Only those participants who have previously participated in a trial of RPC1063, being either RPC01-3101 or completed at least 1 year of the open-label period of RPC01-202 will be eligible.

NCT ID: NCT02529189 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Cardiovascular Diseases

Investigating the Effects of Dietary Nitrate on Vascular Function, Platelet Reactivity and Restenosis in Stable Angina

NITRATE-OCT
Start date: November 2015
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The mainstay treatment for reducing the symptoms of angina and long-term risk of heart attacks in patients with heart disease is stent implantation in the diseased coronary artery. Whilst this procedure has revolutionised treatment the incidence of secondary events remains a concern. These repeat events are due in part to continued enhanced platelet reactivity, endothelial dysfunction and a phenomenon called 'restenosis' i.e. the stent becomes blocked ultimately requiring another expensive and risky procedure. In this study it will be determined whether a once daily inorganic nitrate administration might favourably modulate platelet reactivity and endothelial function leading to a decrease in restenosis.

NCT ID: NCT02528292 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis

Clinical Disease Activity and Modulation of Synovial Lymphoid Structures and B Cell Function in Rheumatoid Arthritis

Start date: October 2010
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

This study will be an open label observational prospective study assessing the clinical efficacy of antiTNFα therapy and the alteration/impact on the synovial tissue, with specific regard to lymphoid aggregation, over a period of 12 months in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is one of the most important chronic inflammatory disorders in the UK. It affects approximately 1% of adults and causes considerable morbidity, substantially reduces quality of life and has a significant mortality. It results in large direct medical costs as well as extensive indirect social costs. Despite the significant therapeutic progress following the introduction of antiTNFα, a cure for RA is still elusive. At present the reasons for the variation in clinical response are not known. The main aim of this study is to test the hypothesis that there are distinct molecular and cellular phenotypes present within the synovial tissue that define specific disease subsets and provide characteristic prognostic implications. In particular, the aim is to assess the relationship between the presence of ectopic lymphoneogenesis (ELN) within the rheumatoid synovial membrane and response to antiTNFα therapy.

NCT ID: NCT02522390 Active, not recruiting - Health Clinical Trials

The Nutrition Researcher Cohort 2014 Study

NRC250
Start date: January 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The primary objective of the planned Nutrition Research Cohort (NRC) n250 study is to develop and evaluate the open access Nutrition Researcher Cohort for gathering personal health data from nutrition researchers, including analytical methods, standards and operation procedures, data infrastructure, ethical and privacy aspects, and governance. Besides, the study aims to exploit and analyse data on food, nutrient and bioactive compound intake and exposure, biomarkers for food, health and/or disease and health and/or disease related measurements to study the relation between nutrition, health and development of disease (on individual level). In addition, data will be used to develop applications that visualise personal health risks based for example on (validated) recommendations and applications that predict individual health risks. The study is designed as an open, one-group, exploratory cohort study. The total NRC cohort will be composed of about 250 life sciences employees and students from different, predominantly European, countries. This allows optimal involvement of participants in shaping all aspects of the cohort and the ownership of data. We aim to recruit about in total 20 male and female scientists per participating country.

NCT ID: NCT02520544 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Arthroplasty, Replacement, Hip

ATX Register Accolade Stem & Trident/Tritanium Cup With X3 Insert

ATX
Start date: January 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this register is to determine the Accolade/Accolade II stem and Trident/Tritanium cup survivorship over years.

NCT ID: NCT02516722 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

TReatment Of Pulmonary HYpertension 1 Study

TROPHY
Start date: February 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The objective of this study is to assess the safety, performance and initial effectiveness of the TIVUS™ System when used for pulmonary artery denervation through subjective and objective change in clinical parameters and haemodynamic evaluation. This is a prospective, multi-center, non-randomized, open-label clinical trail. The study will be conducted in up to 5 centers and will recruit up to 15 patients diagnosed with PAH, functional class III who have stable PAH on a stable drug regimen of two pulmonary arterial hypertension specific medications.

NCT ID: NCT02516241 Active, not recruiting - Urothelial Cancer Clinical Trials

Start date: November 2, 2015
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

A Phase III, Randomized, Open-Label, Controlled, Multi-Center, Global Study of First-Line MEDI4736 (Durvalumab) Monotherapy and MEDI4736 (Durvalumab) in Combination with Tremelimumab Versus Standard of Care Chemotherapy in Patients with Stage IV Urothelial Cancer

NCT ID: NCT02513394 Active, not recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

PALbociclib CoLlaborative Adjuvant Study

PALLAS
Start date: August 2015
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a prospective, two arm, international, multicenter, randomized, open-label Phase III study evaluating the addition of 2 years of palbociclib to standard adjuvant endocrine therapy for patients with HR+ / HER2- early breast cancer (EBC). The purpose of the PALLAS study is to determine whether the addition of palbociclib to adjuvant endocrine therapy will improve outcomes over endocrine therapy alone for HR+/HER2- early breast cancer. Assessment of a variety of correlative analysis, including evaluation of the effect of palbociclib in genomically defined tumor subgroups, is planned.
