There are about 9745 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Israel. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this multi-national disease registry is to collect prospectively (with longitudinal follow-up) high-quality, standardized, and contemporaneous data to capture changes in the non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) treatment landscape and outcomes over time. The registry will capture data on participants; demographic, clinical characteristics (including biomarker data), treatment patterns, and effectiveness and safety outcomes for advanced NSCLC with mesenchymal-epithelial transition exon 14 (METex14) participants treated with systemic therapy.
Introduction: Exercise induced bronchoconstriction (EIB) is a common finding in the pediatric population with and without asthma. EIB is suspected with a drop of 10-15% in Forced expiratory volume in the 1st second (FEV1) during exercise challenge test (ECT). Some researchers assume that oral breathing, in several mechanisms, increase hyper-responsiveness of the airways. Aim: Asses the effect of a nose clip and allergic rhinitis in EIB. Hypothesis: The use of a nose clip in exercise challenges will increase the rate of positive tests. However, we assume that children with symptomatic allergic rhinitis will not demonstrate similar trends. Methods: A prospective, single center cohort study in a pediatric pulmonology institute, at Ruth's children hospital, Rambam medical center, Haifa, Israel. Children referred for ECT will be registered to the study and will be evaluated in two separate visits. Visit 1 - ECT with a nose clip and visit 2 - ECT without a nose clip. Demographic and clinical data and measurements of serial vital signs, exercise data and lung functions will be taken, as well as Total Nasal Symptoms Score (TNSS) and Asthma Control Test (ACT) questionnaires.
120 participants will be randomized into one of two groups that will perform resistance training at a gym three time per week for three months. One group will follow common resistance training guidelines, whereas the other will exercise according to their preferences and perception of effort. The groups will be compared on the following primary outcomes after six and 12 weeks: body composition, physiological and performance tests. The groups will be compared on the following secondary outcomes every two weeks: enjoyment and satisfaction levels. Adherence rates will be measured throughout the intervention.
Some plant pathogen fungi may develop in grains, nuts and dry foodstuff during their storage. They secrete toxins which are very resistant and persistent. The toxins enter the human body through the food. Women eating without their knowledge spoiled food absorb the toxin which is conveyed into their milk. In the same way, meat and dairy products can be contaminated with mycotoxins. Toxins and their metabolites can have negative effects on pregnant women and on the fetus or infant health. The main purpose of this trial is to assess the presence of toxins in mothers's milk.
This is a prospective, multi-center, single-arm, open-label, First in Human clinical trial to provide preliminary evidence for the safety and efficacy of the novel IoNIR stent system.
This is a phase 1b study to assess the safety and tolerability of tarlatamab in combination with programmed death ligand (PD-L1) inhibition with and without chemotherapy.
Osteoarthritis is a degenerative disease affecting joint cartilage and its surrounding tissue. It is the leading cause of disability in the elderly. Photobiomodulation (PBM), has been used widely for alleviation of pain, reduction of inflammation, and acceleration of wound healing, and particularly to treat knee osteoarthritis (KOA). The purpose of the current study is to determine if B-Cure laser treatments, applied at home, by the patient or personal caregiver in a real-life situation, can reduce pain and improve functionality in patients with KOA.
Prospective applicants who conform with inclusion and exclusion criteria will be accepted into the study and sign a consent form. Visit 1: After initial screening a case report form (CRF) will be filled, including information regarding general health, medication, demographic, oral and dental information. Participants will be clinically examined and the following data will be collected prior to surgery: microbial collection, Plaque score (PS) , probing pocket depth (PPD), bleeding on probing (BOP) at selected non-surgical and surgical teeth. Surgery will be performed followed by discharge with a bottle of chlorhexidine mouthwash and written instructions on its usage. Visit 2: Ten days after surgery sutures will be removed and collected for microbial examination. Microbial collection will be performed at non-surgical and surgical sites. Adverse events will be recorded and participants will be discharged from the study.
The purpose of this clinical trial is to learn about the safety and effects of the study medicine (called PF-07799933) administered as a single agent and in combination with other study medicines (called binimetinib) in people with solid tumors. This study is seeking participants who have an advanced solid tumor with a certain type of abnormal gene called "BRAF" and available treatments are no longer effective in controlling their cancer. All participants in this study will receive PF-07799933. PF-07799933 comes as a tablet to take by mouth, 2 times a day. Depending on the part of the study, participants may also receive another study medicine: - People with melanoma or other solid tumors may also receive binimetinib. Binimetinib comes as a tablet to take by mouth, 2 times a day. - People with colorectal cancer may also receive cetuximab. Cetuximab will be given weekly (or every two weeks) in the clinic as a shot given in the vein or port (intravenous, IV). Participants may receive the study medicines for about 2 years. The study team will monitor how each participant is doing with the study treatment during regular visits at the study clinic.
Previous research documented that real-time feedback on attention as well as related forms of mental training (e.g. mindfulness meditation) may be used to train and impact external attentional control. These approaches to mental training are designed to train meta-awareness in order to enable attentional control. It is not yet known, however, whether such training targeting meta-awareness can be similarly used to impact internal attentional control. Thus, the investigators will test whether real-time feedback training and a brief mindfulness meditation training, relative to placebo control, will lead to greater internal attentional control among adults with elevated negative repetitive thinking.
