Study of Elderly Patients With Cancer and Seen in Consultation of Geriatric Oncology in the Nord Pas-de-Calais (CONSOG).

The aim of this study is to establish a common geriatric oncology medical database. The patients concerned are the patients having benefited from a geriatric oncology consultation in one of the participating centres. This database is designed with a view on the one hand to better describe to better understand this population and on the other hand to facilitate the conduct of future retrospective or prospective studies on this population. The constitution of this observatory of patients seen in consultation should facilitate the development of studies from the analysis of data collected, and occasional surveys by the rapid identification of cases. Data from this database could provide clinicians with valuable informative elements of descriptive epidemiology and concerning the organization of care in the geriatric oncology field.

Circulating Tumor Cells in Lung Cancer Screening

This trial is intended to evaluate the value of circulating tumor cells (CTC), in combination with unenhanced (without injection of contrast media) low dose (to limit the effective radiation dose below 1,5 mSv) chest computed tomography (LDCT) in the screening of Lung cancer (LC). LDCT screening was shown to reduce LC mortality in smokers and ex-smokers, older than 55 years, with a history of more than 30 pack-years. LDCT however shows a close to 30% rate of false positive that require repeat follow-up and also invasive investigations, but also false negatives with metastatic LC being discovered between screening rounds. Migration of circulating tumor cells (CTC) is an early event of carcinogenesis and characterizes aggressive cancers. We recently showed that CTC can be detected with the ISET technique in a population at high risk for LC, i.e. COPD patients before LC was detectable on LDCT. The study will focus on patients at very high risk for lung cancer i.e. smokers and ex-smokers suffering Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). The study will enroll 600 participants who will undergo three rounds of screening at one year intervals, each round combining search for CTC on a blood sample and LDCT. Each participant will be followed for at least one year after the last screening round

This is a study to investigate the potential clinical benefit of trilaciclib (G1T28) in preserving the bone marrow and the immune system, and enhancing chemotherapy antitumor efficacy when administered prior to carboplatin and etoposide in first line treatment for patients with newly diagnosed extensive-stage SCLC. The study consists of 2 parts: a limited open-label, dose-finding portion (Part 1), and a randomized double-blind portion (Part 2). Both parts include 3 study phases: Screening Phase, Treatment Phase, and Survival Follow-up Phase. The Treatment Phase begins on the day of first dose with study treatment and completes at the Post-Treatment Visit. Approximately, 90 patients will be enrolled in the study; 20 patients in the Part 1 and 70 patients in the Part 2 portion.

Comparative Effects of Variable Pressure Support, NAVA and PAV

Experimental animal data suggest that increasing breathing pattern variability in mechanical ventilation could be beneficial. Variable ventilation can be induced through the following modes: Neurally Adjust Ventilatory Assist (NAVA), Proportional Assist Ventilation (PAV) and Variable-Pressure Support Ventilation (V-PSV). These modes have not yet been compared to each other. Pilot observations in our department suggest a feasibility in patients. The objectives of the study are to compare the impact of PSV, NAVA, PAV and V-PSV on the variability of the breathing pattern, patient-ventilator asynchrony, risk of lung overdistension, gas exchange, and repartition of ventilation.

Endometriosis is a benign gynecological disease, characterized by the presence of endometrium-like tissue outside the uterine cavity that affect up to 10-15% of women in reproductive age worldwide, with an extensive impact on women's wellbeing and their reproductive life. Endometriosis lesions are heterogeneous and three phenotypes of the disease are well recognized and are fundamentally different from each other: superficial peritoneal endometriosis (peritoneal implants), ovarian endometrioma (cyst ovarian endometriosis), and deeply infiltrating endometriosis (invasive nodules greater than 5 mm). The investigators performed a prospective multicenter comparative study to assess the maternal and fetal risks related to endometriosis during pregnancy, regarding disease phenotype, This study will evaluate with sufficient power the risk of prematurity and obstetrical complications associated with endometriosis according to disease phenotype. This study aims to provide new informations to pregnant women with endometriosis, guide the monitoring of pregnancy, optimize management strategies based on the nature of complications and ultimately to improve the health of women and their unborn child
