Environmental awareness leads medical field to question its responsibility and possibilities for action. Drug residues can have a major environmental impact as per their bioaccumulation, toxicity and persistence characteristics, depending on where they are discarded. In France, drug residues should be disposed of by incineration, but in practice, this is not systematic. Moreover, data on drug wastage in Intensive Care Units (ICU) are rare. GAME-OVER observational study aims to evaluate drug wastage in ICU in France and to suggest ways to improve health care practices.
Osteosynthesis by pedicle screwing is the reference technique since the 1980s, due to the quality of the mechanical grip of the screw in the pedicle, despite difficulties of placing the implant in this narrow tunnel. This precision was improved by fluoroscopy, then by navigation, which made it possible to reduce the extra-pedicular placement of the screws and consequently the complications. Since the 2000s, robotic has been developed in all areas, including medicine and surgery, (Da Vinci robot in urology) and several robots are currently marketed for spinal surgery, Medtronic's Mazor X Stealth ™ robot being the most successful. The aim of this study is to evaluate on a prospective randomized comparative study the quality of the placement of the screws as well as the occurrence of complications, the clinical results and the medico-economic interest that robotic surgery can bring.
The Bioethics Law of August 2, 2021 now authorizes, in addition to heterosexual couples, access to sperm donation for female couples and unmarried women. According to the Ministry of Health, since the opening of sperm donation to these new populations, requests at the national level (7000 during the first 6 months) have greatly exceeded the predicted figures (3000 per year). Welcoming this new patient population requires us, health professionals, to know it well. Indeed, to date, there is no reliable assessment in France of the life course, particularly reproductive, nor of the socio-demographic characteristics, nor of the psychological well-being of these patients. This study via a pseudonymised questionnaire aims to fill this lack of information in order to help professionals build relevant care pathways.
Smoking cessation assistance is one of the major issues in prevention policies because the prevalence of smoking remains high in France. With its numerous consultations, an emergency service seems to be an interesting place for setting up and helping with weaning, despite specific working conditions. The study, which is a pilot, is interested in the feasibility and efficacy of the implementation of a STIR (Screening, Treatment Intervention and Referral) protocol, which screening, brief intervention, nicotine replacement therapy and referral to a specialist in order to help the patients in smoking cessation.

Arteriovenous fisutla (AVF) is the vascular access of choice for hemodialysis but has a high early failure (eAVFF) rate. eAVFF can be defined as thrombosis/stenosis and Doppler ultrasound (DUS)-based failure-to-mature parameters such as postoperative blood flow (PostQa) < 500 ml/min, AVF-vein diameter (PostVD) < 5 mm, and AVF-vein depth (PostVDepth) ≥ 6 mm. We explored whether common risk factors for eAVFF could predict these eAVFF parameters and venous distensibility: the latter is largely overlooked as a potential eAVFF parameter.
Study CDFV890G12101 is an open-label, phase 1b, multicenter study with a randomized two-dose optimization part, and a dose expansion part consisting of two groups evaluating DFV890 in patients with myeloid diseases. Outcome data collected from this study will provide the basis for Post-Market Surveillance (PMS) reporting, Clinical Study Report (CSR), Clinical Evaluation Report (CER) on Decathlon lumbar belt Soft 300/ Mid 500 devices and support peer-reviewed publications on products performance and safety.
