There are about 36818 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in China. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), retinitis pigmentosa, RP, diabetic retinopathy (DR) are the most common blinding eye diseases in the world. Vision and visual field are often severely impaired, quality of life is reduced, and personal and family burdens are heavy. This kind of low vision people, can use visual AIDS and other instruments for visual rehabilitation training, maximize the function of residual vision, improve the quality of life. Beyes, HOLA, Acesight and OXSIGHT are among the latest eyeglasses devices that are expected to improve the quality of life for people with low vision. This research group intends to recruit advanced patients with primary glaucoma, AMD, RP, DR and other common blinding eye diseases who visited Zhongshan Ophthalmology Center of Sun Yat-sen University from June 2021 to December 2022 to study the changes of visual function and quality of life after wearing this new type of head-worn visual aids, and analyze relevant factors combined with clinical data. To evaluate the effect and influencing factors of the new head-mounted visual AIDS on patients, and provide theoretical basis for subsequent clinical research.
This is a randomized controlled human exposure crossover study. Investigators aims to assess the acute effects of low temperature exposure and the underlying mechanisms.
The goal of this phase I/II clinical trial is to test in relapsed or refractory acute lymphoblastic leukemia (R/R ALL) patients undergoing allogeneic hemopoietic stem-cell transplantation (allo-HSCT). The main question it aims to answer is: • The efficacy and safety of blinatumomab maintenance therapy in reducing the recurrence rate a in R/R ALL patients after allo-HSCT. Participants will take intravenous blinatumomab after allo-HSCT. The dose of one course was as follows: day 1-2: 8ug/day, continuous intravenous drip for 24 hours, day 3-7: 16ug/day, continuous intravenous drip for 24 hours. Treatment with blinatumomab was initiated within 60 to 90 days after transplantation and was administered bimonthly until 1 year after transplantation. Dexamethasone 20mg was administered 1 hour before administration on days 1 and 3 to prevent adverse events.
The goal of this observation study is to test in patients undergoing allogeneic hemopoietic stem-cell transplantation (allo-HSCT). The main question it aims to answer is: • Effect of MAGIC algorithm probability guided preemption of aGVHD with ruxolitinib on prevention of severe aGVHD. Participants will take ruxolitinib with the dose of 5mg bid for 28 days. If no signs of aGvHD, the dose of ruxolitinib is gradually tapered within the following 16 days. Researchers will compare patients who don't receive preemption of aGVHD with ruxolitinib to see if there is an improvement in severe aGVHD.
Combining the results of previous studies and based on the clinical practice in our center, we designed the Venetoclax in combination with 3days-Decitabine regimen for induction therapy in elderly or unfit AML patients with a primary diagnosis, and set Venetoclax in combination with Azacitidine (VIALE-A) as a control group to compare the efficacy and safety and to provide evidence for the optimal selection of the clinical treatment regimen. PRIMARY ENDPOINT: To assess whether Venetoclax in combination with 3 days-diascitabine versus standard dose Venetoclax in combination with azacitidine improves event-free survival (EFS) in elderly or adult patients with unfit AML during the maximum follow-up period. Event-free survival was defined as the absence of events such as treatment failure, intolerance withdrawal, all-cause death, or achievement of CR or CRi, or relapse after MLFS, whichever occurred first, between patients' randomization and the maximum follow-up period. Treatment failure was defined as failure to achieve CR or CRi, MLFS after 2 courses of induction therapy.
This aims to investigated the short-term (12, 16, and 20 h) effects of 0.01% atropine (0.1 mg/ml) on pupil size and subjective quality of vision in participants with myopia. Particpants will receive 0.01% atropine one drop to both eyes before bedtime. Baseline parameters were measured before atropine application. Changes in pupil sizes, under photopic and mesopic conditions, high-order aberration, and tear meniscus height were observed over the next day (12, 16, and 20 h).
Liver metastasis is the main reason that affects the survival rates of patients with colorectal cancer (CRLM), and is also the main cause of death of those patients. Especially after the failure of first-line or second-line system treatment, the prognosis of those patients is extremely poor, with the median OS of only 3.5 months. Even in combination with molecular targeted drugs such as cetuximab or bevacizumab, the median tumor-free survival period is only 4.8-6.8 months, and OS is only 11-15 months. When they have disease progression, treatment is currently a difficult clinical problem. Regofinib is a new targeted drug for the third-line treatment of advanced colorectal cancer in recent years. However, in the prospective multicenter clinical study, compared with the placebo group, the extended OS is only 1.4 months, which is not so satisfactory. How to improve the survival of these advanced patients with drug resistance is an important clinical problem to be solved urgently. Minimally invasive local treatment may be a promising way to solve this problem. Transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) and hepatic artery infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) are currently the most widely used methods in clinical practice. In theory, TACE combined with HAIC can control small metastasis and embolic residual lesions. The combination of TACE and HAIC can improve the curative effect. Whether the combination of TACE, HAIC and Regofinib can be expected to achieve the effect of 1+1+1>3 in CRLM patients who have failed the previous second-line chemotherapy remains unknown. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore the safety and clinical efficacy of irinotecan-loaded drug-eluting beads-TACE (DEBIRI-TACE) combined with HAIC and Regofinib in the treatment of patients with CRLM who failed standard treatment regimens.
A prospective, open-abel, phase 2 clinical study to investigate whether interim Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) DNA-directed therapy can improve the prognosis of localized nasal extranodal NK/T cell lymphoma (ENKTL) patients.
ACLF is a syndrome characterized by rapid deterioration of liver function in chronic liver disease or undiagnosed chronic liver disease, with a high risk of short-term death. Both CMA and EASL mentioned that there is currently lack of specific drugs and treatment of liver failure. For patients with ACLF who are still graded as 2 or 3 after active medical treatment and/or artificial liver therapy, and the CLIF-C score is less than 64 points, it is recommended to perform liver transplantation as soon as possible within 28 days. Early liver transplantation is crucial for improving the prognosis of ACLF, reducing the risk of postoperative infection, progression from early ACLF to late ACLF, and further improving the 1-year post-transplant survival. The current priority for liver allocation based on MELD-Na can't give priority to liver donor matching to ACLF 1-2. Therefore, expanding the donor liver pool is an urgent need for early treatment of patients with ACLF. France team reviewed the development of APOLT to RAPID technology in liver transplantation for liver cirrhosis. Among them, 9 cases underwent two-step hepatectomy (including 5 cases of orthotopic assisted liver transplantation and 4 cases of RAPID surgery), 8 patients survived until the end of follow-up. Based on the experience of clinical practice, our center proposes and designs a clinical study of sequential adult left lateral lobe liver transplantation (SALT) for the treatment of early ACLF (Grade 1 and 2). On the basis of APOLT and RAPID, the safety and efficacy of sequential adult left lateral lobe liver transplantation were evaluated for the above patients.
