There are about 10004 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Brazil. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The main purpose of the present study was to investigate the effects of whey protein following resistance training on body composition, muscular strength, functional capacity, and plasma-metabolism biomarkers in older women with sarcopenic obesity.
Systemic autoimmune myopathies are a heterogeneous group of rheumatic diseases with progressive skeletal muscle weakness. The relevance of the peripherical neuromuscular electrical stimulation has never applied in the patients with systemic autoimmune myopathies. Therefore, the main objective of the present prospective, randomized, investigator-blind, placebo-controlled study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the application of an acute peripherical neuromuscular electrical stimulation session in patients with systemic autoimmune myopathies.
The objectives of this randomized withdrawal study are to evaluate the long-term efficacy and safety of the combination of relugolix, estradiol (E2) and norethindrone acetate (NETA), once daily, for up to 104 weeks in patients with uterine fibroids who have completed a total of 52 weeks of treatment, including a 24-week treatment period in a parent study (study MVT-601-3001 or MVT-601-3002) and a 28-week treatment period in the open-label extension study (MVT-601-3003), and who meet the definition of responder, defined as a patient who demonstrates a menstrual blood loss of < 80 mL and at least a 50% reduction from parent study baseline menstrual blood loss volume on the alkaline hematin analysis of the feminine products returned at Week 48 in the extension study.
Takayasu's arteritis is a primary systemic vasculitis that affects large vessels and their main branches. The objectives of the present study were to assess: a) the aerobic capacity (CA); b) security of the acute strength exercise session; c) correlation between CA, as well as strength exercise session, with demographic, clinical, therapeutic, comorbid parameters, and presence and degree of vascular damage; d) serum levels of the cytokines
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of casein phosphopeptide amorphous calcium phosphate fluoride paste (CPP-ACPF) associated with low level laser therapy (LLLT) in the symptomatology and on the quality of life of the individuals with dentin hypersensitivity in a randomized placebo-controlled clinical trial. Volunteers 18 to 50 years old with hypersensitive teeth were randomized into 4 groups: GPlacebo - positioning of the laser tip without light emission + placebo dentifrice; GCPPACPF - positioning of the laser tip without light emission + CPP-ACPF application; GLaser - laser tip positioning with light emission + placebo dentifrice; GLaserCPPACPF - positioning and light emission of the laser beam + CPP-ACPF.
This study is to test the system composed by a 3D virtual environment, attached to the Leap Motion, evaluating its effects on the rehabilitation of hand movements in patients with motor alteration.
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate pharmacokinetics (PK) of ravulizumab administered subcutaneously via an on-body delivery system (OBDS) compared with intravenously administered ravulizumab in adult participants with PNH who are clinically stable on eculizumab for at least 3 months prior to study entry.
In this study researchers want to gain more information on treatment patterns of patients treated with Xarelto in combination with acetylsalicylic acid (ASA). Both drugs reduce the risk of blood clots via different pathways. The study will enroll adult patients suffering from coronary artery disease (narrowing or blockage of vessels that supply the heart with blood) or peripheral artery disease (narrowing or blockage of vessels that supply the legs or head with blood). The study will focus on information on when and why physicians are starting to treat patients with Xarelto in addition to ASA, treatment duration, reasons to discontinue treatment and previous therapies. The study will also look into treatment outcomes for patients being treated with a combination of Xarelto and ASA by their physicians.
Pain is a public health condition, which causes great functional disability. Its consequences pervade the personal and social life of the patient, leading to significant changes in their interpersonal relationships, including work, family and social spheres, reducing the ability to perform daily activities. Conventional treatment modalities have been show a very poor therapeutic response, in that most individuals end up becoming polymedicated patients and refractory to treatment. Among non-pharmacological techniques with promising analgesic effects it includes both the hypnotic analgesia and the transcranial stimulation of direct current (tDCS).
This study quantified the displacement of the center of pressure in the computer in real time and record this data for future analyzes
