NCT ID: NCT02044822 Terminated - Clinical trials for B-cell Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) With 17p Deletion

Efficacy and Safety of Idelalisib in Combination With Rituximab in Patients With Previously Untreated Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia With 17p Deletion

Start date: August 6, 2014
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this study is to evaluate overall response rate (ORR) following treatment with idelalisib plus rituximab in participants with previously untreated chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) with 17p deletion. An increased rate of deaths and serious adverse events (SAEs) among participants with front-line CLL and early-line indolent non-Hodgkin lymphoma (iNHL) treated with idelalisib in combination with standard therapies was observed by the independent data monitoring committee (DMC) during regular review of 3 Gilead Phase 3 studies. Gilead reviewed the unblinded data and terminated those studies in agreement with the DMC recommendation and in consultation with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). All front-line studies of idelalisib, including this study, were also terminated.

The purpose of this study is to determine the tolerability profile of OPB-111001 and to determine the most suitable dose of OPB-111001 in patients with advanced cancer

NCT ID: NCT02042677 Terminated - Ileostomy Clinical Trials

Assessment of a Skin Barrier

Start date: January 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

This evaluation is being conducted to determine user perception of a new flat one-piece skin barrier compared to their normal barrier.

NCT ID: NCT02041299 Terminated - Sickle Cell Disease Clinical Trials

Efficacy and Safety of Ferriprox® in Patients With Sickle Cell Disease or Other Anemias

FIRST
Start date: April 17, 2014
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This research is being done so that we can look at the safety and efficacy of deferiprone in people with sickle cell disease or other anemias. Deferiprone is a drug that removes iron from the body. We will be comparing deferiprone with deferoxamine, another drug that removes iron from the body.

NCT ID: NCT02034916 Terminated - Breast Neoplasms Clinical Trials

A Phase 2, 2-Stage, 2-Cohort Study of Talazoparib (BMN 673), in Locally Advanced and/or Metastatic Breast Cancer Patients With BRCA Mutation (ABRAZO Study)

ABRAZO
Start date: December 13, 2013
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this 2-stage, 2-cohort Phase 2 trial is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of talazoparib (also known as BMN 673) in subjects with locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer with a deleterious germline BRCA 1 or BRCA 2 mutation. Subjects will be assigned to either Cohort 1 or 2 based on prior chemotherapy for metastatic disease: - Cohort 1) Subjects with a documented PR or CR to a prior platinum-containing regimen for metastatic disease with disease progression > 8 weeks following the last dose of platinum; or - Cohort 2) Subjects who have received > 2 prior chemotherapy regimens for metastatic disease and who have had no prior platinum therapy for metastatic disease

NCT ID: NCT02029690 Terminated - Clinical trials for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Ph 1 Study in Subjects With Tumors Requiring Arginine to Assess ADI-PEG 20 With Pemetrexed and Cisplatin

TRAP
Start date: April 23, 2014
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

A study of ADI-PEG 20 (pegylated arginine deiminase), an arginine degrading enzyme in patients with histologically proven advanced malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM), advanced peritoneal mesothelioma (in dose escalation cohort only), non-squamous non-small cell lung carcinoma stage IIIB/IV (NSCLC), metastatic uveal melanoma, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), glioma and sarcomatoid cancers

NCT ID: NCT02029495 Terminated - Psoriatic Arthritis Clinical Trials

Study of Efficacy, Safety and Effect on Radiographic Progession of Brodalumab in Subjects With Psoriatic Arthritis

AMVISION-1
Start date: March 2014
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of brodalumab, compared to placebo, in subjects with psoriatic arthritis. The key secondary objective is to evaluate the efficacy of brodalumab compared to placebo at week 16 and week 24. The safety objective of this study is to evaluate the safety profile of brodalumab in subjects with psoriatic arthritis.

NCT ID: NCT02022358 Terminated - Osteosarcoma Clinical Trials

Will Glucarpidase After Methotrexate Treatment for Bone Sarcoma Lead to Fewer Side Effects and Reduce Chemotherapy Delays?

Start date: July 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Methotrexate is one of the most effective chemotherapy drugs in the treatment of osteosarcoma and some other types of bone sarcoma which are treated the same way as osteosarcoma. However, it frequently leads to sore mouth, tummy pain and increased risk of developing infections. The investigators try to save or "rescue" normal cells from the side effects of methotrexate by giving a drug called folinic acid. Folinic acid is started 24 hours after methotrexate and given regularly until methotrexate levels are really low and not dangerous to normal cells anymore. Despite this rescue, side effects are still a problem and many patients are not well enough to receive subsequent chemotherapy on time. Almost half of the planned chemotherapy cycles are not given on time due to methotrexate side effects. In this study the investigators will examine if adding a drug called glucarpidase to folinic acid is helpful. Glucarpidase is an enzyme that inactivates methotrexate in the blood stream. Lower methotrexate concentration in the blood stream leads to fewer side effects. The investigators would like to see if glucarpidase helps patients to have their chemotherapy on time, by reducing the side effects of methotrexate.
