There are about 5241 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Hungary. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The main purpose of this study is to determine if AZD8931 can improve the efficacy of standard chemotherapy for the treatment of advanced breast cancer. This study will be conducted in 2 parts: the first part (phase I) will determine a dose of AZD8931 that can be safely administered with paclitaxel chemotherapy. The second part (phase II) will determine the efficacy and safety of AZD8931 in combination with paclitaxel chemotherapy in breast cancer.
This study evaluated the effect of early initiation of aliskiren therapy, compared to standard therapy, in the reduction of cardiovascular death and heart failure re-hospitalization events within 6 months, in congestive heart failure (CHF) patients hospitalized for an episode of acute decompensated heart failure.
This open-label extension study will permit patients with Systemic Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (SJIA) who previously were responsive to treatment with canakinumab and canakinumab treatment-naïve patients with active SJIA with and without fever to be retreated with 4 mg/kg s.c. every 4 weeks and assessed for continued efficacy and safety until discontinuation or when study CACZ885G2402 is in place at their study center or around March 2013, whichever occurs first. Patients who are steroid-free will be able to taper their canakinumab dose to 2 mg/kg s.c. every 4 weeks.
This will be a double blind, randomised, 4 arm, parallel group, placebo controlled study of three dose levels of OC000459 tablets in patients with asthma controlled by beta agonist drugs alone. This study will compare the patients on OC000459 at three different dose levels (25mg once daily, 100mg twice daily and 200mg once daily) with patients on placebo after dosing for 17 weeks. The trial will be undertaken in an outpatient population. Each treatment arm will consist of at least 110 subjects. The objective is to assess the efficacy of these dose levels on the patients asthma.
The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy of AZD6244 in combination with docetaxel versus docetaxel alone in patients with KRAS mutation positive locally advanced or metastatic non small cell lung cancer.
This two-part study assessed the sustained efficacy of canakinumab in the double-blind Part II and the ability to taper steroids in the open label Part I.
This is a Phase I multicenter study that will be conducted in the United States and Europe.
The purpose of this study is to compare the reduction in hemoglobin A1C (A1C) for participants taking saxagliptin in combination with metformin immediate release (IR) versus metformin IR alone.
The objectives of the study are to demonstrate that Tobrineb®/Actitob®/Bramitob® is non-inferior to TOBI® in the primary efficacy variable, forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1) percent of predicted normal, and to compare the safety in participants with cystic fibrosis and chronic infection of the lungs with Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
This trial is set up to compare Zomacton to Genotropin for the treatment of growth hormone deficiency in children. The children will be treated for 1 year. Half of the patients will be treated with Genotropin and half with Zomacton. During this time they will be dosed every day by themselves or their parents at home in the evening. There will be 138 patients in the trial from age 3 to age 11. The patients cannot have been treated before with growth hormone and the patients must have a proven growth hormone deficiency, this will be shown by a specific test that will be performed before the trial in the local clinic and once during the trial. During the time of the treatment the patients will come to visit the clinic every 3 months. At these visits their heights will be measured, blood samples will be taken, physical examinations will be performed and questions about their health will be asked. At 2 times in the trial they will have a hand x-ray taken to measure the bone age. At the end of the trial the patients will stop the treatment and continue on one of the marketed products available to treat growth hormone deficiency.
