There are about 5618 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in India. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
A five-year prospective observational cohort study. The study is focused on observing the relation between static germline variants and therapeutic response in Indian children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). The project is an International multicenter setup. This collaborative research project between Switzerland and India includes one main center in Geneva that has conceptualized, designed, received grants for the study and two investigating centers in India (Puducherry and New-Delhi) involved in study design, patient care and recruitment for this specific study. All the participants for the study will be recruited form these two centers in India, and no patient recruitment is planned at main center i.e. Geneva. The study will be conducted in two phases. The first aims to investigate genetic predisposition (static germline variants) to early chemotherapy treatment related toxicities (TRTs). The second aims to investigate somatic genetic markers associated with the efficacy of steroid treatment among patients undergoing the standardized IciCLe-ALL-14 treatment protocol. A total of 500 children with ALL will be recruited to investigate primary objective of the study i.e. TRT, and a subset of 250 patients will be included to investigate another research question i.e. response to steroid therapy.
This is a multicenter, randomized, placebo controlled study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of ABX464 given at 25 or 50 mg QD in inducing clinical remission in subjects with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis who have inadequate response, no response, a loss of response, or an intolerance to either conventional therapies [corticosteroids, immunosuppressant (i.e. azathioprine, 6-mercaptopurine, methotrexate)] and/or advanced therapies [biologics (TNF inhibitors, anti-integrins, anti-IL-23), and/or S1P receptor modulators, and/or JAK inhibitors].

This is a Phase 3, open-label, randomized, clinical trial evaluating the efficacy and safety of gedatolisib plus fulvestrant with or without palbociclib for the treatment of patients with locally advanced or metastatic HR+/HER2- breast cancer following progression on or after CDK4/6 and aromatase inhibitor therapy.
This cluster randomised trial will examine the impact of introducing TyphiBEV, a typhoid conjugate vaccine licensed in India, on the incidence of typhoid fever in a high burden urban setting in South India.

This will be a phase III randomized trial of advanced gall bladder cancers. 140 patients will be randomized. Randomisation will be on a 1:1 ratio between the experimental arm and the control arm. Observation Arm : 6 cycles of Chemotherapy with Gemcitabine and Cisplatin will be followed by observation Chemotherapy followed by Chemo-radiotherapy Arm (CTRT): 6 cycles of Chemotherapy with Gemcitabine and Cisplatin will be followed by Concurrent Chemo-radiation with capecitabine (experimental arm).
The purpose of this observational study is to improve understanding of mental disorders among perinatal women in India.
Peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) is a novel endoscopic technique for the treatment of achalasia and other esophageal motility disorders. Initially, it was introduced to the world by Inoue et al. in 2008.7 Thereafter; it was rapidly disseminated because of low invasiveness, higher efficacy and technical novelty. The steps of performing POEM include mucosal incision, submucosal tunnel creation, myotomy and closure of the incision. Mucosotomy (2.8%) is the most common adverse event in patients undergoing POEM.8 It can be due to excessive use of cautery because bleeding points could not be seen clearly with white light during active ooze. RDI will help in early recognition of the bleeding points, thus prompt hemostasis. Bleeding during POEM is not very uncommon(0.5-0.7%).9 Early recognition of bleeding points and quicker hemosasis help in decreasing complications. The utility of RDI in the peroral endoscopic myotomy is not studied so far to our knowledge. Hence in this study we would like to look into the utility of red dichromatic imaging in per-oral endoscopic myotomy.
Pulmonary mucormycosis is a serious illness with high morbidity and mortality (approximately 57%). Surgery and antifungal therapy are central in the management of mucormycosis. Unlike rhino-orbital mucormycosis, surgery is not feasible in several patients with pulmonary mucormycosis. Hence, treatment is primarily with antifungal therapy. Amphotericin B is the standard of care in the medical management of mucormycosis. However, amphotericin B is expensive, has significant adverse events, and is available only in parenteral formulation. Posaconazole is effective against Mucorales, and is currently approved for salvage therapy of mucormycosis. Recent evidence suggest that in several patients, posaconazole may be effective as a monotherapy upfront. In the current study posaconazole versus amphotericin B will be evaluated for the management of pulmonary mucormycosis in a randomized clinical trial.
