There are about 25560 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Germany. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
To evaluate effects of mantra meditation on depressive symptoms if applied as adjunctive therapy to psychotherapy and/or antidepressant drugs and to explore if meditation leads to increased spirituality as a potential mediating factor of positive mental health.
This is a 1:1 randomized double-blind Placebo-controlled moncenter Phase IV study to investigate whether a successful interferon-free treatment of HCV-infection with ombitasvir/paritaprevir/ritonavir (OBV/PTV/r) in combination with dasabuvir (DSV) improves the patients' attention ability as compared to placebo as measured with the Att Test Sum Score change from baseline to week 12. A total of 30 patients with non-cirrhotic genotype 1b HCV infection will be randomly assigned to receive 12 weeks verum followed by 12 weeks Placebo (arm A) versus 12 weeks Placebo followed by 12 weeks verum (arm B). Patients will be followed up for 48 weeks.
This is a Phase IIa/b double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized, parallel group, multicenter study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of RO7123520 as adjunctive therapy in participants with RA who are inadequately responding to standard-of-care (methotrexate and anti-TNF-alpha therapy). Part 1 of the study will evaluate safety. Part 2 will evaluate efficacy and safety. Part 3 will evaluate dose-ranging efficacy. Participants will have the option of continuing to the extension period of the study.
This study is conducted to examine how GSK2586881, a recombinant human ACE2 peptide, modulates the acute hypoxic pulmonary vasoconstriction (HPV) response in healthy volunteers. The study will be single-center, randomized, placebo-controlled and double blind (sponsor open). Subjects will be randomized to receive a single intravenous (IV) dose of GSK2586881 or placebo (saline) in a crossover design. The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the effect of a single IV dose of GSK2586881 on the HPV response in healthy volunteers during exercise under hypoxic conditions. Approximately 35 subjects will be enrolled for a maximum of 56 days.
The primary objective of this study is to compare safety and efficacy of a haploidentical T-cell depleted HSCT and adjunctive treatment with ATIR101 versus a haploidentical T cell replete HSCT with post-transplant administration of high dose cyclophosphamide (PTCy) in patients with a hematologic malignancy. An additional objective of the study is to compare the effect of the two treatments on quality of life.
The purpose of this study is to determine if an investigational treatment is effective compared with placebo and PVP-Iodine in the treatment of adults and children with adenoviral conjunctivitis.
This study will assess the impact of fever prevention on fever burden and short- and long-term neurologic outcomes in brain injured patients. Half of the subjects will undergo fever prevention using a targeted temperature management system and half of the subjects will be treated for fever should it develop.
Endoscopic lung volume reduction coil treatment is a treatment option for selected patients with severe emphysema. In the advanced stages, emphysema may lead to chronic hypercapnic respiratory failure. In this observational study the safety and efficacy of endoscopic lung volume reduction coil treatment in patients with chronic hypercapnic respiratory failure is evaluated.
The outcome of HMA-refractory patients with MDS or AML is dismal with a median survival of 5 months after failure, representing a significant unmet medical need due to the very limited treatment options. In this context, a specific targeting of the leukemic stem cell (LSC) seems a promising option to selectively combat the leukemic progenitor cells. In fact, CD123 is overexpressed in AML and MDS progenitors making it an attractive target for immunotherapy-based approaches. JNJ-56022473 is a promising compound that has been engineered with regard to this strategy and the current phase II trial has the aim to evaluate the overall hematological response rate at 3 months in HMA refractory/relapsed AML and MDS patients.
The purpose of this study was to assess efficacy, safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of ABBV-8E12 in participants with progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP).
