In this clinical trial, patients with gastric and gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma will be included. Treatment with curative intent will be given with chemotherapy for 4 cycles with fluorouracil, oxaliplatin and irinotecan preoperatively followed by surgery, and then additionally 4 cycles of the same chemotherapy postoperatively. The standard treatment today is preoperative treatment with fluorouracil and oxaliplatin pre-and postoperatively. The rationale for this trial is, that the addition of irinotecan might improve treatments results.

Prevention of Cardiac Dysfunction During Breast Cancer Therapy

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women. The modern post-surgery treatment with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation and hormone therapy has improved the overall 5-years survival drastically. However, an unwanted effect of the post-surgery treatment is its potentially deleterious effect on the heart resulting in cardiac dysfunction. Angiotensin antagonists are used as part of the heart failure treatment. In smaller studies angiotensin antagonists have shown to have a cardioprotective effect during breast cancer treatment. Sacubitril/valsartan is a potent drug that in addition to an angiotensin antagonist contains a neprilysin inhibitor. Sacubitril/valsartan has proved to be superior to enalapril in chronic heart failure. In this randomized placebo controlled double blind trial we hypothesize that sacubitril/valsartan used concomitantly during anthracycline containing chemotherapy for breast cancer treatment prevents cardiac dysfunction as measured by cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR). PRADA II is a Norwegian multicenter trial intending to recruit 214 patients and follow them for 18 months with CMR, cardiac ultrasound, blood samples, functional capacity tests and health related quality of life questionnaires.

Study of Radspherin® in Recurrent Ovarian Cancer Subjects With Peritoneal Carcinomatosis

RAD-18-001 is a First-In-Man, Dose Escalation study conducted at 2 sites. The dose escalation will be performed based on a 3 + 3 design. Increasing dose levels starting at 1 MBq will be followed by 2, 4 and 7 MBq. If the highest dose level of 7 MBq is reached without Dose Limiting Toxicicities (which will stop the dose escalation), this will be the recommended dose for further exploration. Each subject will be followed until disease progression (in the abdominal cavity), or for 24 months after the administration of Radspherin® (whichever comes first). In the expansion cohort the subject will receive the recommended dose. The expansion cohort will be conducted at 4 sites. Cardiovascular Remodeling in Living Kidney Donors With Reduced Glomerular Filtration Rate

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is highly frequent, and patients with advanced CKD are known to have a high risk of developing cardiovascular disease (CVD). However, little is known about the cardiovascular risk in patients with mildly reduced kidney function (reduced glomerular filtration rate, GFR), affecting up to 10% of the general population; and importantly, also affecting living kidney donors. Until recently it has been believed that donating a kidney does not represent any health hazard. However, a recent Norwegian epidemiological study suggested that kidney donors have an increased risk of CVD. The pathogenesis linking reduced kidney function to CVD is not known. Living kidney donors provide a unique model for investigating the mechanisms underlying increased risk of CVD in patients with reduced GFR because living kidney donors are healthy before donation. Thus, the main purpose of the Project is to investigate the mekanismes underlying the development of cardiovascular remodelling induced by a reduction in GFR.

A Study to Evaluate the Safety and Efficacy of Upadacitinib in Participants With Giant Cell Arteritis

This study consists of two periods. The objective of Period 1 is to evaluate the efficacy of upadacitinib in combination with a 26-week corticosteroid (CS) taper regimen compared to placebo in combination with a 52-week CS taper regimen, as measured by the proportion of participants in sustained remission at Week 52, and to assess the safety and tolerability of upadacitinib in participants with giant cell arteritis (GCA). The objective of period 2 is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of continuing versus withdrawing upadacitinib in maintaining remission in participants who achieved sustained remission in Period 1.
