There are about 9745 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Israel. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy and side effects of topical Loteprendol etabonate 0.5% (Lotemax) versus Dexamethasone 0.1% (Sterodex) following strabismus surgery.
Iron deficiency is a known feature of PV, occurs because of accelerated erythropoiesis, gastrointestinal blood loss and phlebotomy. Incidence and effect of iron deficiency in these patients is not well characterized. The study will assess the incidence of iron deficiency at diagnosis and during the course of PV, assess effect of iron deficiency on patient symptoms and its correlation with disease features. This is a multicenter, non-interventional, non-randomized, prospective, observational study in an adult population (patients >18 years old) of patients who have been diagnosed with PV and are being followed in either community or academic medical centers in Israel.
to assess whether cessation of 12 months DAPT regimen containing Ticagrelor results in a hyperreactive phase of platelet function
The purpose of our current series of studies is to evaluate different glaucoma treatments in vivo effect on the conventional outflow pathway, and specifically on the Schlemm's canal (SC) anatomy using Enhanced Depth Imaging (EDI)-optical coherence tomography (OCT) . The images will be taken as part of the patients routine medical follow up (before starting the treatment, and 1,4 and 12 weeks afterwards) diameter, cross-sectional area and volume will be measured using commercially available 3-dimensional reconstruction. The series of studies will be divided into 3 branches, each branch contains different treatments. For each treatment different patients will be recruited. The branches are as following- 1. The surgical branch- 1. Before and after trabeculotomy 2. Before and after cataract surgery 3. Before and after vitrectomy surgery 4. Before and after XEN™ Gel Stent implant 2. The pharmacological branch- 1. Before and during the treatment with prostaglandins analogs 2. Before and during the treatment with alpha blockers 3. Before and during the treatment with beta blockers 4. Before and during the treatment with carbonic anhydrase inhibitor 3. The laser branch- 1. Before and after trabeculoplasty 2. Before and after laser iridotomy 3. Before and after yag capsulotomy laser
Aim The primary objective of this study is to compare medication adherence with medical therapy in patients receiving once-daily versus twice-daily tacrolimus regimens. Participants 60 adult renal transplant patients randomized 1:2 into twice-daily and once-daily tacrolimus groups Outcomes The primary outcome will be medication adherence to the once-daily and twice-daily regimens, measured in terms of implementation. Secondary outcomes will include graft and patient survival, renal function and adverse events. Follow up - 12 months
Prophylactic probiotics have been shown to decrease the incidence of Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC) in premature neonates. However, there is some resistance to giving live bacteria to small babies. Based on animal data, the investigators hypothesized that heat inactivated probiotics would also reduce NEC.
Objective: To focus the high dose radiation to the gross tumor in the prostate while maintaining adequate dose for control of microscopic disease elsewhere in the prostate. In order to test the incorporation of the robust MRI and TRUS fusion algorithm in the clinical setting the investigators planned a study of Focused therapy with a primary endpoint of accurate localization of the high risk region. This is a pilot study of dose painted permanent I-125 seed implant to verify absence of tumor cells outside a high risk region using multi-parametric MRI and deformable TRUS registration. The high risk region will be dose painted to 160 Gy and the rest of the prostate will receive the normal prescription dose.
PRF110 is new extended release oily solution formulation of ropivacaine that is intended for local infiltration into surgical wounds. The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and early efficacy of PRF110 in bunionectomy surgery, to measure the pharmacokinetic profile of PRF110 over 72 hours and evaluate the duration of analgesia witnessed in the surgical setting.
This study is undertaken to search whether glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) analogue, Liraglutide, by enhancing clock gene and AMPK-SIRT-1 mRNA expression, may reverse the metabolic abnormalities of type 2 diabetes, improving overall glycemic excursion, inflammatory cytokines and β-cell function in type 2 diabetes individuals. The investigators aim is to compare the effect of 40 days treatment with Liraglutide (LIR) vs. 40 days with placebo (PLA) in T2D participants on the following end points: Primary end-points: - Change in the oscillation of CG (i.e. CLOCK, BMAL1, Per1, Per2, Cry1, Cry2, Rev-erb-alpha Ror-alpha), AMPK, SIRT1 and inflammatory cytokines mRNA expression in white blood cells (WBCs). Secondary end-points: - Overall daily glycemic variation assessed with continuous glucose monitoring system (CBMS) - Serum levels of inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6) - β-Cell function derived from glucose and insulin response to OGTT
This is a two-stage experiment; the first stage is an open label trial in which participants receive six intravenous (IV) treatments of ketamine. The second stage includes participants that responded to ketamine (i.e. reduction of 25% in their symptoms of depression, as measured by the Montgomery Asberg Depression Scale MADRS). The second stage is a double-blind, controlled clinical trial of D-cycloserine (DCS) vs. placebo, as maintenance treatment in patients who responded to ketamine treatment. The aim of the study is to determine whether 8 weeks of DCS maintenance therapy will prevent relapse of depressive symptoms following ketamine infusions
