There are about 25560 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Germany. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of a once daily subcutaneous (SC) injection of RM-493, in subjects with POMC (propiomelanocortin) or other related rare genetic mutations, on body weight, metabolic function and blood pressure. Patients who respond during the initial 84 days of treatment can enter into long-term (2-year) extensions. The study drug (RM-493) will be administered in an unblinded fashion.
This study evaluates the addition of BL-8040 to the standard consolidation therapy with cytarabine in the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in adults. Half of participants will receive BL-8040 and cytarabine in combination, while the other half will receive placebo and cytarabine.

The aim of this study is to examine the clinical outcome after anterior cervical decompression and fusion, and cervical disc prostheses in general. Additionally these two surgical methods for degenerative diseases of the cercival spine are analyzed comparatively in order to see whether one procedure should be preferred.
The German ADPKD Tolvaptan Treatment Registry is a prospective, observational, multicentric study of patients suffering from ADPKD that are considered for tolvaptan treatment. All ADPKD patients that are evaluated for treatment indication, or that are planned to be treated with tolvaptan, or that are already treated with tolvaptan are eligible. This registry is designed to provide "real-world" data on treatment management of patients with ADPKD.
The objective of the study is to investigate clinical outcomes following single versus dual stenting strategies for the treatment of true bifurcation distal left main coronary artery lesions.
Despite its common occurrence, still little is known about pathomechanisms determining different wheeze and asthma trajectories and phenotypes in children, and those beginning in adulthood. Therefore, deciphering underlying determinants for different childhood and adult asthma phenotypes is urgently needed to develop personalized treatment approaches targeting distinct underlying mechanisms. Thereby, secondary prevention early in the disease process can also be achieved. The decoding of such mechanisms and their translation to the individual patient is the aim of the Disease Area Asthma Allergy of the 'German Centre for Lung Research' (DZL).
Advanced airway interventions are common high risk, high stakes events for children in intensive care units (ICU) and emergency departments (ED), with risk for life and health threatening consequences.
This is a monocentric, randomized, controlled, 2 arms, interventional, observer-blinded feasibility trial. Patients suffering from essential tremor (ET) will be treated with Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS). For the implantation of the DBS electrodes and the DBS system (Activa INS, Medtronic) patients will randomized either to conventional stereotactic surgery of thalamic/subthalamic region with short anesthesia or to MR-tractography guided stereotactic surgery with target point of the dentato-rubro-thalamic bundle (DRT) in general anesthesia. Patients will visit the study center at screening, baseline/neurosurgery, six and twelve months after neurosurgery.
The aim of this study is to collect non-individual related blood samples for the compelling of a unique database of tissue samples to understand the inflammatory responds after cardiac surgery on an on-going basis. This includes especially protein analyses and genetic testing for certain neurotransmitters in the blood and tissues to understand disease markers related to heart disease. The study is designed as an openly recruiting biobank with the purpose to later serve multiple study purposes. Outcomes refer to protein analyses and genetic testing for neurotransmitters in the blood and tissues.
