There are about 36633 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in France. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study evaluates the impact of 'DWELL' - a 12-week psycho-social education programme designed to help people with type 2 diabetes to better self-manage their condition. Up to 600 patients will participate in the programme, while a non-intervention group will receive routine care for their diabetes
The investigators hypothesize that the inhibition of endogenous reverse transcriptase would: (1) reduce excess cytosolic DNA, stress initiating the inflammatory loop at the origin of psoriatic lesions, and (2) interrupt the loop and lighten lesions
Study of the efficacy of CPX-351 treatment in patients with higher risk myelodysplastic syndromes : as first line treatment or after hypomethylating agents failure
In France, venous thromboembolic (VTE) disease is usually managed by vascular medicine physicians (VMP). The national OPTIMEV study, conducted more than 12 years ago among VMP practicing in hospital and in the community described the management of VTE in routine clinical practice. Since then a large number of practice changing studies have been published. This includes trials that have validated the use of direct oral anticoagulants (DOAC), the new standard of care of VTE, as per new national and international guidelines. Management of VTE in 2019 appears to be significantly different from the one that prevailed more than 10 years ago when the last national survey was conducted. It is therefore important to have an update on the routine clinical practice management of VTE by VMP. In this perspective the investigators aim to conduct a national survey among VMP practicing in France
Freeline is developing adeno-associated virus (AAV) vector based gene therapies for a number of diseases and is actively advancing a programme in Haemophilia B (HB). This study aims to collect prospective data to characterise bleeding events and Factor IX (FIX) concentrate consumption in HB patients that can be used as baseline for participants who elect to participate in a subsequent Freeline gene therapy study. The study will also screen participants for antibodies to a novel AAV vector to assess their suitability for inclusion in a Freeline gene therapy treatment study.
the aim of this trial is to demonstrate that when caring women with symptoms of acute cystitis without any risk of complication, general practitioner may use share decision making tool to help patients better understand the stakes of taking antibiotics.
High and Very High Risk cardiovascular patient journeys seems to vary from country to country, and current understanding of the process is incomplete. This real-life observational study which documents meaningful patient journey-related parameters can be expected to provide meaningful insight into the care process, country-by-country.
Breast cancer is the first female cancer in France. Total mastectomy occurred in 30% of breast cancer patient population. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the feasibility of outpatient surgery for the total mastectomy. In France, Ambulatory care is developed as part of the new national health plan. Breast conserving surgery for tumorectomy or partial mastectomy is already done in outpatient vacation. Total mastectomy is an extension of this surgery, and, as such, underpins the investigator's hypothesis that total mastectomy is feasible in outpatient care .
Pregnancy is a physiological condition which is accompanied by changes in the oral sphere which may increase the need for oral care and prevention. The role of dental surgeons is to provide appropriate care and to provide information on the prevention of oral diseases of pregnant women but also of their unborn baby. Investigators wants to determine if pregnants women know that national health insurance has set up a free dental care preventive examination.
Exploring platelet functions requires aggregation tests platelet. The Haematology Laboratory of Hospices Civils de Lyon currently has two new TA-8V plate aggregation automatons® (Stago). The supplier of these devices does not offer reference values for these tests. There are also no references in the data literature. Therefore reference values must be established from healthy volunteer subjects. The use of these automatons is subject to the NF (French Standard) EN (European Standard) ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 15189 standard of the COFRAC ( French Accreditation Comity) that requires checking their proper functioning. This audit must be traced in a method validation folder.
