There are about 36633 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in France. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Phase I study. To determine the MTD (Maximum Tolerated Dose) of nintedanib + weekly Docetaxel in patients with locally advanced or metastatic lung adenocarcinoma after failure of platinum-based first line chemotherapy.
With the increasing aging population demographics and life expectancies, the number of very elderly patients undergoing surgery is rising. Elderly patients constitute an increasingly large proportion of the high-risk surgical group. Cardiac complications and postoperative pulmonary complications are equally prevalent and contribute similarly to morbidity, mortality, and length of hospital stay. Specific optimization strategy of general anesthesia has been tested in high-risk patients undergoing major surgery to improve outcomes. Our hypothesis is that a combined optimization strategy of anesthesia concerning hemodynamic, ventilation, and depth of anesthesia may improve short- and long- term outcome in elderly undergoing high risk surgery.
Community-Acquired Pneumonia (CAP) of children are a recurrent pathology with multiple severity scores. The etiology is never really identified, and the initial treatment is always based on probabilistic antibiotics, in the case of an bacterial infection, and by the way, potentially severe. Molecular tests ("multiplex") allow the simultaneous detection of a huge number of pathogenic agents, virus and bacteria, are now available. This project is based on a new strategy of diagnostic, using a multiplex PCR with quick results, coupled to an antigenic urinary test to allow a complete, quick, etiologic diagnostic as soon as children are supported in emergency. Children are randomized in two groups during inclusions : quick diagnostic strategy versus usual practice. Analyse will be centralized on anti-infectious treatment optimization, with the aim to better treat patients, minimize the costs, and decrease selection pressure of multi-resistant bacteria.
It is a randomized, controlled clinical trial, in healthy volunteers. They are in two groups : the test one will perform the vibration training (1h of Vibrasens 3 times a week, 24 sessions) whereas the control group will not be training. The primary outcome is the maximal voluntary strength.
Background : Chronic histiocytic intervillositis is a rare placental disease linked with poor perinatal outcome. In a recent study, a major antenatal increased alkaline phosphatase was suspected in patients affected by chronic histiocytic intervillositis. This increase may correspond to the release of alkaline phosphatase by the syncytiotrophoblaste prejudiced in this pathology. Aim : To confirm the association between high levels of alkaline phosphatase and the occurrence of chronic histiocytic intervillositis.
Social cognition and interaction training (SCIT), a group-based treatment that aims to improve both processing social information and functioning, may be an effective treatment for enhancing the social skills of people with schizophrenia. This study will compare the effectiveness of Social cognition and interaction training (SCIT) versus treatment as usual (ETP) in helping people with schizophrenia improve their social cognition and social functioning so specially on negative symptoms. Many studies show a connection between negative symptom and social cognition in schizophrenia.
The aim of this study is to compare the biomarkers levels as IL-18, KIM-1 and Cystatin C for patients infected by HIV with failure in renal function at year 5. The main criterion will be a degradation of the glomerular filtration throughput measured. It will be compared to clinical scores of degradation risks of renal function for patients infected with HIV.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate patients with glioblastoma that is MGMT-methylated (the MGMT gene is altered by a chemical change). Patients will receive temozolomide plus radiation therapy. They will be compared to patients receiving nivolumab in addition to temozolomide plus radiation therapy.
Open-label, non-comparative, multicenter, phase II study of Vismodegib in patients with locally advanced BCC.
Phase II study testing chemo-free induction therapy with Ibrutinib + Obinutuzumab nine months / Study Part 1: All patients will receive 8 courses of GA101 + ibrutinib 420mg PO every 28 days Study Part 2: After evaluation at D1 of month 9: If patients are in CR with BM MRD < 10-4, they will continue ibrutinib alone at a dose of 420mg daily If patients have BM MRD >10-4 whatever IWCLL 2008 responses or PR they will receive four courses of GA101 + FC at 28-day intervals + Ibrutinib PO until final evaluation of M16
