There are about 682 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Lebanon. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This prospective, observational study will evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of RoActemra/Actemra (tocilizumab) in patients with moderate to severe active rheumatoid arthritis who have had an inadequate response or are intolerant to one or more conventional disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs. Data will be collected from patients initiated on RoActemra/Actemra treatment according to the local label at baseline, Weeks 4, 12 and 24, and at 3 and 6 months after the last dose of study drug.
To evaluate vildagliptin as compared to gliclazide, given in combination with metformin in Muslim patients with type 2 diabetes fasting during Ramadan.
The purpose of the study is to document long-term response in real-life practice after injection cycles with BoNT-A in subjects suffering from idiopathic cervical dystonia (Long-term clinical and pharmaco-economic data).
The study is designed to evaluate the safety, tolerability and efficacy of two doses of pregabalin as add-on treatment in pediatric and adult subjects with Primary Generalized Tonic-Clonic (PGTC) seizures as compared to placebo. It is hypothesized that both doses of pregabalin will demonstrated superior efficacy when compared to placebo by reducing PGTC seizure frequency and that pregabalin will be safe and well tolerated.
Endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial fine needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) techniques have not been well studied. The investigators will conduct a randomized study comparing the diagnostic yield and specimen quality of EBUS-FNA performed with and without suction applied.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether MST-188 can reduce the duration of vaso-occlusive crisis (VOC) in subjects with sickle cell disease. The study will also evaluate whether MST-188 can reduce the frequency of rehospitalization of subjects due to a recurrence of VOC. Additionally, this study will compare the development of acute chest syndrome during VOC in subjects who receive MST-188 to those who do not receive MST-188.
This study will investigate the efficacy and safety of two doses (high and low) of empagliflozin in combination with metformin (500 mg and 1000 mg) administered twice daily in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Study will compare four dose combinations of empagliflozin + metformin versus each individual component after 24 weeks of treatment.
Assessed the efficacy of deferasirox in patients with non-transfusion dependent thalassemia based on change in liver iron concentration from baseline after 52 weeks of treatment. Provided further assessment of the long-term efficacy and safety of deferasirox in NTDT patients with iron overload (LIC ≥ 5 mg Fe/g liver dw and SF ≥ 300 ng/mL) for up to 260 weeks.
Primary Objective: -To demonstrate the efficacy of a fixed combination of glimepiride + metformin in terms of HbA1c reduction, during 24-week treatment period in patients with inadequately controlled type 2 diabetes mellitus. Secondary Objective: To assess the effects of the fixed combination of glimepiride and metformin at week 24 on: - Percentage of patients reaching HbA1c <7% - Percentage of patients reaching HbA1c <6.5%. - Fasting Plasma Glucose (FPG) - Safety and tolerability
This study is conducted in Europe. The aim of the study is to gather information about hypoglycaemia (low blood glucose) among patients with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes mellitus. The study is both retrospective and prospective.
