There are about 36633 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in France. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Investigators will measure the variation of blood Metabolome through 1H NMR at several time points during the course of electroconvulsivetherapy in patients with a major depressive episode. Patients with a major depressive disorder or a bipolar disorder and a current major depressive episode will be included in this study. Investigators hypothesized that Metabolome could be a source to predict response during ECT and to help understanding underlying biological mechanisms.
The purpose of ATA-003-GSAR study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of a single intravenous infusion of ATA-200 in pediatric patients with limb girdle muscular dystrophy type 2c/R5 (LGMD R5). Patients will be treated sequentially in 2 dose-cohorts.
The goal of this observational study is to explore the value of blood biomarkers for the purpose of predicting irAE development in cancer patients treated with immune checkpoint inihibitors (ICI) alone or in combination with other treatments (chemotherapy, radiotherapy and targeted therapy). Data and blood samples will be collected from participants at different time points as part of routine follow-up visits. Data and blood samples will be analysed. Analysis will include the characterization of immune cells by mass and flow cytometry.
The objective of the study is to assess the safety and technical feasibility of a new imaging system, used during colorectal resection surgery, named Trident in version 1.0, which could be used by the surgeon during colorectal procedures to obtain information on intestinal tissue oxygenation.
Idiopathic Environmental Intolerance (IEI) denotes a functional disorder represented by heterogeneous symptoms that sufferers attribute to specific environmental agents and for which there may be no solid evidence of an underlying physiological cause. We are conducting a randomized controlled trial study to compare patients before and after a newly developed cognitive behavioral therapy treatment program for IEI, with respect to behavioral and psychometric variables. The results of this research project are expected to contribute to advancements in the clinical treatment of IEI, as well as to elaborate on existing theoretical models of IEI.
Bronchial fibroscopy (BF) is a routine practice examination in critical care areas. It can be useful either for the diagnosis of the causal pathology of respiratory distress or for the diagnosis of lung infection, sometimes nosocomial. In patients in spontaneous and conscious ventilation, BF are performed vigil after local anesthesia according to the recommendations of the Société de Pneumologie de langue Française. The good tolerance of the examination and its good conduct may require the use of anxiolytics, sedatives or analgesics to limit the traumatic experience of a highly anxiety-provoking examination. Virtual reality (VR) combines a set of paramedical techniques (hypnosis, music therapy, sophrology) and is now a non-drug alternative to improve the tolerance of certain invasive gestures.VR has been shown to reduce pain and anxiety during first pathways placement or digestive endoscopies. To date, there is no evidence of the benefit of VR when performing semi-urgent BF in critical care areas.
The goal of this interventional study is to constitute a biological samples collection collected from healthy elderly volunteers and used for scientific purposes. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Improving knowledge of the composition of the gut microbiota - Identify, isolate and culture microbiota species of interest in the field of health ageing or used as therapeutics associated to the vaccination - Determining the correlation between the gut microbiota composition and the immune response of individuals.
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of romosozumab treatment for 12-months compared with bisphosphonate(s) on the number of clinical fractures at 12-months; the number of any fractures at 12-months and change in lumbar spine bone mineral density (BMD) Z-score at 6-months.
Neutrophils and eosinophils can have different functions. Depending on their environment, they can be more or less active, with more or less inflammatory activity. Biotherapies can reduce the number of inflammatory cells in the blood and bronchi. However, it is not known whether they have the ability to modify the functions of the remaining cells. The aim of this study is to better understand the functioning of eosinophilic and neutrophil polynuclear drugs involved in the response to biotherapies in severe asthma. The hypothesis is that biotherapies modify the inflammatory functions of polynuclear cells, which would contribute to the effect of the drug on asthma.
This is a national, non-randomized, multicentric trial evaluating the feasibility and the tolerance of the RAPID procedure in patients with HCC with preserved liver function requiring a liver transplantation.
