NCT ID: NCT05885932 Recruiting - Ischemic Stroke Clinical Trials

Drug-eluting Stenting Versus Medical Treatment for Extracranial Vertebral Artery Stenosis

VISTA
Start date: August 25, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Posterior circulation stroke accounts for 20% of all ischemic stroke. Approximately one quarter of posterior circulation strokes are due to stenosis in the vertebral artery and basilar artery. Two previous randomized controlled trials focusing on vertebral artery stenting, the Vertebral Artery Stenting Trial (VAST) and the Vertebral Artery Ischaemia Stenting Trial (VIST) were underpowered because they failed to reach target recruitment, and both the trials found no difference in risk of the primary outcome between the stenting group and medical group. The drug-eluting stenting versus medical therapy alone for patients with extracranial vertebral artery stenosis (VISTA) trial, is a government-funded, prospective, multicenter, randomized controlled trial. It will recruit patients with 3 months stroke or TIA caused by 70-99% stenosis of extracranial vertebral artery (V1-2 segments). Only high-volume center with a proven track record will enroll patients. Patients will be randomized (1:1) to best medical treatment alone or medical treatment plus stenting. Primary outcome is a composite of any fatal or non-fatal stroke within 30 days after randomization, or ischemic stroke in the territory of the target artery beyond 30 days to 1 year. The VISTA trial will be conducted in 30 sites in China and aims to have a sample size of 472 subjects (stenting, 236; medical treatment, 236). Recruitment is expected to be finished by Sep, 2025. Patients will be followed for 1 year at first stage. Long-term follow-ups till 3 years or longer is also preplanned. The first stage of the trial is scheduled to complete in 2027.

NCT ID: NCT05885828 Recruiting - Type 2 Diabetes Clinical Trials

The PRECISION-T2D Study: Precision Nutrition Study for Type 2 Diabetes

Start date: July 17, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Food plays a crucial role in determining blood glucose levels, especially in people with type 2 diabetes. Precision nutrition, which involves individually tailored dietary interventions, can be a powerful tool in managing blood glucose levels in people with type 2 diabetes. Previous studies found that changes in gut microbiota resulted from the dietary intervention, such as plant-based diet, might subsequently lead to different glycemic responses, and then different health outcomes. In this study, the investigators will characterize the blood glucose dynamics and gut microbiota of individuals with type 2 diabetes. They aim to assess the influence of plant-based diet on gut microbiota; they will also investigate the influence of gut microbiota on glycemic responses. Additionally, a series of individual N-of-1 trails will be integrated to compare the effects of a white bread breakfast and a whole wheat bread breakfast on glucose metabolism at the individual level.

NCT ID: NCT05885555 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Primary Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP)

A Study of Ianalumab (VAY736) in Patients With Primary Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP) Previously Treated With at Least Two Lines of Therapies

Start date: August 16, 2023
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy, safety and tolerability of ianalumab in adult patients with primary ITP previously treated with at least one corticosteroid and one TPO-RA.

NCT ID: NCT05885503 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Diabetic Macular Edema

Efficacy and Safety of RC28-E Versus Aflibercept in Diabetic Macular Edema

Start date: June 8, 2023

The purpose of this study is to evaluate efficacy and safety of RC28-E compared with Aflibercept in subjects with diabetic macular edema.

NCT ID: NCT05885399 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Paraganglioma, Malignant

The Efficacy and Safety of Penpulimab in the Treatment of Metastatic PPGL Patients Who Fail to Other Systemic Treatment

Start date: April 1, 2023
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Metastatic pheochromocytoma / paraganglioma (MPP) are rare while the prognosis was poor. Penpulimab is specifically an immune check-point inhibitor of PD1 and has been approved for the treatment of several malignancies. This phase II trial studies the efficacy and safety of penpulimab in the treatment of MPP patients who fail to other systemic therapy.

NCT ID: NCT05885386 Recruiting - Pheochromocytoma Clinical Trials

A Study on the Safety and Effectiveness of Temozolomide for Neoadjuvant Treatment of PPGL

Start date: April 1, 2023
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase II trial studies the effectiveness oftemozolomide in the neoadjuvant therapy oflocally advanced,or unresectable pheochromocytoma or paragangliom(PPGL). Temozolomide (TMZ) is a novel oral alkylation chemotherapeutic agent. Inthisstudy, temozolomidewill be used preoperatively in order to change unresectable tumors to resectable and reduce the high risk of surgery.

NCT ID: NCT05884983 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

Screening Effect of Dual-energy CT Combined With Nasopharyngeal Endoscopy for Screening Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

Start date: February 1, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

All participants will be tested for EBV-related biomarkers, including EBNA1-IgA, VCA-IgA, and BNLF2b total antibody (P85-Ab), and participants with high serologic risk will be selected based on serologic test results, and dual-energy CT will be performed first for high-risk screening subjects, and dual-energy CT will be performed first for the high-risk group to record dual-energy CT examinations of those suspected of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and then endoscopy was performed on the high-risk group to record those suspected of nasopharyngeal carcinoma under endoscopy, and finally biopsies were taken for positive lesion sites indicated by dual-energy CT and suspicious lesion sites found by endoscopy to clarify the diagnosis.
