY
Start date: May 30, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

PRIORITY is designed as a 2-arm, randomized-controlled trial focused on postpartum women. The trial will recruit women who are diagnosed with moderate anemia based on a blood sample taken 6-48 hours after childbirth. A total of 4,800 eligible women, or 600 women per research site, will be consented and enrolled in the trial. The study hypothesizes that at 6 weeks post-delivery, prevalence of the non-anemic state in women in that received a single-dose IV iron infusion between 6 and 48 hours after delivery and prior to discharge from the facility will be greater than that of women given a supply of oral iron tablets taken twice daily for 6 weeks.

NCT ID: NCT05587413 Recruiting - Patient Compliance Clinical Trials

Effectiveness of Periodontal Treatment for the Glycemic Conttrol of Type II Diabetes Mellitus

Start date: November 2, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The project is intended to find out the effect of Periodontal treatment for the glycemic control of type II diabetes mellitus patients.

NCT ID: NCT05586529 Recruiting - Hypocalcemia Clinical Trials

Effect of Preoperative High-dose Cholecalciferol in Prevention of Post-thyroidectomy Hypocalcaemia

Start date: November 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Hypocalcaemia after thyroidectomy is observed with increasing frequency, often resulting in prolonged hospital stay with increased use of resources, delayed return to work and reduced quality of life. The administration of vitamin D is essential in the therapy of postoperative hypocalcaemia. What has not been examined so far is whether and how routine preoperative cholecalciferol prophylaxis can help to prevent postoperative hypocalcaemia

NCT ID: NCT05577949 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Effect of Aerobics on Physical and Mental Health in Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Start date: September 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Polycystic ovary is one of the most common metabolic and endocrine disorders in women of reproductive age group. The Rotterdam criteria are used internationally for its diagnosis. It has been reported that 57% of these women have at least one mental disorder. There is no health without mental health and it is fundamental to the good health and well-being of an individual. Women with PCOS are at risk of a wide range of significant psychological difficulties including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, sexual disorders, low self-esteem, poor body image, and overall low quality of life. In the healthy population, exercise plays a pivotal role in the optimization of mental health, but there is little evidence available to demonstrate its effects on women with PCOS. So, this study has been designed to study the effects of structured aerobics exercise programs on the mental and physical health of women with PCOS.

NCT ID: NCT05577013 Recruiting - Stroke Clinical Trials

Kinesio Taping Versus Motor Relearning Program for Upper Limb

Start date: October 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Stroke is described as rapidly developing clinical findings of localized or generalized impairment to cerebral function, with symptoms lasting 24 hours or longer, or leading to death, with no evident cause other than a vascular origin. Stroke is a prevalent and debilitating illness that affects people all around the world. Stroke is the second or third largest cause of mortality in adults, as well as one of the primary causes of adult disability. Because the majority of stroke patients survive the initial illness, the long-term impacts on patients and their families have the greatest influence on health. Kinesiotaping is a revolutionary rehabilitation procedure. It's most typically used to treat sports injuries, however, it is progressively becoming effective in overcoming other abnormalities. Kinesio Tex tape brand is a flexible, thin, porous cotton fabric with an adhesive backing manufactured by Dr. Kenzo Kase. It provides cutaneous stimulation which facilitates or limit movement, aids in the reduction of edema, reduces pain and correct joint positions for easing muscle spasms.
