This study is intended to treat patients with symptomatic degenerative disc disease at one level of the cervical spine. The patients will be randomized to the DISCOVER Artificial Cervical Disc (total disc replacement) or SLIM-LOCâ„¢ (cervical fusion) to determine the safety and efficacy at 2 years post operative. Follow-up on patients treated with total disc replacement will be continued to 5 years post operative.

The purpose of the first phase of the study is to determine whether, and at what dose, depsipeptide, bortezomib and dexamethasone can be safely administered to patients with Multiple Myeloma. The second phase of the study will establish whether depsipeptide, bortezomib and dexamethasone is effective in the treatment of patients with multiple myeloma. This 2 arm study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of oral Valcyte compared with intravenous ganciclovir for the treatment of CMV disease in solid organ transplant recipients.
