There are about 5012 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Mexico. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study was to characterize the safety and tolerability of long-term administration of evolocumab in adults with known coronary artery disease and hypercholesterolemia.
The purpose of Phase 1b of this study is to: - Asses the safety, tolerability and activity of carfilzomib, alone and in combination with induction chemotherapy, in children with relapsed or refractory acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). - Determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and to recommend a phase 2 dose of carfilzomib in combination with induction chemotherapy. The purpose of Phase 2 of this study is to compare the rate of complete remission (CR) of carfilzomib in combination with vincristine, dexamethasone, PEG asparaginase, daunorubicin (VXLD) at the end of induction therapy to an appropriate external control.
The purpose of the study was to assess the use of Multikinase Inhibitors (MKIs) in the treatment of patients with a progressive differentiated thyroid carcinoma (DTC) refractory to radioactive iodine (RAI) who do not have any symptoms.
This study is a randomized, double-blind, double-dummy, parallel group, multicenter, non-inferiority study. The study will enroll adult and adolescent asthmatic subjects who are currently receiving mid dose inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) plus long-acting beta2-agonist (LABA) (equivalent to fluticasone propionate [FP]/salmeterol 250/50 microgram [mcg]twice daily [BD]), either via a fixed dose combination product or through separate inhalers. The study consists of a LABA washout period of 5 days and a run-in period of 4 weeks, followed by a treatment period of 24 weeks, and a follow up contact period of one week. The total duration of the study is 30 weeks. Approximately 1461 subjects will be randomized to one of the following three treatments (487 per treatment): fluticasone furoate (FF)/vilanterol (VI) 100/25 mcg once daily (OD) in the evening (PM) via ELLIPTA™ inhaler plus placebo BD via ACCUHALER™/DISKUS™; FP/salmeterol 250/50 mcg BD via ACCUHALER/DISKUS inhaler plus placebo OD (PM) via ELLIPTA inhaler; FP 250 mcg BD via ACCUHALER/DISKUS inhaler plus placebo OD (PM) via ELLIPTA inhaler. In addition, all subjects will be supplied with albuterol/salbutamol inhalation aerosol to use as needed to treat acute asthma symptoms. This study will determine if FF/VI 100/25 mcg OD via ELLIPTA inhaler is non-inferior to FP/salmeterol 250/50 mcg BD via ACCUHALER/DISKUS inhaler in adult and adolescent asthmatic subjects already adequately controlled on a twice-daily ICS/LABA. SERETIDE, ELLIPTA, ACCUHALER, RELVAR, and DISKUS are trademarks of the GlaxoSmithKline Group of Companies.
The recent development of therapies targeting specific biomarkers mutations is changing the standards of care and prognosis of patients with advanced NSCLC, but very few data are currently available on those emerging biomarkers. In addition, the correlation of biomarkers with patients' clinical outcomes in a standard of care setting is poorly understood. This study aims to address that need.
Comparative Study to Evaluate the Cosmetic Appearance of Two Brands (Coopervision (CVI) vs. Competitor)of Color Soft Contact Lenses
The overall objective is to assess the effect of once daily tiotropium + olodaterol fixed dose combination compared to 5 µg tiotropium (both delivered with the Respimat® inhaler) on moderate to severe COPD exacerbation in patients with severe to very severe COPD.
Objective. To evaluate the effect of the intake of two types of whole corn tortilla and one traditional tortilla on glycemic index (GI) and insulinemic index (InIn) in adults with diabetes, or overweight or clinically healthy. Material and methods. Type crossover clinical trial in adults 20-69 years. Three groups of participants will be included for each category (n = 27 in each group): 1) adults with diabetes, b) adults with overweight c) clinically healthy adults. The glycemic and insulinemic index will be measure for each group of participants given in random order the following foods: 1) a whole corn tortilla (white "criollo" corn= 5.3% fiber), 2) a whole corn tortilla (white "hybrid" corn= 7.9%), 3) a traditional corn tortilla (3.9% fiber), and 4) white bread (reference food containing 2.2% of fiber). For the calculation of GI and InIn will be follow the "FAO" methodology. For the evaluation of each food left the range of 1 week.
This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study that will investigate the safety and clinical activity of a single intravenous (IV) dose of MHAA4549A in adult participants hospitalized with severe influenza A in combination with oseltamivir versus a comparator arm of placebo with oseltamivir.
The primary objective of this study is to assess the safety and outcomes of infants and children who were exposed to retosiban or comparator in utero in the Phase III spontaneous preterm labor (SPTL) treatment studies, to provide assurance that treatment is not associated with significant adverse outcomes in early childhood. The enrolled infants and children will be followed at pre-specified intervals until they reach 24 months chronological age. This study does not require medical interventions or study visits to an investigational site, instead, parents or legal guardians will be prompted at certain time points to complete developmental questionnaires and other data on their children's health status via an electronic device. Data collected during the infant and child follow up study will be managed by a centralized research coordinating center (RCC). Regionally based pediatricians will serve as study principal investigators (referred to as RCC-PIs) for this study. All communications the RCC-PI has with the parent/legal guardian or the child's health care provider (HCP) will occur remotely; there will be no clinic visits.
