NCT ID: NCT00041236 Completed - Sarcoma Clinical Trials

Exatecan Mesylate in Treating Patients With Advanced Soft Tissue Sarcoma

Start date: May 2002
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of exatecan mesylate in treating patients who have advanced soft tissue sarcoma.

NCT ID: NCT00040183 Completed - Pancreatic Cancer Clinical Trials

OSI-774 (Tarceva) Plus Gemcitabine in Patients With Locally Advanced, Unresectable or Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer.

Start date: November 29, 2001
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine if OSI-774 will improve overall survival when combined with a standard dose of the chemotherapy drug gemcitabine, to individuals with pancreatic cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00039364 Completed - Clinical trials for Brain and Central Nervous System Tumors

Imatinib Mesylate in Treating Patients With Gliomas

Start date: March 2002
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Imatinib mesylate may interfere with the growth of tumor cells and slow the growth of the tumor. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of imatinib mesylate in treating patients who have gliomas.

NCT ID: NCT00039351 Completed - Lymphoma Clinical Trials

Combination Chemotherapy in Treating Older Patients With Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma

Start date: March 2002
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combination chemotherapy in treating older patients who have non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

NCT ID: NCT00039208 Completed - Colorectal Cancer Clinical Trials

Combination Chemotherapy in Treating Patients With Colorectal Cancer

Start date: February 2002
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Giving drugs at the time of day that allows for the best drug response may allow the doctor to give higher doses of chemotherapy drugs and kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Randomized phase II trial to determine the best time to give irinotecan combined with fluorouracil, leucovorin, and oxaliplatin in treating patients who have colorectal cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00038467 Completed - Breast Neoplasms Clinical Trials

Randomized Trial Of Exemestane Versus Continued Tamoxifen In Postmenopausal Women With Early Breast Cancer

IES
Start date: February 1998
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

To compare the sequential administration of exemestane with administration of further tamoxifen until 5 years in postmenopausal women with operable breast cancer who have already received 2-3 years of adjuvant tamoxifen, in terms of disease-free survival (DFS), overall survival (OS), incidence of contralateral breast cancer and long-term tolerability.

NCT ID: NCT00038103 Completed - Breast Neoplasms Clinical Trials

Open-Label Study Of Exemestane With Or Without Celecoxib In Postmenopausal Women With ABC Having Progressed On Tamoxifen

Start date: January 2002
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is an open-label, multicenter, randomized (1:1 randomization ratio) study of either exemestane or exemestane plus celecoxib in postmenopausal women with ABC having progressed on tamoxifen.

NCT ID: NCT00036868 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Combination Chemotherapy With Trastuzumab in Treating Women With Metastatic Breast Cancer

Start date: February 2002
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy such as cyclophosphamide, methotrexate, and fluorouracil use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Monoclonal antibodies, such as trastuzumab, can locate tumor cells and either kill them or deliver tumor-killing substances to them without harming normal cells. Combining chemotherapy with trastuzumab may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combining combination chemotherapy with trastuzumab in treating women who have metastatic breast cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00036556 Completed - Prostatic Neoplasms Clinical Trials
