There are about 36633 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in France. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this clinical trial is to compare the efficacy of twice daily applications of ATX01 (10% & 15%) versus placebo during a 12-week treatment period in treating chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) in adult cancer survivor patients.
Recently, a multidisciplinary scientific conference proposed to consider iron overload in dialysis patients as pathological only in the event of demonstration of radiological (in MRI), pancreatic or cardiac ferric deposits. In this context, the aim of the proposed scientific study is to demonstrate the presence of ferric deposits in the pancreas by T2* MRI in dialysis patients with radiological hepatic iron overload, particularly in cases of moderate and severe iron overload.
The purpose of this study is to measure local and systemic safety and tolerability as well as improvement of Achilles tendon mechanical properties after a single peritendon injection of NGI226 MP in comparison to placebo MP in patients with mid-portion Achilles tendinopathy.
Identification of the clinical specificities of complex post-traumatic stress disorder post-traumatic stress disorder
There are, to date, no validated biomarkers or head-to-head RCTs of biologics to guide choice of biologic agent in axSpA. While there are now two head-to-head studies of a TNF inhibitor (TNFi) vs an IL-17 inhibitor (IL-17i) in psoriatic arthritis. Recommendations refers to biological DMARDs (bDMARDs) including TNFi and IL-17i for patients with high disease activity despite the use (or intolerance/contraindication) of at least two non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in axial SpA (axSpA) and in failure of a strategy including methotrexate for psoriatic arthritis. A tool to help us to decide which bDMARDs to use is necessary. In SpA, the method of determination of IL17 seems to be questionable. The determination of cytokines after stimulation of immune cells in patients with active SpA requiring a biological treatment could provide us with a tool to assist in the choice of therapy. The aim of the study was to show the feasibility of cytokine assay following lymphocyte stimulation in active SpA requiring biological treatment. And secondly, to show the predictive character of this expression on the therapeutic response at three months after the implementation of a biological treatment.
Hybrid closed-loop technology have shown that it improves glycemic control parameters, but the investigators do not have sufficient data at more than 6 months of follow-up, allowing us to describe the effectiveness of these systems in the long term. All MiniMed 780G system users from November 2020 to March 2022 were included (n=32) For every time points, there was a significant difference in Time In Range between the pre-AHCL and post-AHCL. Noted difference were +14.5% and, +10.8% at respectively 3 months and 1 year. No more hypoglycemia were identified. This "real-life" analysis shows that the algorithm is effective in improvement of metabolic control for T1 diabetic children and adolescents, at one year of follow-up. However, an effect of breathlessness is observed which underlined the need for a solid therapeutic education program.
The management of rectal cancers has changed over the past decades towards a multidisciplinary strategy, combining radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and surgery. Local recurrence rates, dropped to less than 6 % with pre-operative radiotherapy and the standardization of total mesorectal excision (TME), at the price of increased peri-operative morbidity and functional sequelae. Since neoadjuvant treatment achieves up to 30 % complete response, organ preservation has been increasingly debated for good responders. With the introduction of better-quality imaging for tumour visualization and treatment planning, a new targeted radiation treatment was introduced with high dose rate endorectal brachytherapy (HDRBT), developped by Dr Te Vuong's team in Montreal. This treatment allows for radiotherapy dose escalation to increase the complete response rate, and subsequently the rate of patients amenable to rectal preservation. This phase 2 trial study is proposed to assess the feasibility of HDR brachytherapy after standard chemoradiotherapy among patients selected for rectal preservation.
The ENDALGOFIV study of pain assessment during the IVF pathway at Lille University Hospital, conducted from November 2018 to July 2020, showed that endometriosis patients have intense pain, particularly of a neuropathic nature, even before starting their IVF pathway compared to patients without endometriosis, but without an increase in pain scores during the IVF pathway. As a result of this study, a new pain management protocol for all patients undergoing IVF have been implemented in our MPA center. The study will be evaluated the impact of this new management. Main objective To evaluate the effect of the change in pain management protocol in all patients (endometriotic or not) undergoing IVF treatment during the study period by comparing them to the data of the ENDALGOFIV 1 study.
A Phase 2, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled parallel-group study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of daxdilimab in participants with moderate-to-severe active primary Discoid Lupus Erythematosus (DLE) refractory to standard of care.
