NCT ID: NCT01753349 Completed - Cervical Dystonia Clinical Trials

Phase IV-Cervical Dystonia-INTEREST IN CD2

INTEREST_INCD2
Start date: December 2012
Phase:
Study type: Observational

NCT ID: NCT01747915 Completed - Clinical trials for Generalized Tonic Clonic Seizures

A Safety, Efficacy and Tolerability Trial of Pregabalin as Add-On Treatment in Pediatric and Adult Subjects With Primary Generalized Tonic-Clonic (i.e., Grand Mal) Seizures.

Start date: April 3, 2013
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The study is designed to evaluate the safety, tolerability and efficacy of two doses of pregabalin as add-on treatment in pediatric and adult subjects with Primary Generalized Tonic-Clonic (PGTC) seizures as compared to placebo. It is hypothesized that both doses of pregabalin will demonstrated superior efficacy when compared to placebo by reducing PGTC seizure frequency and that pregabalin will be safe and well tolerated.

NCT ID: NCT01741571 Completed - Lung Cancer Clinical Trials

Trial of Endobronchial Ultrasound Guided Fine Needle Aspiration Techniques

Start date: December 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial fine needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) techniques have not been well studied. The investigators will conduct a randomized study comparing the diagnostic yield and specimen quality of EBUS-FNA performed with and without suction applied.

NCT ID: NCT01737814 Completed - Sickle Cell Disease Clinical Trials

Evaluation of Purified Poloxamer 188 in Vaso-Occlusive Crisis of Sickle Cell Disease (EPIC)

EPIC
Start date: May 2013
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether MST-188 can reduce the duration of vaso-occlusive crisis (VOC) in subjects with sickle cell disease. The study will also evaluate whether MST-188 can reduce the frequency of rehospitalization of subjects due to a recurrence of VOC. Additionally, this study will compare the development of acute chest syndrome during VOC in subjects who receive MST-188 to those who do not receive MST-188.

NCT ID: NCT01719003 Completed - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2

Safety and Efficacy Study of Empagliflozin and Metformin for 24 Weeks in Treatment Naive Patients With Type 2 Diabetes

Start date: October 2012
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study will investigate the efficacy and safety of two doses (high and low) of empagliflozin in combination with metformin (500 mg and 1000 mg) administered twice daily in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Study will compare four dose combinations of empagliflozin + metformin versus each individual component after 24 weeks of treatment.

NCT ID: NCT01709838 Completed - Clinical trials for Non-transfusion Dependent Thalassemia

Efficacy and Safety Study of Deferasirox in Patients With Non-transfusion Dependent Thalassemia

THETIS
Start date: December 6, 2012
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Assessed the efficacy of deferasirox in patients with non-transfusion dependent thalassemia based on change in liver iron concentration from baseline after 52 weeks of treatment. Provided further assessment of the long-term efficacy and safety of deferasirox in NTDT patients with iron overload (LIC ≥ 5 mg Fe/g liver dw and SF ≥ 300 ng/mL) for up to 260 weeks.
