There are about 36633 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in France. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate whether oral finerenone (study drug), in addition to standard daily therapy, is effective and safe in treating patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and diabetic kidney disease, when compared to a placebo.
Primitive malignant bone tumor or mixt tumor (compounded of soft tissues and bone) is a rare pathology particularly within the pelvis, the sacrum or the hip (between 25 and 80 new cases in France per year). The reference treatment is a surgical "en bloc" resection associated or not to a medical treatment. This surgery remains highly challenging because of the complex three-dimensional geometry of the pelvic bone and the proximity of important organs and neurovascular structures. The local recurrence rate is significantly increased when the resection does not respect a safe tissues margin (R0 margin). A new technology has been developed and used in different reference sites the Patient Specific Instrument (PSI), manufactured by 3D-Side. The PSI allows for a more secure and reliable surgical gesture, leading to more frequent R0 margins. The main objective of this study is to compare the efficiency of the PSI for bone tumor resections within the pelvis with respect to the reference method.
In schizophrenia, dislocation of psychic functions involving a loss of contact with reality is frequently found. A fragmentation of motor and sensory perceptions could be held responsible (Fuchs, 2005). However, automatic integration between perception and action is the necessary condition to be in "relationship with the world." Affordance is the experimental link between object perception and actions potentially associated (Gibson (1977, 1979) explored by Stimulus Response Compatibility (SRC) paradigm. The existence of visual motor neurons leads us to postulate that the affordance effect can be assisted by a visuomotor priming of a hand in a position to grasp. With Tucker & Ellis sensory motor compatibility task, we study the capacity of affordance in schizophrenia, as well as the impact of perceptual motor priming on these affordance effects.
Study 110 is a Phase 3, multicenter study in subjects aged 6 years and older with cystic fibrosis (CF) who are homozygous for the F508del-CF transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) mutation and who participated in Study 109 (NCT02514473) or Study 011B (NCT01897233). Study 110 is designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of long term treatment of lumacaftor in combination with ivacaftor.
Patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) may show chronic signs of optic neuropathy (CON) that may follow acute optic neuritis (secondary form of CON, S-CON) or occur independently of any acute demyelinating lesion of the optic nerve (primary form of CON, P-CON). In both S-CON and P-CON, a long term progressive ganglion cell axonal loss occurs. This axonal damage could be secondary to retrograde atrophy of axons within plaques of demyelination or a primary progressive degeneration of ganglion cells, but the underlying physiopathology has not been fully questioned in the different profile types of CON. In this project, investigators aim at understanding the pathophysiology of S-CON and P-CON, i.e. secondary to demyelination or primary degeneration, in patients complaining of persistent visual complaints. In a first cross sectional study, 30 MS patients with mild to moderate P-CPON or S-CON and 30 age-matched control subjects will perform an extensive neuro-ophthalmological assessment including clinical examination, visual evoked potentials (pattern and low contrast), electroretinogram (pattern and multifocal ERG), OCT (peripapillary and macular volume scan segmentation protocols) and MRI of the optic nerve. In these patients with mild to moderate CON, investigators aim at differentiating patients showing predominant demyelination from those showing pure or predominant axonal degeneration. Visual function assessment and degree of axonal degeneration will be compared and correlated in the two types of underlying pathophysiology and in the group of control subject. In a following longitudinal study, the patients will be re-assessed a year later in order to evaluate the progression of CON in both profile types. Our hypothesis would be that visual function and progression is worse in the degeneration group as compared to the demyelination group. This study should help to find reliable measures of the pathophysiology of CON and correlate it with the long-term visual prognostic of the disease.
To compare the clinical impact and cost-effectiveness of blended Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for adults with major depressive disorder (MDD) with treatment as usual (TAU). Within the French context the TAU is considered as the traditional face to face CBT.
Schemas describe mental structures storing recurrent and organized pattern of information. Schemas may have a strong influence on the process of storing and retrieving new information into memory. Previous approaches in the cognitive neuroscience of memory have entirely focused on the individual dimension of preexisting schemas. In the real world though, much of the researchers' experiences and knowledge are collective or shared. Such social-cultural frameworks stored in collective memory may also reshape and reconfigure the construction of individual memories. Attempting to ascertain the influence of collective schema on the neural substrates of individual memories using cutting-edge brain imaging methods represents the challenge that MULTIBRAIN2 seeks to tackle. To achieve this goal, the researchers will record brain activity during MRI scanning sessions in a group of 24 participants while they are performing an encoding followed by episodic memory retrieval tasks on pictures of the World War II Memorial of Caen. This study will seek to identify brain areas of the prefrontal cortex encoding the organization of knowledge in collective memory using multivariate analyses of brain activity patterns, and then to understand how such regions might modulate the recruitment of the hippocampus during episodic memory retrieval using analyses of effective connectivity. The organization of knowledge in collective memory is measured in parallel through 1) the analysis of French social memory of World War II using a corpus of thousand of television and radio shows from the National Institute of Audiovisual, and 2) an internet task measuring the organization of shared individual knowledge about World War II. Once collected, these data will help us to understand how collective schemas may shape the organization of individual memories.
