Effect of Electroacupuncture on Treating the First-episode Depression

Depression is a disease that endangers the physical and mental health of all human beings. Only 30-40% of patients with initial episode depression are cured after treatment with antidepressants. Acupuncture is a widely recognized therapy to treat depression in clinical practice, and it can effectively relieve the depressive mood and improve related physical symtoms in patients with mild to moderate depression. This randomised controlled trial (RCT) is aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of electroacupuncture (EA) in the treatment for patients with the first-episode of mild to moderate depression.

Regorafenib in third-line treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer(mCRC) significantly prolongs the survival of patients, and its advancement has a sensitizing effect on postline chemotherapy and thus improves the prognosis of patients. Therefore, the present study was designed to include patients who achieved stable disease/partial response(SD/PR) after 3 months of second-line therapy and advance regorafenib to investigate the role of advance regorafenib in prolonging progression-free survival, prolonging the efficacy of overall survival, safety, and quality of life in patients with mCRC compared with standard second-line and third-line therapy.

Therefore, The researchers plan to conduct a randomized controlled trial among myopia adolescents aged 12-17 in middle and high schools in Guangzhou, to test and verify the safety and effectiveness of CARE1.02 on myopia control compared with single-vision spectacle lens.
