NCT ID: NCT06179433 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Apical Periodontitis

Outcome of Regenerative Endodontic Procedure and Root Canal Treatment for the Management of Apical Periodontitis

Start date: May 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Background Root canal therapy is the primary treatment of choice for necrotic mature teeth with periapical lesions (PRLs), which does not restore the tooth's vitality. Provided that injectable platelet-rich fibrin (i-PRF) has shown promising results in regenerative medicine as a novel platelet concentration, the purpose of this study is to ascertain whether i-PRF, as opposed to blood clot (BC), can serve as a biological scaffold, thereby expanding the indications for regenerative endodontic procedures (REPs) in mature teeth. Novelty There is no study available that has evaluated the outcome of REP in the necrotic mature mandibular molars with periapical lesions. Furthermore, the efficacy of novel i-PRF as a scaffold in REPs remains to be explored. Objectives To evaluate and compare the outcome of REPs in comparison to conventional RCT in necrotic mature molars with PRLs and to evaluate the efficacy of i-PRF and BC in REP as a scaffold. Secondary objective is to evaluate pain for first postoperative week and subjective responses to pulp sensibility tests at 12 months follow-up. Method 120 patients presenting with necrotic pulp and periapical lesions will be randomly allotted to one of the three groups - REP using i-PRF or BC or RCT group. Comparative evaluation of outcome of REP and RCT will be performed at 12-months follow-up.

NCT ID: NCT06176924 Recruiting - Anxiety Clinical Trials

Effect of tDCS Along With Relaxation Technique on Anxiety Level in Students Preparing for Competitive Exams

Start date: August 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Anxiety is one of the most significant obstacles to academic success. When stress is interpreted negatively or becomes overwhelming, it causes anxiety before and during examinations, which in turn impacts students' academic performance. The difficulty in managing severely associated anxiousness enhances the demand for NIBS. It is a unique approach that has the potential to alleviate anxiety by modifying cortical excitability whereas Relaxation breaks the vicious cycle of pain caused by muscular stress, circulatory illness, and metabolic by-products alterations. The main purpose is to evaluate whether tDCS along with Relaxation technique reduces the anxiety level in competitive exam students. Total 46 students are recruited and randomly allocating in experimental and control group. The subjects in the experimental group are going to receive 9 tDCS sessions (2mA, anode placed on the DLFPC of left side and cathode on right supraorbital cortex for 20 min) along with relaxation technique. Subjects in the control group are going to receive 9 sessions of relaxation. The CSAI-2R scale is used as an Outcome Measure. Samples completed the CSAI-2R scale before and following the intervention. The data will be analyzed using SPSS 26.0 software.

NCT ID: NCT06175507 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Alcohol Liver Disease

Efficacy of Baclofen Vs Naltrexon in Achieving & Maintaining Abstinence in Alcohol Dependence.

Start date: December 25, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

ALD is the most common cause of liver cirrhosis in western world. In patients with ALD persistent alcohol intake is associated with increased mortality while cessation of alcohol consumption improve survival. Baclofen is GABA-B receptor agonist and it is safe in cirrhotic patient for alcohol abstinence i.e. already proven and naltrexone is Delta and k-opioid receptor antagonist and it is safe in cirrhotic for alcohol abstinence i.e, proven in ILBS.

NCT ID: NCT06174922 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis

A Randomized Trial of Prednisolone, Itraconazole, or Their Combination in Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis

PICA
Start date: December 1, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The investigators hypothesize that a combination of prednisolone and itraconazole would significantly reduce the exacerbation rate at one-year of patients with acute allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA) compared to itraconazole or prednisolone monotherapy. In this study, 300 subjects aged ≥18 years with acute ABPA will be randomized to treatment with either prednisolone, itraconazole, or prednisolone plus itraconazole, all for four months each. After collecting baseline demographic, immunologic, and imaging data, the investigators will follow the patients every 2 months for the first two visits and then every four months for three visits. The primary outcome will be the proportion of subjects experiencing exacerbation (asthma or ABPA) 12 months after treatment completion.

NCT ID: NCT06174805 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Gastric Outlet Obstruction

Start date: July 1, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To investigate the safety and technical success of EUS-guided gastroenterostomy (EUS-GE) using the AXIOSTM lumen-apposing Metal Stent for the management of symptoms associated with gastric outlet obstruction from malignant unresectable neoplasm.

NCT ID: NCT06174649 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Bloodstream Infection

Fast Antibiotic Susceptibility Testing for Gram Negative Bacteremia Trial

FAST
Start date: December 22, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study is a 2-arm, multicenter, multinational, prospective, randomized, controlled clinical trial. Hospitalized subjects with blood cultures growing Gram negative bacilli (GNB) will be randomized 1:1 to have the positive blood cultures characterized using standard of care (SOC) antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) vs. a rapid AST method known as Reveal™ in addition to SOC AST. The purpose of the FAST trial is to evaluate whether use of a rapid phenotypic AST improves clinical outcomes compared to use of SOC AST methods in clinical settings with high resistance rates.
