NCT ID: NCT00660439 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder

Treatment Effects of Narrative Exposure Therapy

Start date: May 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study compares Narrative Exposure Therapy with a Waiting list control group, both consists of traumatized patients with diagnosed Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. The main aim is to investigate if the patients psychiatric symptoms and levels of the stress hormone cortisol will improve more after Narrative Exposure Therapy than the Waiting list (i.e. no intervention).

NCT ID: NCT00660179 Completed - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

Study of Macitentan (ACT-064992) on Morbidity and Mortality in Patients With Symptomatic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

SERAPHIN
Start date: May 2008
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The AC-055-302/SERAPHIN study will be an event-driven Phase III study, comparing two different doses of macitentan (ACT-064992) (3 and 10 mg) vs placebo in patients with symptomatic PAH. The main study objective is to demonstrate that macitentan (ACT-064992) prolongs time to the first morbidity or mortality event, and to evaluate the benefit/risk profile of macitentan (ACT-064992) in the treatment of patients with symptomatic PAH.

NCT ID: NCT00658853 Completed - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Disease, Chronic Obstructive

Effective High Aerobic Intensity Endurance Training Regimes in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Patients

Start date: January 2004
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

4 times 4 minutes interval training with and without hyperoxia is more effective than low intensity endurance training.

NCT ID: NCT00658359 Completed - Clinical trials for Kidney Transplantation

Extension Study Of Subjects From Study A3921030 For The Prevention Of Acute Rejection In Kidney Transplant Patients

Start date: August 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a study that will follow transplant patients from Study A3921030 to monitor for long term safety, tolerability and efficacy for 5 additional years, except in Portugal where the study will follow transplant patients through Month 36 posttransplant. Patients will continue their study medications that were previously assigned.

NCT ID: NCT00658229 Completed - Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials

The Physical Exercise and Prostate Cancer Study

PEPC
Start date: November 2008
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of a four months strength training program on physical and psychological health in patients with prostate cancer during androgen deprivation therapy. It is hypothesized a beneficial effect of the intervention on physical and psychological health in patients with prostate cancer treated with androgen deprivation.

NCT ID: NCT00657150 Completed - Clinical trials for Venous Thromboembolism

Dabigatran Etexilate Compared With Enoxaparin in Prevention of Venous Thromboembolism (VTE) Following Total Hip Arthroplasty

Start date: March 2008
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of the trial is to demonstrate non-inferiority of 220 mg oral dabigatran etexilate compared to 40 mg subcutaneous enoxaparin administered once daily. Safety and efficacy will be compared between the treatment groups.

NCT ID: NCT00655252 No longer available - Clinical trials for Metastatic Renal Cell Cancer

Expanded Access Study of RAD001 in Metastatic Renal Cell Cancer Patients Who Are Intolerant of or Who Have Failed Despite Prior Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Therapy

Start date: n/a
Phase: N/A
Study type: Expanded Access

This expanded access study is designed to provide RAD001 to patients with MRCC who are without satisfactory treatment alternatives, until RAD001 becomes commercially available.

NCT ID: NCT00653848 Active, not recruiting - Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials

Adjuvant Treatment of Prostate Cancer With Docetaxel or Not After Radical Radiotherapy

AdRad
Start date: May 2007
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

As docetaxel is proven to be effective in late stages of prostate cancer with a large tumour burden it should be effective in primarily treated intermediate and high risk prostate cancer as an adjuvant treatment after radiotherapy to prevent early relapse. This will therefore be tested in a randomised phase III trial where patients will be randomized either to docetaxel or surveillance

NCT ID: NCT00653107 Terminated - Esophageal Neoplasm Clinical Trials

Palliation Dysphagia Cancer Oesophagus Stent+Brachytherapy Versus Brachytherapy Only

PACO
Start date: June 2008
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

We wish to improve the swallowing function of patients with advanced cancer of the oesophagus, by carrying out a randomised clinical study in which we compare primary stenting followed by brachytherapy in the stent, 8 G x 3 with standard brachytherapy 8 Gy x 3. The aim of the study is to investigate whether patients who receive a stent followed by brachytherapy have a better swallowing function without more pain at week +2,compared to patients who receive brachytherapy alone.
