Three-dimensional functional Metabolic Imaging (3D MIRA) is a new infrared imaging technology using the Real Imager 4(RI4) developed by Real Imaging. This technology generates 3D metabolic maps and based on sophisticated machine learning technology, provides objective risk assessment for the presence of malignant tumor. The procedure is non-invasive, comfortable and does not involve ionizing radiation. Moreover, Real Imaging's 3D Functional MIRA is unaffected by breast density and is therefore ideal for evaluating patients with mammographically dense breasts. The purpose of this clinical study is to assess the ability of this novel technology to detect clinically occult breast cancer in a cohort of women that are at high risk for breast cancer. We hypothesize that the combination of screening mammography and metabolic screening (3D MIRA) will result in significantly higher breast cancer detection rates.
This randomized phase III trial studies combination chemotherapy with blinatumomab to see how well it works compared to induction chemotherapy alone in treating patients with newly diagnosed breakpoint cluster region (BCR)-c-abl oncogene 1, non-receptor tyrosine kinase (ABL)-negative B lineage acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Drugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as blinatumomab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. It is not yet known whether combination chemotherapy is more effective with or without blinatumomab in treating newly diagnosed acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
The scientific literature shows a quantitative relationship between diet combined with physical activity as a long term weight reduction modality and an important factor in weight maintenance. Primary assumption - the 14/21 diet will have an impact on BMI values, and their long-term maintenance. Secondary assumption - the 14/21 diet will have a positive impact on anthropomorphic and biochemical markers, on blood pressure, resting heart rate, RMR, and life quality.
Developed before the establishment of a structured process for drug assessment, nitrofurantoin is now being prescribed frequently given the rise in multi-resistant gram-negative pathogens. Doubts remain regarding fosfomycin's long-term clinical effectiveness. A randomized, controlled trial is needed to explore the clinical effectiveness and better define the side effect profiles of both nitrofurantoin and fosfomycin. This multi-center open trial will randomize 600 non-pregnant women at three international sites (200 each in Poland, Switzerland, and Israel) at increased risk for carriage of resistant uropathogens and with suspicion of uncomplicated lower urinary tract infection to receive either oral nitrofurantoin 100 mg three times daily for 5 days or a single 3g dose of oral fosfomycin. Patients will be followed for clinical and bacteriologic response at days 14 and 28 post therapy completion. The study hypothesis holds that nitrofurantoin will be superior to fosfomycin in clinical efficacy at final follow-up.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of apalutamide in adult men with high-risk non-metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer.
Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) is characterized by affective instability and irritability, diagnosed in 5% of reproductive-age women. Although causing severe insult to patients' functioning and quality of life, ~40% do not respond to conventional treatment options. In this study, the investigators aim to examine a novel therapeutic approach for the treatment of affective instability in PMDD: brain-guided training (i.e.NeuroFeedBack, NF) probed by prefrontal EEG alpha asymmetry. PMDD patients will be randomly assigned to either a real or sham EEG-NF protocol, and undergo simultaneous fMRI-EEG scans before and after training period. Comprehensive psychological assessment will be performed for outcome measure. The investigators hypothesize that EEG-NF treatment will enhance affective stability, thus improving patients' daily lives.

The study is powered for non-inferiority with respect to Target Vessel Failure(TVF)at 12 months.
β-thalassemia syndromes are a group of hereditary disorders characterized by a genetic deficiency in the synthesis of beta-globin chains. In recent studies done in β-thalassemia major patients abnormal iron deposition was evident using MRI in brain structures, cortex, putamen, and caudate nucleus . In most of the cases the neurological involvement is subclinical. Cognitive functioning was evaluated in beta thalassemia major, compared with healthy controls, using a neuropsychological battery including tests of abstract reasoning, attention, executive functions, language, constructional/visuospatial skills, and memory. Patients with beta thalassemia major, in particular those showing signs of hemosiderosis, had significantly impaired function in all neuropsychological tests. There was no relationship between cognitive performances and signs of deferoxamine toxicity, deferoxamine dosage, and levels of hemoglobin and ferritin. Event-related potentials (ERPs) are one of the most informative and dynamic methods of monitoring the information stream in the living brain. ERPs are linked in time with a physical or mental event, and are typically extracted from the scalp-recorded electroencephalogram (EEG) by means of signal averaging. ERPs have been used in the assessment of cognitive function in several disorders, including anemia and iron deficiency anemia. However, literature regarding cognitive function and ERP activity in thalassemia patients is extremely limited, especially in adults. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the cognitive and brain function in a group of 60 thalassemia patients and compare the results to healthy controls.
