There are about 11304 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Denmark. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
a randomized, investigator-blind, interventinal study will compare the effect of benzalkonium-chloride (BAK) preserved and preservative-free (PF) eye drops on conjunctival goblet cells.
The purpose of this study is to describe type and extent of psychological distress (adverse effects) in patients undergoing surgery for colorectal cancer with peritoneal metastases and after surgery for colorectal cancer with involvement of the urinary bladder.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of nipocalimab compared to placebo in participants with generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG).
In a prospective cohort study (n = 1.000), the investigators aim to investigate the correlation between cardiac biomarkers and advanced echocardiography and determine whether these are prognostic markers of heart disease in patients suffering from psoriasis.
The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of pembrolizumab plus lenvatinib plus chemotherapy compared with pembrolizumab plus chemotherapy as first-line intervention in participants with metastatic esophageal carcinoma The primary hypotheses are that pembrolizumab plus lenvatinib plus chemotherapy is superior to pembrolizumab plus chemotherapy with respect to overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) per Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors Version 1.1 (RECIST 1.1) by blinded independent central review (BICR).
The overall objective of the study is to assess DNA-methylation changes in circulating blood cells and cell free DNA in plasma from patients undergoing the Whipples procedure for pancreatic caner
Carotid endarterectomy (CEA) and carotid stenting (CAS) are often performed for subgroups of patients for whom procedural benefit has not been established in randomised trials and despite evidence of serious procedural risk. In some places, the COVID-19 pandemic has made it difficult or impossible to perform CEA and CAS in time. This study aims to measure the rate of ipsilateral stroke and other complications in individuals with symptomatic carotid stenosis, whom for any reason are managed using current best medical intervention alone. The investigators expect at least 50% lowering of the ipsilateral stroke rate compared to that seen with medical intervention alone in past randomised trials.
Physical training can improve metabolic health in patients with insulin resistance and/or type 2 diabetes (T2D). The cellular and molecular changes underlying the improvements in metabolic health are multi-factorial and only partly understood, but most likely involve adaptation at a multi-organ level that includes improvements in skeletal muscle glucose uptake and adipose tissue insulin sensitivity. The aim of this project is to study the transcriptional differences in skeletal muscle and adipose tissue at baseline and after a 3-month physical training program in obese patients with and without T2D and to use this information to identify novel therapeutic targets for improvement of glucose disposal and insulin sensitivity in patients with T2D. Thus, the investigators aim to find answers to the question: What is the mechanism behind the effect of physical activity on insulin sensitivity in type 2 diabetes?
Brief summary: The randomised controlled trial investigates the effect of a pharmacist intervention targeting polypharmacy patient at two levels medical clinics and patient level. The purpose is to gain more knowledge to patients and physicians about their medication and to see changes in the patient's medication and health-related quality of life.
Systematic nurse-led consultations based on electronic patient-reported outcomes (ePRO) will be tested among women with ovarian - and endometrial cancer receiving first-line chemotherapy.
