NCT ID: NCT02337348 Terminated - Clinical trials for Myocardial Infarction

Prospective Randomized Optical Coherence Tomography Oslo tRial

PROCTOR
Start date: August 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Coronary artery intervention with stents is a routine procedure with several clinical indications. A stentfailure, ie stentrestenosis and/or stentthrombosis will occur in some patients. Several different mechanisms have been suggested. Stentfailure may be caused by mechanical properties of the stent. This may be secondary to suboptimal stentimplantation, ie over/undersizing or acquired ie malapposition or stentfracture. These stentproperties may be difficult to identify with conventional coronary angiography due to low image resolution. The hypothesis of the study is that high resolution imaging with optical coherence tomography (oct) will improve diagnosis and enable a more specific or tailored treatment with a subsequent reduction in later stentfailure.

NCT ID: NCT02335944 Terminated - Clinical trials for Non Small Cell Lung Cancer

Study of Safety and Efficacy of EGFR-TKI EGF816 in Combination With cMET Inhibitor INC280 in Adult Patients With EGFR Mutated Non Small Cell Lung Cancer.

Start date: January 13, 2015
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study was to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) / recommended phase 2 dose (RP2D) of nazartinib (EGF816) in combination with capmatinib (INC280) and to estimate the preliminary anti-tumor activity of nazartinib in combination with capmatinib in participants with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with documented EGFR mutation.

NCT ID: NCT02335723 Terminated - Septic Shock Clinical Trials

ASSET - a Double-Blind, Randomized Placebo-Controlled Clinical Investigation With Alteco® LPS Adsorber

ASSET
Start date: September 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this clinical investigation is to investigate the feasibility and possible benefits of the Alteco® LPS Adsorber in treating patients with septic shock with presumed endotoxemia of abdominal or urogenital origin.

NCT ID: NCT02301000 Terminated - Clinical trials for Clostridium Difficile Infection

IMT for Primary Clostridium Difficile Infection

Start date: February 22, 2015
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a randomized controlled trial to compare the effect of a 10-day course of per oral metronidazole versus a one-time rectal instillation of an anaerobically cultivated human intestinal microbiota for the treatment of a first occurrence of Clostridium difficile infection (CDI). Recurrent CDI is common after standard antibiotic treatment. We hypothesize that the instillation of a healthy intestinal microbiota will be more effective in inducing a durable cure than metronidazole for primary CDI.

NCT ID: NCT02295943 Terminated - Macular Hole Clinical Trials

Objective Evaluation of Postoperative Positioning in Macular Hole Surgery

Start date: November 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The macular hole formation takes place in the centre of the retina. A closure of the macular hole is believed to take place if the central retinal area is kept dry in the postoperative period. Therefore the eye is filled with a gas mix and the patients are urged to avoid the supine position in the first postoperative days. The investigators have developed a positioning measuring device which can measure the extent of supine positioning time. Patients are to carry the positioning measuring device during the first postoperative 24 hours. Hereby the investigators search new knowledge concerning patients compliance and its relation to macular hole closure.

NCT ID: NCT02278900 Terminated - Communication Clinical Trials

Supporting Doctor-patient Communication in Oncology

Start date: April 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Aims of study While various communication aids have been evaluated separately, no studies have taken a coordinated approach combining aids with different goals to evaluate their combined impact. In this study the investigators will use two communication aids; a QPL and an audio recording of the consultation. QPLs includes question concerning treatment options, but few studies involving QPLs have explored whether QPLs result in patients taking a more active role in the consultation. To our knowledge there have not been studies which objectively try to explore whether patients receiving QPLs participates in shared decision making to a greater extent, except for one ongoing Italian trial of breast cancer patients. To explore and describe how communication aids as a QPL and an audio recording of the consultation improve the first doctor-patient consultation at the oncology outpatient clinic by 1. Encouraging patients/caregivers to ask more questions, particularly about sensitive topics such as prognosis (as an effect of QPL alone) 2. Increasing shared decision-making (as an effect of QPL alone) 3. Improving overall satisfaction with the consultation and information retrieved (as an effect of both communication aids) 4. Affecting quality of life/anxiety/depression (as an effect of both communication aids)

NCT ID: NCT02258464 Terminated - Breast Neoplasms Clinical Trials

Study of Radium-223 Dichloride Versus Placebo and Hormonal Treatment as Background Therapy in Subjects With Bone Predominant HER2 (Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2) Negative Hormone Receptor Positive Metastatic Breast Cancer

Start date: March 2, 2015
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The objective of this study was to assess efficacy and safety of radium-223 dichloride in subjects with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 negative (HER2 negative) hormone receptor positive breast cancer with bone metastases treated with hormonal treatment background therapy

NCT ID: NCT02237833 Terminated - Septic Shock Clinical Trials

Cerebral Oxygenation in Septic Patients Using Vasopressors - the Conscious Study

CONSCIOUS
Start date: February 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to reveal if higher doses of vasopressors in septic shock patients correlates with cerebral vasoconstriction and lower cerebral oximetry.

NCT ID: NCT02228382 Terminated - Clinical trials for Previously Treated PH + CML

Safety And Efficacy Study Of Bosutinib In Patients With Philadelphia Chromosome Positive Chronic Myeloid Leukemia Previously Treated With One Or More Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors

Start date: November 7, 2014
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to fulfill the post-authorization commitment made by Pfizer to the European Medicines Agency in providing additional safety and efficacy data in approximately 150 Philadelphia Chromosome Positive Chronic Myeloid Leukemia patients with high unmet medical need, including 75 Chronic Phase, Accelerated Phase or Blast Phase patients in the fourth or later line treatment setting (i.e., after treatment with at least 3 other Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors).

NCT ID: NCT02197936 Terminated - Infertility Clinical Trials

Norwegian Adenomyosis Study III: Peristalsis

NAPPEDIII
Start date: July 2014
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Spontaneous contractions (peristalsis) of the non-pregnant uterus is widely investigated and the role of correct peristalsis is most important for correct sperm transport towards the fallopian tubes and implantation of the embryo, thus obtaining pregnancy. At the same time, an impaired uterine peristalsis is discussed to be the reason for lower pregnancy rates and may also account for heavy menstrual bleedings and menstrual pain. In this study, the uterine peristalsis of women with adenomyosis will be investigated. This condition is associated to heavy menstrual bleeding, menstrual pain and infertility.
