NCT ID: NCT06102057 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Stage III Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

PACCELIO - FDG-PET Based Small Volume Accelerated Immuno Chemoradiotherapy in Locally Advanced NSCLC

PACCELIO
Start date: February 27, 2024
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Multinational, randomized, controlled, open-label, multicenter phase II trial. Eligible patients will be randomized in a ratio of 1:1 to Experimental Arm (FDG-PET-based small volume accelerated radiotherapy with concurrent standard of care chemotherapy) or Conventional Arm (standard FDG-PET-based radiotherapy with concurrent standard of care chemotherapy). Patients showing complete response, partial response, or stable disease following chemoradiotherapy will receive standard of care consolidation therapy with durvalumab (fixed dose of 1500 mg q4w) for up to 12 months or until progression of disease, unacceptable toxicity, patient´s wish, or investigator´s decision, whichever comes first. After end of durvalumab therapy, patients will undergo safety follow up for 90 (+7) days followed by survival follow up until overall end of study. Overall end of study will be reached 24 months after the last patient has started durvalumab therapy. Patients showing PD following chemoradiotherapy will be treated according to investigator´s decision but will be followed up until overall end of study.

NCT ID: NCT06100718 Recruiting - Ischemic Stroke Clinical Trials

Discovery of New Cancer in the 1-year Follow-up After Ischemic Stroke in Patients at Risk: The INVISIBLE-1 Study

INVISIBLE-1
Start date: January 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

INVISIBLE-1 aims to prospectively follow patients up to one year after ischemic stroke to: 1. Determine the cumulative incidence of occult cancer in patients with embolic stroke of undetermined source (ESUS) and elevated D-dimer 2. Describe occult cancer characteristics and spontaneous course of occult cancer Methodology The investigators will include 370 stroke patients with elevated D-dimer (≥ 820 μg/L) at the time of stroke, suspicion of ESUS after initial workup and without known cancer. The investigators will perform a follow-up telephone interview at one year to assess the occurrence of a new cancer and characterize the course of the disease. Significance Determining the real incidence of occult cancer in high-risk patients will help support the implementation of screening trials in the future. Faster detection and treatment of occult cancers would significantly impact patient' outcomes by offering faster cancer treatment and optimal secondary stroke prevention.

NCT ID: NCT06097728 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Unresectable Pleural Mesothelioma

MEDI5752 in Combination With Carboplatin Plus Pemetrexed in Unresectable Pleural Mesothelioma

eVOLVE-Meso
Start date: November 9, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a phase III, randomized, open-label, multicenter, global study to determine the efficacy and safety of Volrustomig (MEDI5752) + Carboplatin + Pemetrexed vs the investigator's choice of platinum + Pemetrexed or Nivolumab + Ipilimumab in participants with unresectable pleural mesothelioma.

NCT ID: NCT06097689 Completed - Clinical trials for Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus

A Pilot Study to Assess the Feasibility of a Novel Non-invasive Technology to Measure Changing Blood Glucose Levels in Adults With Type-1 Diabetes Mellitus

Start date: November 24, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The primary aim of this study is to assess the feasibility of the Lab demo 1.0 and associated computational models to detect and track glucose changes noninvasively and transcutaneously in defined and dynamic states of glycemia.

NCT ID: NCT06097520 Recruiting - Postoperative Pain Clinical Trials

Virtual Reality in Postoperative Acute Pain Management in Thoracic Surgery

VRThx
Start date: November 29, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This randomized controlled study is to investigate the effectiveness of VR headsets in reducing postoperative pain intensity among patients after having undergone thoracic surgical procedures.

NCT ID: NCT06097325 Enrolling by invitation - Clinical trials for Burnout, Professional

Impostor Syndrome and Burnout in Swiss Residents and Chief Residents Anaesthesiologists

Start date: May 1, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Surveys including a demographic chart, the Clance Impostor phenomenon scale (CIPS) and the Malash burnout inventory for medical personnel (MBI-HSS-MP) will be sent to residents and chief-residents in anesthesiology in Latin Switzerland (VD, VS, GE, Ti). A qualitative study will then explore the experiences and coping strategies of self-doubt and impostor syndrome of junior resident anesthesiologists working at Geneva University Hospital, during their transition from mandatory training in internal medicine to anesthesiology.

NCT ID: NCT06097130 Not yet recruiting - Healthy Clinical Trials

Batch Fermentation and Microbiome Analysis

Start date: January 15, 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The correlation between diet and microbiota as well as the effect of microbiota on human health is well established. Studies have shown that people following specific diets have different microbiome profile compared to those following traditional or ordinary diets. In order to screen several food ingredients for their effects on human microbiota composition and metabolic activities, in vitro studies are proposed. Nutrients are added in-vitro in fecal sample, eliminating the need for participants to consume any nutritional product. The batch fermentation in vitro system simulates human colonic microbiota from fecal samples, enabling the complex mixture of microorganisms. This system could serve as a simple model to simulate the diversity as well as the metabolism of human colonic microbiota. We will evaluate the effect on nutrient/s on the age specific microbiome via an in vitro fermentation approach for the 0 to 60 year-old period.

NCT ID: NCT06095271 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Multiple Sclerosis, Relapsing-Remitting

MultiSCRIPT-Cycle 1: Personalized Medicine in Multiple Sclerosis - Pragmatic Platform Trial Embedded Within the SMSC

Start date: February 5, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a randomized pragmatic clinical trial fully embedded in the Swiss Multiple Sclerosis Cohort to assess whether sNfL biomarker monitoring improves patient-relevant outcomes and care of patients with relapsing-remitting (RR)MS by either increasing the proportion of patients with no evidence of disease activity (EDA) or by improving patients' health-related quality of life.

NCT ID: NCT06095219 Recruiting - Hip Disease Clinical Trials

MRI-based 3D Hip Labrum and Cartilage Morphology in Patients With Hip Deformities Compared to Asymptomatic Volunteers

Start date: January 18, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

In this study, the investigators seek to describe the normal 3D hip joint morphology in asymptomatic volunteers and compare it to various hip joint deformities. Asymptomatic volunteers will be asked to undergo a non-contrast MRI of the hip at 3 Tesla, utilizing a high-resolution morphologic 3D sequence (3D T2 DESS) that enables the segmentation of labrum and cartilage. 3D morphological parameters of the asymptomatic group will subsequently be compared with the 3D morphological parameters of patients with hip deformities, which were collected as part of a previous retrospective study.
