An Investigational Immuno-therapy Study of Nivolumab Compared to Temozolomide, Each Given With Radiation Therapy, for Newly-diagnosed Patients With Glioblastoma (GBM, a Malignant Brain Cancer)

The purpose of this study is to evaluate patients with glioblastoma that is MGMT-unmethylated (the MGMT gene is not altered by a chemical change). Patients will receive Nivolumab every two weeks in addition to radiation therapy, and then every four weeks. They will be compared to patients receiving standard therapy with temozolomide in addition to radiation therapy.

Incisional Hernia Progression Over Time

This is a prospective multicenter study of patients diagnosed with a medium to giant incisional hernia (transverse defect >7 cm). Patients referred to the surgical outpatient clinic are invited to participate in the study. As a standard, all patients who are examined for incisional hernia undergo CT scan according to a hernia protocol, before planning of surgical repair (baseline scan). After this CT scan, patients are seen in the out-patient clinic once again and either treated conservatively without surgery, or scheduled for elective surgical repair of the hernia. If surgery is planned, the patients participating in the study undergo an additional CT scan in hernia protocol, within two weeks prior to surgery (follow-up scan). If a conservative non-surgical approach is chosen, patients can still participate in the study and will undergo an additional CT scan after 28-32 weeks.

Effect of High Cheese Consumption on Metabolic Syndrome Risk Factors

The overall aim of the present research project is to examine whether consumption of high daily amounts of cheese, both high-fat and low-fat, affects risk markers of disease in a study population of men and women with metabolic syndrome risk factors. It will be explored whether high-fat and/or low-fat cheese consumption can be regarded healthy to consume for at-risk populations (assessed by within-group comparisons from baseline values) and if low-fat or non-fat alternatives to high-fat cheese should continue to be recommended (assessed by between-group comparisons). In addition, it will be assessed if cheese consumption affects women and men differently as suggested by observational data. The present research project will examine the health effects of cheese as a food product per se and not as a sum of single nutrients, knowing that the single components of cheese cannot be adequately placebo-matched. A relatively high daily intake of high-fat cheese will be compared to a similar intake of low-fat cheese and with a carbohydrate control.

The overall goal of this retrospective registry study is to investigate the burden-of.illness in atrial fibrillation (AF) in Denmark. Several Danish registries will be utilized to collect information on the diseases epidemiology including incidence and prevalence of AF and stroke as well as a stroke risk stratification of the Danish AF-population, the clinical and economical burden (in terms of direct and indirect cost) of AF and stroke to Danish patients, healthcare providers / healthcare system and society as well as describing treatment patterns with anticoagulant agents and their consequences in terms of stroke, bleeds, death and according cost in a real-life setting.

Safety and Efficacy of CRD007 in Adult Asthma Subjects

This is a double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled, parallel group, Phase 2 trial evaluating CRD007 administered orally b.i.d for 14 weeks for the treatment of asthma. CRD007 will be given as add on to a background of commonly used controller medication, i.e. inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) with or without long-acting beta2-agonist (LABA). By gradually reducing the background controller medication, the efficacy and safety of CRD007 will be evaluated on top of several dose levels of this medication.

A Study of Tucatinib vs. Placebo in Combination With Capecitabine & Trastuzumab in Patients With Advanced HER2+ Breast Cancer

This study is being done to see if tucatinib works better than placebo to help patients who have a specific type of breast cancer called HER2 positive breast carcinoma. The breast cancer in this study is either metastatic (spread into other parts of the body) or cannot be removed completely with surgery. All patients in the study will get capecitabine and trastuzumab, two drugs that are often used to treat this cancer. There are two parts to this study. The first part of the study is already complete. Patients were randomly assigned to get either tucatinib or placebo (a pill with no medicine). Since this part was "blinded," neither patients nor their doctors knew whether a patient got tucatinib or placebo. The second part of the study is called the Unblinded Phase. In this part of the study, participants and their doctors know which drugs are being given. Participants who used to get or are currently getting placebo may be able to start taking tucatinib instead. Each treatment cycle lasts 21 days. Patients will swallow tucatinib pills two times every day. They will swallow capecitabine pills two times a day during the first two weeks of each cycle. Patients will get trastuzumab injections from the study site staff on the first day of every cycle.

Recover Working Life - Back on the Job After Acute Illness

The project will investigate levels of physical, psychosocial functions and inflammatory biomarkers in a group of patients who by self-assessment indicates a perceived risk of decline in work ability after hospital admittance. The patients will be randomised to an intervention of physical training and followed for development in functional levels compared with patients not receiving the intervention. The goal is to validate measures of work ability assessment in connection to hospital admittance. The validation will provide important information about the quality of rehabilitation services that many municipalities provides through private suppliers - and where the effect on work ability lacks evidence-based documentation. The project aims to link patient treatment to recovery and an optimal return to everyday life, comprising the patients work life. The frame is a multi-sectoral accepted platform for assessing patients' needs for care, treatment and rehabilitation, which is based on a professional assessment of the efficacy and quality of, varies heath care related deliveries. The acceptance of a multi-sectoral creates a need for accessible clinical tests of physical and mental functioning, combined with biomarkers to identify patients need. The project investigates whether it is possible to identify patients (age 18 to 60 year) with an increased risk of losing their ability to work after discharge from an acute hospitalisation. And to evaluate whether measurable effects on inflammation and functional levels of labour oriented training program can be identified.
