Evaluation of the TICCS Capacity to Identify Trauma Patients With Acute Coagulopathy and Massive Bleeding

A prospective single-centre non-comparative non-interventional open study has been designed to validate, in a target number of 100 trauma patients, the correlation between TICCS evaluated on the site of injury and thromboelastography made on a whole blood sample taken at the latest 30 min after patient's arrival in the resuscitation room. The aim of this study was to evaluate the capacity to discriminate trauma patients suffering from active bleeding and arly acute coagulopathy of trauma and needing Damage control resuscitation from those without this aggravating combination with a new purely clinical easy-to-measure pre-hospital score: the Trauma Induced Coagulopathy Clinical Score (TICCS).

This is a randomized, multicenter, open-label, two-arm study in treatment-naive participants with operable, locally advanced, or inflammatory, centrally-assessed HER2-positive early breast cancer (EBC) whose primary tumors were greater than or equal to (>/=) 2 centimeters (cm). The study was designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of trastuzumab emtansine + pertuzumab (experimental arm; T-DM1 + P) versus chemotherapy, trastuzumab + pertuzumab (control arm; TCH + P). The study comprised a neoadjuvant treatment period, followed by surgery, and an adjuvant treatment period. Treatment can be stopped due to disease recurrence, unacceptable toxicity, withdrawal of consent, or study termination.

A Randomized Placebo Controlled Trial on the Efficacy of Sustained Natural Apophyseal Glide (SNAG) in Low Back Pain Patients

Objectives: Determine the efficacy of the SNAG technique (Mulligan) applied to a subgroup of people with non-specific low back pain (LBP) on two new kinematic-algorythms, on pain, functional disability and kinesiophobia. Design: A randomized double blinded placebo controlled trial with double arms in accordance with the CONSORT statement. Subjects: Patients with non-specific low back pain will be recruting from Saint-Luc hospital, only a subgroup of them will be included according to specific inclusion criteria tailored for indication of application of SNAG's therapy (Mulligan technique applied on the lumbar spine). Method: Subjects will be randomized in 2 groups; real-SNAG and sham-SNAG groups. All patients will be treated during a single session, and real/sham SNAG will be applied from a sitting position with the belt, and in a flexion direction. Two kinematic-algorythms (ROM and Speed) from a validated kinematic spine model will be used and recorded with an opto-electronic device (BTS-Elite). Pain at rest and during flexion, as well as functional disability and kinesiophobia will be recorded by self-reported measures. These outcomes will be blindly evaluated before and after treatment to compare both groups with " Two-Way-ANOVA " statistic with for factors; time and groups.
