There are about 25560 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Germany. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
In the first visit a magnetic resonance imaging measurement will be done for the use of a neuronavigation System with the aim to control for stable coil position over the course of the trial. EEG positions CP5/CP6 will be used for positioning the coil. Two test sessions will examine the temporary reductions in tinnitus loudness after 1Hz, 10Hz, 20Hz and 0.1Hz rTMS as control condition over left and right temporo-parietal junction accompanied by electroencephalography. For the two-week treatment three arms will be evaluated: standard treatment (1Hz left-sided) in the groups with and without temporary reductions in test sessions and the best protocol as elicited in test sessions.
Study objective is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of acute permanent stenting of symptomatic intracranial stenosis following unsuccessful recanalization by thrombectomy in acute ischemic stroke with large vessel occlusion using the self-expandable Credo® stent together with the NeuroSpeed® PTA balloon catheter.
The primary objective is to determine if BIIB093 reduces brain contusion expansion by Hour 96 when compared to placebo. The secondary objectives are to evaluate the effects of BIIB093 on acute neurologic status, functional outcomes, and treatment requirements, to further differentiate the mechanism of action of BIIB093 on contusion expansion by examining differential effects on hematoma and edema expansion, and to determine if BIIB093 improves survival at Day 90 when compared to placebo.
In this randomized controlled trial we will treat 80 patients with depression with intermittent theta burst stimulation in two parallel arms. Both arms are active interventions differing with respect to positioning of the treatment coil - one arm with neuronavigation and one arm with targeting according to EEG Position representing the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex. Randomisation will be balanced for in- and out-patients and for the treatment arms.
The MAURITIUS trial is a single-arm, multicenter phase II study of single treatment with midostaurin being applied to AML (acute myeloid leukemia) patients with activating FLT3 (FMS-like tyrosine kinase3) mutations and either molecular relapse or persistent molecular positivity after allogeneic SCT. The leukemia-free survival (LFS), the achievement of "MRD low" as well as the incidence of GvHD after transplantation reflect the most relevant endpoints of this non-randomized clinical trial.
This extension study (CZPL389A2203E1) was designed as a 2-year (100 weeks) extension to the core study (CZPL389A2203/ NCT03517566) which is disclosed separately. It aimed to assess the short-term and long-term safety of (blinded) 30 mg o.d and 50 mg o.d ZPL389 with concomitant or intermittent use of topical corticosteroids (TCS) and/or topical calcineurin inhibitors (TCI).
This study provides an opportunity for subjects in the REFALS (3119002; NCT03505021) study to continue treatment with oral levosimendan. The study will also provide more information about long-term safety and effectiveness of oral levosimendan in patients with ALS. This is an open-label study, so that all eligible subjects that complete the double-blind REFALS study (48-weeks of treatment) will have the opportunity to receive oral levosimendan treatment. The primary objective, in addition to continuing treatment for subjects enrolled in the REFALS study, is to evaluate long-term safety of oral levosimendan in ALS patients. Another important objective is to explore long-term effectiveness of oral levosimendan in the treatment of patients with ALS. This study is open only to patients taking part in the REFALS study.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the pharmacokinetics (PK) of pimodivir after a single oral dose of 600 milligrams (mg) in adult participants with severe renal impairment who are not on dialysis and in adult participants with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) who are not yet on dialysis compared to adult participants with normal renal function (Part A). Optionally, to evaluate the PK in adult participants with mild and/or moderate renal impairment compared to adult participants with normal renal function (Part B).
This was a proof-of-concept study to evaluate the efficacy of LOU064 in patients with inadequately controlled asthma. All subjects were randomized with 3:2 ratio to receive LOU064 100 mg once daily or LOU064 matching placebo for 12 weeks with standard background therapy of budesonide 80 µg/formoterol 4.5 µg two inhalations twice a day (b.i.d).
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the group-based intervention "To Share Or Not To Share" in a German clinical setting. Feasibility and efficacy of the program will be tested in a pilot randomized-controlled trial.
