There are about 9403 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Switzerland. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study aims to assess the performances of optical blood pressure monitoring device, Aktiia.product in the context of cardiac rehabilitation program.
This study is to analyse the demographics and microbiological factors concerning patients undergoing cardio surgical intervention using CPB complicated with bloodstream infection (BSI) postoperatively.
Cognitive decline represents a major threat among the deleterious effects of population aging. The investigators propose to conduct an RCT (randomized controlled trial) on the subpopulation of MCI patients, and examine whether intensive musical or psychomotor group interventions can improve their cognitive and sensorimotor functioning, as well as induce brain plasticity, compared to a passive healthy control group, matched for age, gender and education level. The 2 training regimens will take place twice a week over 6 months and will be provided by professionals in each field.
The study evaluates the long-term safety and efficacy of elexacaftor (ELX)/tezacaftor (TEZ)/ivacaftor (IVA) triple combination (TC) in participants with CF who are 6 years of age and older with F/MF genotypes.
A study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of fenebrutinib on disability progression in adult participants with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (PPMS). All eligible participants will be randomized 1:1 to either daily oral fenebrutinib (and placebo) or intravenous (IV) ocrelizumab (and placebo) in a blinded fashion through an interactive voice or web-based response system (IxRS). Approximately 946 participants will be enrolled and will be recruited globally. Participants who discontinue study medication early or discontinue from the study will not be replaced. The Open-Label Extension (OLE) phase is contingent on a positive benefit-risk result in the Primary Analysis of the study.
This is a randomized, double blind, controlled, parallel group, multicenter study to evaluate efficacy, safety and pharmacokinetics of a higher dose of ocrelizumab per intravenous (IV) infusion every 24 weeks in participants with RMS, in comparison to the approved 600 mg dose of ocrelizumab.
This study will use polysomnography, alongside other methodologies such as questionnaires, actigraphic measurements and salivary melatonin samples used in previous studies to investigate sleep quality in patients with i) localized, locally advanced or metastatic hormone sensitive prostate cancer or ii) with full-resected early (stage I-III) epithelial breast cancer. The measurements will be taken before androgen deprivation therapy (ADT - for prostate cancer patients) or endocrine therapy (for breast cancer patients) is initiated, at 6 months and some measures again at 12 months. The groups, defined by cancer type and whether or not treatment includes ADT / endocrine therapy, will be compared to see if there are differences in the prevalence of the lowered sleep quality in the groups.
The diagnosis and treatment of tonsillar abscess are very physician-dependent, as sufficient prospective medical literature is lacking to choose the most efficient regimen. The proposed study aims to assess the therapeutic efficacy of tonsillectomy compared to drainage under local anesthesia. This is a prospective, randomized clinical trial in adults in a tertiary care center in Geneva (Switzerland).
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of tiragolumab plus atezolizumab compared with placebo in participants with unresectable esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (or those who are unable or unwilling to undergo surgery) and whose cancers have not progressed following definitive concurrent chemoradiotherapy (dCRT). Participants will be randomized in a 1:1:1 ratio to receive either tiragolumab plus atezolizumab (Arm A), tiragolumab matching placebo plus atezolizumab (Arm B), or double placebo (Arm C).
This study is designed to assess the antiviral activity and safety of a two-drug regimen of CAB LA + RPV LA compared with maintenance of BIK. BIKTARVY is a registered trademark of Gilead Sciences.
