NCT ID: NCT02527343 Terminated - Clinical trials for Familial Partial Lipodystrophy

The BROADEN Study: A Study of Volanesorsen (Formerly IONIS-APOCIIIRx) in Participants With Familial Partial Lipodystrophy

Start date: December 28, 2015
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of volanesorsen given for 52 weeks in a randomized treatment (RT) period in participants with familial partial lipodystrophy (FPL). Following the randomized treatment period, participants who did not enter the open-label extension (OLE) period went straight to the 13-week post-treatment (PT) follow-up period and participants who were entered in the OLE period continued to receive volanesorsen for another 52 weeks (Weeks 53 to 104). Following the Week 104 visit of the OLE period, participants had an option of continued dosing for up to an additional 52 weeks (Week 105 to 156). Participants who did not enter the OLE period went straight to a 13-week post-treatment follow-up period. Following the Week 104 OLE period, participants were entered a 13-week post-treatment follow-up period, if they did not choose the option for continued dosing.

NCT ID: NCT02520427 Terminated - Clinical trials for Myelodysplastic Syndrome

A Phase 1 Study of AMG 330 in Subjects With Myeloid Malignancies

Start date: October 20, 2015
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this First-in-Human Phase 1 study is to determine if AMG 330 given as a continuous IV infusion is safe and tolerable in adult subjects that have myeloid malignancies, and to determine the maximum tolerated dose and/or a biologically active dose. The study will be conducted in multiple sites and test increasing doses of AMG 330. The safety of subjects will be monitored by intensive assessment of vital signs, electrocardiograms, physical examinations, and laboratory tests.

NCT ID: NCT02520284 Terminated - Ulcerative Colitis Clinical Trials

Safety and Efficacy of Andecaliximab (GS-5745) in Adults With Moderately to Severely Active Ulcerative Colitis

Start date: September 2015
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The primary objectives of this study are as follows: 1) To evaluate the efficacy of andecaliximab to induce endoscopy, rectal bleeding, and stool frequency (EBS) clinical remission at Week 8 (Cohort 1); 2) To evaluate the efficacy of andecaliximab to maintain EBS clinical remission at Week 52 (Cohort 2); and 3) To evaluate the safety and tolerability of andecaliximab. The study will consist of 3 parts: Induction Phase (Cohort 1), Maintenance Phase (Cohort 2), and an optional Extended Treatment Phase.

NCT ID: NCT02520011 Terminated - Clinical trials for Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Alvocidib Biomarker-driven Phase 2 AML Study

Start date: March 14, 2016
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this two-stage Phase 2 study is to assess the clinical response (Complete Remission) of ACM (Alvocidib/Cytarabine/Mitoxantrone) compared to CM (Cytarabine/Mitoxantrone) treatment in refractory or relapsed AML patients with demonstrated MCL-1 dependence of ≥ 30% by mitochondrial profiling in bone marrow.

NCT ID: NCT02518672 Terminated - Cystic Fibrosis Clinical Trials

Pro-resolving Effect of MAG-DHA in Cystic Fibrosis (PREMDIC)

PREMDIC
Start date: October 2015
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Monoglyceride of DHA (DHA-MAG) is a lipid compound for which intestinal absorption would increase the ratio DHA / arachidonic acid (AA) and promote the synthesis of specific metabolites involved in the resolution of inflammation. The PREMDIC project, initiated at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Sherbrooke, is a randomized double-blind study for people with cystic fibrosis (CF) and aims to evaluate whether daily supplementation monoglyceride of DHA (a fatty acid omega-3 family) will reduce lung inflammation and improve pulmonary function.

NCT ID: NCT02515669 Terminated - Clinical trials for Muscular Dystrophy (DMD)

Study of an Investigational Drug, RO7239361 (BMS-986089), in Ambulatory Boys With DMD

Start date: December 2, 2015
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and tolerability of RO7239361 in boys with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy with any genetic mutation.

NCT ID: NCT02511483 Terminated - Postoperative Pain Clinical Trials

Genetic Predictors of Analgesic Efficacy of Propranolol for Treating Postoperative Pain

PRO_GENE_POP
Start date: May 18, 2015
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study is a randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled clinical trial. The main purpose of this study is to determine if postsurgical pain ratings are improved with treatment with oral Propranolol, and if the effectiveness of treatment can be modified by the presence or absence of SNPs (Single Nucleotide Polymorphism) associated with Cathecol-O-MethylTransferase (COMT) and mu-opioid receptor (MOR1) activity. The treatment period will last for three days and the observation period will last for six months. Effectiveness of treatment will be assessed by means of morphine consumption through quantitative evaluation of IV-PCA (Patient Controlled Analgesia) morphine as primary outcome measure.

NCT ID: NCT02508194 Terminated - Clinical trials for Respiratory Syncytial Virus

A Study to Evaluate the Efficacy of MEDI7510 in Older Adults

Start date: September 29, 2015
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study will be the first assessment of the efficacy of MEDI7510 for the prevention of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) disease. It will also provide estimates of vaccine efficacy and of endpoint incidence in the placebo arm. It will also assess the safety and immunogenicity of concurrent dosing of MEDI7510 and IIV to expand on the observations made in the Phase 1b study of MEDI7510. It will also expand the safety database of participants dosed with MEDI7510. The study will also assess the immune response to MEDI7510 in Season 1 and Season 2.

NCT ID: NCT02504086 Terminated - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus Type 2

Online Support for Diabetes Self-Management

Start date: August 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of online support for diabetes self-management for patients with Type II diabetes in the Vancouver region. Patients will be invited to receive 8 online video consultations (total 2.5 hours) with certified healthcare providers (video calls in a secure Website). Participants will also have access to the use of an online personal health record -- a place to store healthcare information for the patient and healthcare provider to view. Patients' ability to care for their diabetes will be measured at the beginning and the end of the study. Additional measures include glycaemic control, BMI, waist circumference, diabetes self-efficacy, computer and health literacy, patient satisfaction with care and perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness of the technology.
