There are about 9745 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Israel. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
We believe that there is an association between BMI and oocyte diameter in women undergoing IVF treatments. We plan to measure the oocyte diameter in 2 groups of women undergoing IVF. One group will have BMI 20-25 and the other group will have BMI above 30.
Lymphedema is one side effect of breast cancer treatment. Measuring the edematous limb enables monitoring changes in the lymphedema and the effect of treatment. Circumference measurement using a measuring tape is an inexpensive simple method and therefore useful and widespread in clinical practice. Circumference measurement performance varies amongst therapists and lacks uniformity in the literature. To date, the effect of different limb positions on measurement results has not been examined. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to describe 1) the effect of position on upper limb volume measurement by using circumference measurement and 2) to examine whether the difference between positions are similar in the upper limbs of the same woman, and 3) between groups of women who are in the intensive phase, in the maintenance phase of lymphedema treatment and women without lymphedema
The study is aimed to assess a new system for the automatic detection, quantification and treatment of Near Fall (NF) episodes in healthy older adults with a history of falls. The system is comprized of a treadmill and a virtual reality simulation which provides a motor-cognitive challenge to provoke NF. The challenges provided by the system are individualized and using machine learning algorithms will enable the identification and detection of NF under different conditions and allow for the most suitable treatment.
Patients receiving oral anticoagulation or anti-platelet therapy are at high risk of hematoma after device implantation. This study intends to examine the efficacy of the TopClosure(c) System in wound healing in these patients.
Underfeeding in the critically ill patient is a common observable fact throughout intensive care units. Patients who develop caloric deficit during their stay in the ICU have been shown in previous reports to be associated with increased complications such as increased rate of infections, and nosocomial blood stream infections. Yet, other studies have shown that patients with moderate caloric deficit may be associated with better outcome than patients who receive higher levels of caloric intake.
The purpose of the study is to estimate the rate of risk factors for appearance of disease or fetal malformations in a population who turn to hospital "Hillel Yaffe" and examine whether there is a difference in the rate of early testing for diseases or birth defects in the fetus. Understanding the population and its risk factors, will allow specific reference to these risk factors to lowering them to eventually reduce the rate of congenital malformations in this population.
The goal of the investigators research is to explore energy production of the ovarian follicle in older reproductive age women at the time of oocyte retrieval.
This study will evaluate the feasibility and efficacy of two interventions of lifestyle ( intensive and less intensive) to prevent diabetes in patients from Ethiopian origin, aged 25 to 55 years old with prediabetes living in Israel and insured by Clalit Health Services in the Central district, using resources existing in this Health Care system (HMO).
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of TL-118 alone or in combination with pancreatic cancer chemotherapy.
Background: Shared Decision Making (SDM) refers to a process of health care delivery in which practitioners and clients seeking help with decisions, collaborate to access relevant information and enable client-centered selections of health care resources (1, 2). SDM leads to better treatment adherence and outcomes for people with a medical problem (3). SDM principles have previously been used in psychiatry to improve antipsychotic and antidepressant medication adherence (4, 5); however, these principles have yet to be applied to psychiatric rehabilitation (6). The current research uniquely aims to test the development and implementation of a SDM intervention for people with psychotic spectrum disorders (e.g., schizophrenia and affective disorder) during the referral process to psychiatric rehabilitation services. The study will be conducted this year using a randomly selected sample from the population of people with psychotic spectrum disorders hospitalized in SHALVATA psychiatric hospital in Israel. It aims to facilitate better treatment and rehabilitation outcomes. It has received the support and approval of the Mental Health Division of the Ministry of Health (MOH) in Israel, the institutional review board (IRB) by the university of Haifa, Israel and a Helsinki committee approval by SHALVATA psychiatric hospital and the MOH in Israel.
