The goal of this clinical trial is to validate the efficacy of a Brain-Computer Interface (BCI)-based intervention for hand motor recovery in subacute cervical spinal cord injured (SCI) patients during rehabilitation. The study will provide evidence for the clinical/neurophysiological efficacy of the BCI intervention as a means to promote cortical sensorimotor plasticity (remote plasticity) and thus maximize recovery of arm functions in subacute cervical SCI. Participants will undergo an extensive clinical, neurophysiological, neuropsychological and neuroimaging assessment before and after a BCI training based on motor Imagery (MI) of hands. The intervention will be delivered with a system that was originally validated for stroke patients and adapted to the aims of this study. Researchers will compare the BCI intervention with an active MI training without BCI support (active comparator).
This study is a multicenter randomized controlled trial comparing two strategies of mean arterial blood pressure management (MAP ≥ 80mmHg vs MAP ≥ 65 mmHg) in high-risk surgical patients undergoing elective laparotomic/laparoscopic surgery.
Anifrolumab Study of Treatment Effectiveness in the Real World (ASTER) study will collect real world data to obtain a good understanding of the (sustained) clinical effect and patient quality of life outcomes among diagnosed SLE patients who initiate anifrolumab treatment. ASTER will generate critical real-world evidence on the benefits of adding anifrolumab to standard of care treatment for SLE in routine clinical practice, to inform physicians, payers and patients.
The goal of this observational study is to collect more clinical information on how safe it is, and how well the NEXUS™ Aortic Arch Stent Graft System works for the treatment of aortic aneurysms, which is a bulg involving the aortic arch in the standard-of-care setting following CE-approval. The main question[s] it aims to answer are: - Early mortality, defined as lesion related death, or any death that occurs within 30 days following the procedure - Safety outcomes throughout the study - Device failure throughout the study - Procedural and hospitalisation information Participants will be treated per institutional standard of care that includes the following: - Medical History, blood tests, ABI, Rutherford Classification, physical examination, CTA, ECG, Echocardiography, and neurological assessment at baseline - Collection of procedural and hospitalisation information - Follow-up information will be collected at discharge, after 30 days, after 6 months and annually through to five years. A treatment centered on the person uses an approach capable of considering all the components of disability, from a physical, psychological and social point of views. Some studies have shown that sexual function is disturbed in subjects with low back pain (LBP) and sexual disability can contribute to a deterioration in quality of life. It has also been shown that, in sexually active patients complaining of LBP, sexuality is a significant mediator of the relationship between pain intensity and depressive symptoms. The Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) includes a specific item to investigate sexual function (item #8). A previous study of ours confirmed the relationship between sexual disability detected by the ODI and the presence of depression, avoidance of activities and rumination (Ferrari et al. 2019 - Digital Object Identifier: 10.1589/jpts.31.360). The discussion on sexual disability among patients and healthcare professionals is very limited, although patients require more involvement from clinicians, especially physiotherapists, as evidenced by our previous qualitative study (Ferrari et al. 2020 - Digital Object Identifier: 10.1080/09638288.2020 .1817161). Although studies on this topic have highlighted the importance of this disability in the life of subjects complaining of LBP, little has been investigated on clinical behaviors of the physiotherapists in this area.
This study will be done to see if ziltivekimab can be used to treat people living with heart failure and inflammation. Participants will either get ziltivekimab or placebo. Participants will get study medicine for once-monthly injections either in a pre-filled syringe to inject the study medicine into a skinfold or a pen-injector to inject the study medicine into flat skin. The study is expected to last for up to 4 years. Participants will have up to 20 clinic visits. Participants will have to use a study app on their phone to record and share information about all their injections of study medicine and to fill in questionnaires.
The goal of this observational study is to learn about the changing over the time of transseptal (TSP) catheterization for catheter ablation of arrhythmias in the left heart. This study aims to investigate if auxiliary tools for TSP catheterization improved the safety and efficacy.
The purpose of this study is to assess the antitumor activity, safety, and tolerability of tislelizumab plus investigational agent(s) with or without chemotherapy. This study is structured as a master protocol with separate sub- studies. Sub-study 1 includes participants with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with high programmed cell death protein ligand-1 (PD-L1) expression (≥ 50%), and Sub-study 2 includes participants with NSCLC with low or negative (PD-L1) expression (< 50%).
The purpose of this study is to compare the accuracy of robotic-assisted percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) using the CorPath GRX® System, versus standard PCI when treating ostial lesions. CorPath GRX System (the Device) is a robotic-like device that is cleared for the remote delivery and control of heart catheterization devices. It helps doctors insert and move heart catheters (a thin, flexible tube) and similar types of devices inside patients blood vessels to treat the blockage in their heart. The results will help to evaluate whether procedures using the CorPath GRX result in more accurate stenting (placing of a tube to keep heart vessel open) compared to standard PCI.
This Phase II, global, single-arm study is designed to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetics of giredestrant monotherapy in participants with Grade 1 endometrioid endometrial cancer.
