There are about 25435 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United Kingdom. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This LIGHTSITE II study is a double-masked, sham-controlled, parallel design, prospective multi-site study for the use of PBM as a treatment for visual impairment in subjects with dry AMD.
To determine whether dietary sulforaphane (SFN), naturally available from eating broccoli, improves pain in people with knee osteoarthritis (OA), the trial will compare broccoli soup (rich in SFN) with a soup, which does not contain broccoli (control), but looks and tastes the same. Sixty-four participants with moderate osteoarthritis, chosen at random, will either have the broccoli or the control soup. The participants will eat the soup once-a-day, for 4 days-a-week for 3 months.
This study will evaluate the absolute bioavailability of CORT118335 and determine the mass balance recovery, absorption, metabolism and elimination, and metabolite profile and identification of metabolite structures following a single oral dose of CORT118335 in healthy male participants.
This study will evaluate the mass balance recovery and metabolite profile, and will identify metabolite structures following a single oral dose of 14C-CORT125281 in healthy participants.
Patients undergoing electrophysiology studies (EPS) and cardiac ablation procedure for the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias may be at increased risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) during or after the procedure, which may lead to pulmonary embolus which can be life threatening. The study will use Doppler ultrasound scanning at 24h and between 10-14 days post EPS and cardiac ablation to assess the incidence of undiagnosed DVT. A positive finding may provide support for a larger clinical trial to assess the benefit of prophylactic anticoagulation post EPS procedure.
This study will investigate if there is any difference in the amount of weight gained by participants taking olanzapine with CORT118335 compared with olanzapine with placebo (a dummy test medicine which looks like CORT118335 but contains no active medicine). Safety and tolerability of CORT118335 when taken with olanzapine will also be evaluated.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the long-term safety and clinical utility of IPX203 in the treatment of participants with advanced Parkinson's disease (PD) who have motor fluctuations.
The clinical study will evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the ALLEVYN Gentle Border. The study is a post-market clinical follow-up to assess clinical performance and safety of ALLEVYN Gentle Border with new wound contact layer to support performance claims.
The purpose of the study is to collect information on how semaglutide works in real world patients. Participants will get semaglutide prescribed by their study doctor. The study will last for about 6 to 8 months. The participants will be asked to complete some questionnaires about their health and their diabetes treatment. Participants will complete these during their normally scheduled visits with their study doctor.
Intramuscular injection of tranexamic acid (TXA) would increase its use in situations where administration of intravenous drugs is difficult. The investigators aim to assess the population pharmacokinetics of intramuscular TXA in trauma patients. Primary endpoint: Serum TXA concentrations over time. Secondary endpoints: Local reactions at injection sites and adverse events
