There are about 36633 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in France. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The study will be in 3 parts: first one will be to address the key question of the lower limb frontal alignment based on both three-dimensional measurements of low-dose bi-planar X-rays and foot morphology assessment. Indeed, a major issue in the management of lower limb disorders is the ability to correctly assess abnormal development and decide on the most adapted treatment option. In particular, the link between lower limb disorders and foot morphology remain unclear. Recently, quantitative 3D measurement of the lower limb in children has been successfully assessed using low-dose biplanar X-rays. Second part will be to assess the reproducibility of the 3dimensional reconstructions whether they are made by a radiology technician, or by a so-called expert through collecting datas from 3 centers of pediatric surgery where EOS Imaging system is daily used to get spine or lower limb X-Rays. Last part will be to work on the recently developed weight-bearing foot 3D reconstruction method for clinical use using the Parametric Personalized Modelling approach (PPM). This will allow having a better understanding and evaluation of foot's anatomy and patho-anatomy.
Intramuscular injections of botulinum toxin are currently the best focal treatment of spasticity, with clearly defined indications and role. French and European recommendations focus on the toxin's mode of administration, which must be as precise as possible. The toxin's specific action on motor endplates (blocking the release of acetylcholine) shows the importance of targeted injections within the muscle belly. The pain caused by these injections is due partly the number of injections (up to 30 in a single session), and partly to the use of electrical stimulation guidance. Prevention and alleviation of the pain caused by these injections have become a regulatory obligation since the law of 4 March 2002 relating to the rights of patients and the quality of the health system (" Any person has the right to receive relief from pain, which must, under all circumstances, be prevented, evaluated, taken into account and treated … ").
The purpose of this trial is to investigate the safety and tolerability of TAS3681, to find the maximum tolerated dose (MTD)/recommended dose of TAS3681 (Escalation Phase) and to further evaluate safety and preliminary efficacy of TAS3681 at the MTD/recommended dose (Expansion Phase).
The investigators' study aims to compare the results of percutaneous endoscopic caecostomie (CPE) to optimal medical therapy in the treatment of patients with constipation refractory to medical treatment. The primary endpoint will be the quality of life assessed by the Gastrointestinal Quality Of Life Index (GIQLI) at one year. The secondary endpoints are digestive symptoms, Kess's constipation scores and Cleveland's incontinence score, tolerance of the Chait TrapdoorTM caecostomy catheter (CTCC) and the collection of possible complications. The patients included must meet the classification criteria of Rome III, have an elongated colonic transit time, have had a complete colonoscopy and be refractory to medical treatment including at least one stimulant laxative or suppositories or enemas retrograde.
Aging is a long term process, starting early in life, and progressively affecting various functions and organs. Cardiovascular diseases and cognitive impairment are two conditions related to advancing age and sharing common risk factors. The Mona Lisa- PREDOR study is a population-based prospective cohort study carried out to develop risk prediction algorithms aimed at identifying people who are the most likely to develop impaired psychometric and cognitive functioning and impaired cardiovascular risk, in the coming years.
This is a Phase 3, multicenter, open-label, 3-part rollover study in subjects with CF who are homozygous or heterozygous for the F508del-CFTR mutation and who participated in studies VX13-661-103 (Study 103, NCT02070744), VX14-661-106 (Study 106, NCT02347657), VX14-661-107 (Study 107, NCT02516410), VX14-661-108 (Study 108, NCT02392234), VX14-661-109 (Study 109, NCT02412111), VX14-661-111 (Study 111, NCT02508207), VX15-661-112 (NCT02730208), and VX16-661-114 (NCT03150719). The study is designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of long-term treatment of VX-661 in combination with ivacaftor.
Survival rate of childhood cancers is now reaching 80%. However, early or late complications related to surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy remain high and greatly increase the risk of late mortality. Health of individuals is closely correlated to the stability of the autonomic nervous system (ANS), a key system for maintaining homeostasis in any living species. Efficient computer tools allowed the opportunity to assess the intrinsic autonomic regulation of the ANS either directly or at a later time by an analysis of the heart rate variability (HRV). These tools have become very powerful predictors of cardiovascular morbidity and neurological aging. Physical endurance training improves both maximal aerobic capacity and ANS activity.
This is an open-label dose escalation study designed to evaluate the safety and pharmacokinetics of ABBV-085 and determine the recommended Phase 2 dose (as monotherapy or in combination with standard therapies) in subjects with advanced solid tumors.
Acute urticaria is common and affected 12% of population. 400 patients come in department emergency of Toulouse each year and there aren't many studies in literature which evaluate the glucocorticoids treatment. The standard treatment of urticaria is antihistamines H1, but glucocorticoids treatment administered orally for short course would permit to increase quickly acute urticaria uncomplicated. Clinical trial, prospective randomized double blinded of adults with acute urticaria less 24 hours duration and no take treatment urticaria before.
Early onset schizophrenia "early dissociative disorder" is a rare disorder with a low incidence of approximately (1/5000 to 1/20000). Its link with autism spectrum disorders remains unknown although both are serious neurodevelopmental diseases. As part of the 2011-2013 Interregional hospital Clinical Research program, University Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Pediatric Hospitals of CHU de Nice Lenval identified patients with a complex phenotype characterized by an early schizophrenia associated with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities in mild to moderate. This phenotype could be a new syndrome. The goal of our project is to define the genetic causes of this phenotype. The technique of high throughput sequencing will be used to obtain the sequence of exomes of these patients and their families. This study will therefore be important to give an accurate diagnosis for patients and their families. Moreover, we believe that this project will identify new genes involved allowing a better understanding of the pathophysiology. Recent studies show the involvement of mutations in several genes (eg NRXN1 and UPF3B) in these different clinical phenotypes. However, the genetic basis of the childhood and early onset schizophrenia are much less well known than those of autism spectrum disorder
