There are about 5012 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Mexico. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The following is an open label, non comparative, pilot study of palliative treatment as a second, third line or more of treatment in patients with recurrent, persistent or Metastatic Cervical Cancer; it has a limited sample of 15 patients with the primary goal of evaluating the response (defined as: Complete, partial or stable disease) to treatment with a Monoclonal Antibody, Nimotuzumab, on a weekly basis + CDDP 50mg/m2/BSA as a single agent every 3 weeks for patients with good renal function (Creatinine clearance => 60) or Gemcitabine 800 mg/m2/BSA in patients with renal failure (Creatinine clearance <60). Secondary objectives consist of evaluating disease-free survival, overall survival and assess patient tolerance to treatment with Nimotuzumab.
Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) type II (MPS II; Hunter syndrome) is a rare, X-linked disease caused by a deficiency of the lysosomal enzyme iduronate-2-sulfatase (I2S) and occurs almost exclusively in boys, with an incidence of approximately 1.3 per 100,000 live male births.1 Early identification of MPS II is challenging because some initial features, such as chronic runny nose, otitis media, and hernias, are commonly seen in the general population. As a result, even though the signs and symptoms of MPS II typically appear early in childhood, the diagnosis may lag behind by several years. The primary objective of this international multi-center study is to evaluate the positive screening rate of MPS II subjects by screening a high-risk male pediatric population who have had or are scheduled for 1 or more specific ENT surgical procedures (adenoidectomy and/or tonsillectomy and/or tympanostomy) and who have a previously repaired or present evidence of an inguinal and/or umbilical hernia.
The aim of the study was to assess the effect of an individualized intervention based on cell phones to improve glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes attending Epidemiology Research Unit in Cuernavaca, Morelos. Mexico
This study will assess the long-term safety and efficacy of repeating treatment with MabThera, in combination with methotrexate and steroids, in patients who were previously randomized into studies WA16291 or WA17043. The anticipated time on study treatment is until Mabthera is available on the local market and the target sample size is 100-500 individuals.
This post-marketing study is designed to compare the safety of tofacitinib versus TNF inhibitor with respect to major cardiovascular adverse events and malignancies, excluding non-melanoma skin cancers when given to subjects with rheumatoid arthritis. Other safety events, including non-melanoma skin cancers, hepatic events, infections, and efficacy parameters will be collected and evaluated in the study.
The purpose is to investigate the Efficacy and Safety of Symbicort pMDI 80/2.25 μg and Symbicort pMDI 80/4.5 μg, Compared with Budesonide pMDI 80 μg, 2 Actuations Twice Daily, in Children Ages 6 to <12 Years with Asthma during 12 weeks.
The main purpose of the trial is to determine the effect of a study drug known as LY2409021 on blood pressure and pulse rate in participants with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) when compared to placebo. The study has two periods. Each participant will receive LY2409021 or placebo in each period. At least 4 weeks will pass between periods. The study will last about 23 weeks for each participant. Participants may remain on stable dose metformin, as prescribed by their personal physician.
The Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) is a Retina's pathology only of the premature baby, it's characterized for proliferation of vascular tissue that grow in the limit between the vascular retina and the avascular retina. The altered regulation of Vascular Endothelial Grow Factor (VEGF) has been proposed as one of the principal factor in the pathogenesis of the ROP. The ROP is classified for: location (zones I,II,III), extension (hours 1 to 12) and for stages (1,2,3,4a,4b,5) and features of the vessels (normal, pre-plus and plus). With the diagnosis of ROP type 1(ROP zone I any stage with plus, zone I stage 3 without plus, zone II stage 2 y 3 with plus) the treatment is begun and ROP type 2 is maintained in observation. The altered regulation of Vascular Endothelial Grow Factor (VEGF) has been proposed as one of the principal factors in the pathogenesis of ROP.
The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of vitamin D supplementation in patients with heart failure and vitamin D deficiency on ventricular function, inflammatory cytokines, brain natriuretic peptide, lipid profile, glucose, serum insulin, serum parathyroid hormone and calcium.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the analgesic efficacy of multiple doses of Dexketoprofen Trometamol 25 mg on postoperative pain following emergency endodontic treatment in teeth with irreversible pulpitis, using as control Ibuprofen 600 mg and a placebo group. Hypothesis: Dexketoprofen trometamol when administered in multiple doses produces a greater effect to control postoperative pain after treating symptomatic irreversible pulpitis; in patients undergoing pulpotomy as an emergency procedure
