Primary objective: To determine the effect of Rimonabant 20mg on the co-primary endpoint including Fasting Plasma Glucose (FPG), HDL-Cholesterol (HDL-C) and triglyceride (TG) levels over a period of 12 months when prescribed with a mild hypocaloric diet in abdominally obese patients with impaired fasting blood glucose and with or without associated comorbidities. Main Secondary objectives: To determine the effect of 12 months Rimonabant treatment versus placebo on changes in waist circumference (WC), body weight, glycemic parameters and lipid parameters. To assess the safety of 12 months Rimonabant treatment versus placebo in these patients.

Adeno-tonsillectomy is a commonly performed surgical procedure in children. Main morbidities are postoperative pain, nausea and vomiting, and haemorrhage. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)widely used for paincontrol increase the risk of postoperative bleeding and reoperation. Dexamethasone is an powerful antiemetic and has shown analgesic efficacy. Antiemetic and analgesic dose-response has never been established.

RELAX-ICD Trial/Research Study; Quality of Life/Protocol No.P-KARE-01: A 3-month outpatient rehabilitation therapy and psychological counselling including informative talks with conventional therapy, by a cardiologist or general practitioner after implantation of an internal cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) in adult patients, whereby the effects of three different strategies are compared. Study hypothesis: the rehabilitation programme will be beneficial in the management of any psychological problems possibly as a result from the intervention, and will help to overcome anxiety, and contribute to improved quality of life.

This study treats patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma whose disease is in complete remission due to previous treatment with Cyclophosphamide Doxorubicin hydrochloride Vincristine Prednisolone- Rituximab (CHOP-R). Half of the patients received Zevalin and the other half receive no further anti-cancer treatment. The two patient groups compared to determine if Zevalin given after CHOP-R therapy provides greater benefits than receiving no additional anti-cancer therapy after CHOP-R.

Study subjects will have the diagnosis of mild dementia of the Alzheimer's type. Subjects may be taking approved medication for Alzheimer's disease provided the dose has been stable for at least 6 months.
