There are about 21062 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Italy. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
To evaluate long-term BOS-free survival outcomes of the OCS™ Lung INSPIRE Trial patients.
The Ablation of the typical atrial flutter can be considered substantially anatomical, the investigators want to test a protocol that foresees the use a lesion index (AI) and that respects the Inter-Lesion Distance (ILD) ≤ 6 mm on the cavo-tricuspid isthmus (CTI) The investigators want to prove how the introduction of a lesion index combined with the continuity of lesion can allow a "first pass block" of the CTI decreasing total Radio-Frequency (RF) times
This study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of pembrolizumab (MK-3475) versus placebo as adjuvant therapy in participants with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and complete radiological response after surgical resection or local ablation. The primary hypotheses of this study are that adjuvant pembrolizumab is superior to placebo with respect to: 1) recurrence-free survival (RFS) as assessed by blinded independent central review (BICR); and 2) overall survival (OS).
The University Hospital Essen is sponsoring the Multicenter human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and sexually transmitted infections Prevention Network Study (STIPnet) which is funded by Janssen, Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson. STIPnet study is a prospective observational cohort study aiming to determine the incidence and point prevalence of HIV infection and the most common sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in individuals with sexual risk behavior. In addition, the University Hospital Essen will examine whether individuals at risk for HIV and STI infections would retain in such a study (retention rate) and would be willing to participate in potential HIV and STI prevention trials (willingness to participate).
Rostock International Parkinson's Disease Study - An International, multicenter, epidemiological observational study aiming at identification of LRRK2-positive patients, the recruitment of 25,000 PD participants and the establishment of a candidate biomarker in the LRRK2-positive cohort.
The purpose of this study is to assess safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of M254 after administration of a single ascending dose and repeat doses in healthy volunteers and immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) patients. The pharmacodynamics of the drug will be measured as platelet response in patients with ITP.
This is a randomized pharmacological study evaluating the effects of ivabradine in patients with residual angina after PCI. The role of ivabradine in patients with angina, without systolic dysfunction, is not yet clear. The investigators performed in all patients an echostress to evaluate the effects of therapy with ivabradine after 30 days in terms of exercise tolerance and diastolic function.
This is a non-randomized, open label, phase I/IIa, dose-escalation study, involving a single injection of Temferon, an investigational advanced therapy consisting of autologous CD34+-enriched hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells exposed to transduction with a lentiviral vector driving myeloid specific interferon-alpha2 expression, which will be administered to up to 27 patients affected by GBM who have an unmethylated MGMT promoter. Part A will evaluate the safety and tolerability of 5 escalating doses of Temferon and 3 different conditioning regimens in up to 27 patients, following first line treatment.
Prospective observational cohort study, with 6 months follow up, to identify clinical, instrumental and genetic predictors of functional recovery in hospitalized patients undergoing intensive rehabilitation after stroke. All patients will be evaluated with a standardized protocol. Functional recovery will be assessed at the discharge and after a period of 6 months.
A clinical study to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of adjunctive ganaxolone therapy compared to placebo for the treatment of seizures in female children and young adults with genetically confirmed PCDH19 gene mutation.
