There are about 21071 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Spain. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
People who have received an allogeneic hematopoetic stem cell transplant (HSCT) are more likely than other people to get ill from a germ called Streptococcus pneumoniae. Most people who have had a stem cell transplant are offered a vaccine called 23-valent pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine (23vPS) to help protect against this germ. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the immune response in HSCT recipients who receive a 13 valent pneumococcal vaccine (13vPnC) followed by 23vPS.
The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the AdaptivCRT algorithm is at least as good as manual echo based optimization in regard to patient outcomes and cardiac performance
Pilot study for the treatment of primary HIV infection with the objective to induce a strong specific HIV immune response able to control viral replication without HAART.
Main purpose of the study: To comparatively assess the diagnostic performance of non invasive anatomical and functional imaging modalities to detect significant obstructive coronary artery disease as demonstrated at invasive coronary angiography and functional evaluation of coronary lesions (fractional flow reserve).
This trial is conducted in Asia, Europe and North America. The aim of the trial is to investigate the safety of monthly replacement therapy of recombinant factor XIII in patients with congenital FXIII deficiency. The trial continues until the product is commercially available, but an interim assessment will take place when all subjects have completed 52 weeks in the trial.
Eligible HIV-infected patients with clinically evident lipoatrophy despite treatment with efavirenz and fixed-dose combination of thymidine nucleoside analogues will be informed and asked to enroll in the study; will be randomized (1:1) into two branches, A: EFV + Fixed combinations of analogue tenofovir + emtricitabine.B (experimental): LPV/r + combination of correspondent analogues. The main variable is the evaluation of the absolute change in limb fat mass at 24 months from baseline in both groups.
For an efficient "egg banking" system, an equally efficient cryopreservation strategy that ensures the viability of the oocytes is required. Very recently, improved and new methods are yielding satisfactory results. In particular, vitrification is providing excellent results for both survival and clinical outcomes. However, to evaluate the over all out come there are other parameters to be considered. In this sense, capacity development of embryos generated after oocyte vitrification is a major factor when assessing the viability of vitrified oocytes. Accordingly, the evaluation of the capacity of vitrified oocytes to reach the blastocyst stage will be highly valuable to fully assess the effectiveness of the "egg banking" and its contribution to ovum donation programs. The aim of this study is to evaluate the developmental capacity of vitrified oocytes by their ability to reach the blastocyst stage. The study includes oocyte donation cycles conducted with vitrified versus fresh oocytes.
To test the clinical effect of rasagiline on subjects with MSA of the parkinsonian subtype.
To assess clinical efficacy and safety of long-term orally administered thioctic acid in the treatment of diabetic polyneuropathy.
Evaluates the effectiveness of on-label Paricalcitol versus Cinacalcet with Low-Dose Vitamin D.
